Downloading files in ONE CLICK

I was wondering if there is a way on my MBP to set it up so I can click on a file (picture, link, etc ) to download, and instead of having the "save image as" dialogue box pop up, (after hitting Control-Click) it just immediately downloads without having to do anything else? Is there a way to do this in ONE click (not having to hit both control-click), or just control click and NO "save image as" box popping up?

I usually just drag images onto the desktop ~ click, hold, drag. At least it's only one click
Upgrade to Leopard OSX 10.5.5 and get the 'two fingers on trackpad' click instead of ctrl click.

Uploading more then one file in one click.

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement where i need to read multiple files in one click of a button, I wanted to know how to do that.
Right now i am writing the file paths in an excel sheet (.xls) and reading the excel sheet using the file upload ui element. When i try to access the files based on the entry in the excel sheet , i am not able to do it as the files are not in the client system.
I also tried to read the folder in which the files are located but dint succeed. Please help me out in this.. thanks in advance.

In the bookmark panel, how can I close all bookmarks files with one click?

Every time I want to have just the files on the panel I have to close them on by one to have a genéral view of my bookmarks organisation. It would be so nice to have a feature to close everything with one click. But so fa I have been unable to find a solution. Thanks if you can help!

Safari 1.3.2 won't download files when I click on links

I've been having an issue with my computer. When I'm logged in my account in my 1.8GHZ IMAC POWERPC G5, safari 1.3.2 I click on links such as on apple Iworks 30 day trial download, or to download the Mozilla Firefox webbrowser and it says it downloaded the file, however no download window opened up nor did it download anything. This apparently only happens on my account. If another user logs in my computer under their user account they can download everything normaly. I though Safari was corrupted, so I tried reinstalling OS 10.3.9 and still the same issue. I think it's something to do with the java settings,
I tried everything already and still nothing.
I also tried to trash the Download.plist . I found this in Home_folder>Library>Safari folder>Download.plist
After I trash it relaunch Safari an tried again but NO LUCK!! PLEASE HELP!

I trashed the download.plist in the safari folder and restarted my computer and safari still does not download any link I click on to download. I usually have to press on the "Control" key and select download linked file...however some links you cannot download anything and when I do that only the icon gets downloaded not the actual program such as Firefox mozilla or Iworks 30 day trial.

Uploading Multiple files in One-Click!!!

I have got nearly about 900 PDF files in my file server which need to be uploaded to the KM CONTENT Repository.
what is the best methodology to upload all these file in to the repository in one click.
Is it possible to achieve this??

I just followed your way. i copied the WebDAV URL and pasted and executed in a new browser. and i get....
The folder you are looking for has no displayable content.
You can try one of the following:
Access the folder using the Navigation user interface.
Access the folder as a Web folder. Your operating system and browser dictate whether or not this will work. "
When i choose "Web Folder", i get a pop up and it says "The web folder address Internet Explorer was given was too long. Please use a shorter address."
When i choose "Navigation User Interface", iam taken to the default KM Folder.
I nowhere able to see the folder structure like what you have mentioned in your reply.
Kindly help me out.

Print the html files in one click

Hi All,
I have peculiar requirement in my project.
I am generating the o/p of my robohelp in html files (webhelp). There are number of topics in it.
Now i want the user of this help pages should be able to print the complete help on one click of button or link.
Is this possible? If yes, please let me know the steps to implement it.

I'm doubtful you can make that happen. I think the best you can probably do is to create a PDF version of the entire help system. Then add that back in as a Baggage File. Create a link to the Baggage File that your user may click to open the PDF and they may print from there.

By default a double-click is needed on a file icon to open

Is there a way to customize Dreamweaver CS3 in order to
display a file content from the Files Panel in only one click ?

Anyone know why pdf links won't open? also- malware has hijacked the downloadable file available when clicking on Adobe's file:

Changed OS to Mavericks & pdf links from websites won't open. I also had private browsing on in safari.
I have acrobat 10.1.10. I tried to update it when prompted by auto-updates and it said it can't because the product has been changed since installed. that can only be the switch to mavericks osx. But it might have prompted me to get version 11 though I only have version 10 & I did the version 10 update in mid-Sept.
Then, I tried going to adobe.com, searched "upda" and got a list of the cs items with icons, plus two text only links, one was acrobat for mac and the last one, "Update manager update (Mac OS)". It said it is to "resolve a common issue with Adobe Update manager on Mac OS". I cliucked that and got some bogus file. When I hit the button on adobe's site, it shows that the file name should be Adobeupdatemanager403.dmg or something very similar to that. Instead in the download list /box I got " installjdownloader.dmg" I clicked it once & saw terms of service in which they will switch you to use only their search engine, serve ads, etc. So luckily I didn't install it.
Does adobe need to investigate this malware problem? Others might search the way I did.
Anyway, this all started because after installing mavericks, i can't open any pdfs from the web.

