Downloading Flash with Vista

Hi,
I'm having a lot of problems with Vista, so I can only assume
the OS is at the root of this problem. However, if you've seen this
and have a suggestion please let me know.
When I try to download the Flash Player, I get a screen that
says "Copy Error" - Setup unable to copy the file Download.dll. The
only thing I tried was to move the file to my desktop and retry
from that location, and I got the same error screen. Any
suggestions?

I am still getting the message to install the latest version of flash. one thing I did notice is that it wants to put everything inthe folder "c:
windows\system32/macromed/flash" I cant find this folder when I go to the c drive to check its contents. Is this a possible problem??

Did you try the offline installer? Open this article http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html, then
download the uninstaller mentioned in section 1 and save it to disk;
download the executable installer from section 5 and save it to disk;
close all browser windows, then run the downloaded uninstaller, followed by the installer.
If you still have problems, please specify exactly what does not work, or any error message(s) you encounter.

Trouble downloading Flash with windows 7

Has anyone else had trouble with downloading flash 10.1?
I recently tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and now when I download flash it says that I'm receiving an error stating that it did not pass the integrity check. Also my antivirus pops up and says that Adobe is trying to run a trojan horse.
Is it somehow I picked up a Trojan Horse that affects a proper install, or is there a problem with Flash?

Flash with vista giving terrible playback

Hi,
I've recently purchased (within the last week) a new PC with
Vista Home Premium edition installed. I've had my fair share of
issues which has resulted in a couple of reboots, more Vista
problems and compatability than anything else
However, I'm now running a system which seems to be working
OK however through internet explorer or moxilla firefox whatever
browser I chose when I go to watch an online video, whether it be a
youtube clip, or a media club from a website, movie, news bulletin
etc I get terrible playback. Constant pausing, jumping, stuttering
and basically it's totally unplayable. I was onto Windows (In
india!) themselves today for around 2 hours installing codecs,
uninstalling DVD RW software etc and the guy on the phone drew a
complete blank and ended up passing it to his senior technical bods
who are looking into this. Does anybody have any ideas or
suggestions? I am totally at my wits end with this, to my knowledge
Java and Flash are both up to date. I've played a DVD through
Windows Media Player and that worked fine, it only seems to be a
problem with website videos. If I can get over this problem I can
try to move on with setting up my new PC, all help or suggestions
greatly appreciated

I thought of something else: Tracert always times out around the 11th hop. I also found an online tracert application on the opposite side of the country that reliably times out as it approaches the same server. I even tried resetting the time out to something ridiculous like 100,000 ms and it times out still.
I realize this doesn't mean much, since unicast routing is asynchronous (so the path from hbogo to me is probably different than from me to them), I might be getting hot-potatoed, and the protocol on which tracert relies combined with the low importance of its packet's information means that its most likely to be tossed out by a server (giving me the fasle positive that packet loss derives from a server which doesn't feel like responding to tracert requests).
Despite the fact that tracert is diagnostically weak, is there any way that low-level stuff like latency could affect how Flash decodes the video? The buffer seems full everytime I check it, so I don't know how it could, but then again, I don't know much about networking in the first place.
Oh, I'm in Philadelphia, the online tracert utility I think was in California, and I'm pretty sure the HBOgo video server is somewhere near Texas.

Cannot download attachments with vista on HP laptop

I cannot download any attachments / files (pdf, jpg, etc.) using my HP laptop running Vista Home Premium with web-based email programs Juno.com or mail.com ; the problem started several weeks ago. This HP laptop is an AMD Turion Dual-Core.

your link just says what I already wrote in my post :-( - the question is: is there anything that can be done about this? Is there anything that NI will do about this? What am I supposed to tell my customer with an HP notebook? "Sorry mate, HP notebooks are not supported by us"?

Problems with flash in vista - Not IE RELATED

Just got