Cannot download files by double-clicking anymore

Until last week, I used to download all my files from the Internet via double-clicking on the "download" icon, but, for some reason, I cannot anymore! I need to control-click and select "download the linked file" now, which would be fine with me if it worked with all the download links, but it doesn't, unfortunately
I was trying to get Skype, and I just cannot.

That was very helpful! I think u found what the problem was! No, actually, u found how to solve it, still don't know what the problem is...
I created a new account and, yes, it works again now! Just like it used to do... I just need to double-click on the "download" icon and it works!
Now, another problem arises... a need to personalize my new account, I have no more pictures in I-photo, I need to change all the preferences again, all the softwares and programs I had downloaded in the past aren't here anymore and so on...
How come the changing of accounts made such a difference?
To answer your questions, my version of 10.3.9 is up-to-date, I have Speed Download 4, but I only installed it AFTER the problem occured, thinking it would solve it (found the idea in a discussion topic from another user having similar problem), well it didn't, but still, the pb does not come from that.
The Skype downloading page was exactly the one I used.
I had been waiting for over 15 minutes. Usually it starts immediately. Like I said previously, it still works but I have to press the "option" button as the same time as I click, whereas before I used to just double-click!
I have about 15 GB available. Memory 512 MB.
I am pretty sure that it has something to do with a preference that I changed, perharps without knowing exactly what it meant.... silly me! And the fact of changing accounts has reset everything to default preferences... But, which one can it be? I've tried several things already, still haven't found...

Batch Print multiple files in one click

I created an Automator app that allows the user to:
1) Ask for multiple Finder Items
2) Print Finder items
Problem is that when it runs I have to click the OK button in the print dialogue once for each individual file. If I run this workflow for 80 files to be printed I have to hit the OK button 80 times! I just want to automate this action too, but cannot find a way to do this.
Is there a way to click just once and have all files printed the same way?

They are all .ods files created by OpenOffice macros from our intranet based MySQL database that are saved to our Tiger Server fileserver. We run a report from the intranet php interface which opens a OpenOffice Spreadsheet macro file, this then populates the template file with each data record one at a time that have been called directly from the SQL query, and then saves the files in a folder it creates for the purpose. It's a bit long winded, but it works. Neither Excel nor Numbers offers this ability.
After the files have been saved they need to be printed. The Automator app I created does nearly all I want, but is not 100% automated as each separate file needs an individual 'OK' button press, which is annoying.

You can select a number of images and hit COmmand-delete to remove them. For what you described, you may have the single image mode turned on - hit "s" to have your delete applied to all images (there is also a button the s key toggles on and off at the bottom left of the screen).
Secondly, how do i delete all photos in total library
which is marked with "X" ?
Go to the preset smart folders under library, one of them is "rejected". Delete everything from there. I don't think that one looks in stacks though so some rejected images may remain if they are in stacks.

Mail one click downloads

Hi all, this problem first started in Mavericks but persists in Yosemite. (Yes it’s a first world problem I know but would appreciate your inout anyway).
When I am sent an attachement in Mail. I can move the mouse cursor to an area in the message where I am given the reply/share options as per below;
Sometimes I can click exactly on the paperclip and mail will save straight to my nominated downloads folder but significantly more often than not I will get a dropdown window that opens, (to my nominated downloads folder). How do I consistently get mail to save to downloads with just one click please?

This is not something that I have done myself.
I tend to right click the actual Pic or File and chose from the options there.
As far as the mouse over icons in your Pic I can only get a Menu to Save or to send to iPhoto.
Realistically I know much more about Messages then I do about Mail.
I have switched mine to Classic view as I don't like the newer layout.

Poblem in downloading file

Hi experts,
I am facing following problem could anyone kindly help.
In my page there is a link for user manual, when the end user clicks on it should open the document in new window. I have return the following code in the layout

the PDF document is present in MIME repository/
even though the code works fine but I am not able to open the PDF file in one click on first click it opens up a window downloading a file but only when i refresh or click the link again then only i can see the document
do anyone know why this is happenning ?

I have a 990XA-GD55 With One Click Bios II-Am I alone?uefi?

I created a post not to long ago asking for help with a situation. I bought a new Board 1 week ago. Board was Brand new, never opened...

The only reason I bought the board---The company I went to purchase, Had a deal on another board with a Pile-driver Processor. I am the type that will read and read, till I know everything about an item before I purchase..Found out that most of the time, you can purchase a combo and find out that the bios has not been updated for the cpu. Only way to fix, buy an older or cheaper cpu and update. I talked to the salesman and come to find out ,the combos they were offering had the same issue..This board had the uefi Bios...I did not want to go threw the head ache, so I opted for a different board..I was told it had no uefi Bios...and I was fine with that, It was a better Board. But than I found out that it too, was not ready for the pile driver...But it was ready for the bulldozer. I have owned the same cpu before. So I purchase The bulldozer and this board-990xa-GD55....
Brought it home-read up on it.....Read it did not have uefi bios...and that was fine...Built the unit top to btm.....Booted it up or hit the power button.....For some reason it took about 30-60 sec to come on. But once it did...I hit delete too get to bios..Guess what I seen--One Click Bios 2..That was weird but ok...download windows 7 all my drivers, all my updates...But I could not find the download for one click bios on the site or on the cd....and everywhere I read claimed that this board was not to have this bios. I even wrote a post here asking about the download...What I was told---This board does not have uefi Bios....So I responded with a pic of my bios and I have not heard back..
I would like to hear from users just like me on this subject..Do you have the same Bios I have? It says One Click Bios II...I am not complaining...This board runs awesome and does everything I need it to do. I am very pleased. I wish I could get the download to have one click on my desktop..Like my other-boards...I am not a newbie to building, and I have had this bios on a few different computers. I would just like to hear, if you might have the same bios...and any issues you had when updating...I am scared to update the bios..I probably will not do it..I would hate to lose this feature.

I have a feeling that alot of people that buy these boards are new to this bios feature, and just don't know better...This is suppose to have the older version of Bios....Not one Click 2...Guy in this post as the same bios as me.....Maybe if enough of use tell these guys we have it--They will include a download for it on Windows...On my other boards...I have one click bios on the board and can access it in Windows with a simple download....Thanks MSI for this feature...But please hook us up with the download too.......I would use the download from another board-But I know better...so I can wait till MSI offers....

If you are reading this and you are like me. You came here for answers. From what the guys here are telling me and from what I have read. These boards are not advertised as having the bios. When I purchased this board I was told that this did not have it. Than in my other post I was told this did not have it. But after a long winded Post. The Msi Tech said these boards come with it and that this model does not support the One Click Bios 2, in windows, Like there other boards. To me that really makes no scene, But I don't make the boards. I am sure these guys can write a program to take advantage of this awesome feature. I did some more hunting and amd has nothing to do with it, so i am assuming it is just this chip-set. To me this really make no scene. But having this bios was Bonus. If you read online or any review-either the person writing the review really never used the board, or maybe he never tried the bios. But I found numerous reviews claiming this board was missing this uefi and it only came with traditional Bios. 'Makes You wonder".........But I am over it....If your wondering these board do come with the uefi Bios but not advertised..advertised as having the older traditional Bios. Hope they will come out with an update for the one click Bios feature in Windows soon.....works out nice when you need to dbl check setting with out resetting your computer..
As for Ram--I asked about using 2133....One the many Msi Boards I have used in the past. There boards have a feature That allows you to just tick what frequency you want to use and than it will set the timing for you. I understand that Your memory controller is in the chip...But this program is in the bios. On This board the Highest is 1866...But when pressing 1866, it will not run it stable. sometimes it wont even post. The ram I am using is g.skill 2133 and i have used it in tons of there other boards with no issues. I have even used it in another bulldozer set up at 2133, Different board....Ran well. This board Can use 2133 easy, but in order to do it you have to go in and set the timing and voltage...Not a big deal for those people that do it all the time. But I like the one click and go. Even though one of the ticks is 1866, this board will need adjustment...so anything over 1600 will need to be done manually. My original question was this board says it can take 2133oc...I am one of the few that know nothing about setting timing and voltage, But with this board I am learning...if any of you have this board and this ram.....f3-17000cl11-4gbxl........Let me know what you set yours on to run at 2133....I have already tried----
11-11-11-31-41"1t and 2t" voltage 1.6.......and it does not run stable.....Maybe I just lucked on on my other board, but I do not own it no more to compare...I would like to hear how you got yours to run stable.......I don't need it.....I just want to do it...

I wan to create a plugin like download manager which download file directly in cloud.
On Download prompt it ask for login and after user authenticate successfully it will redirects to our website in next tab where download will started.
But i am unable to get download file url when click on particular file for download .
I need this download file url and pass it to http server to download there.
Please help me how can i do this ???
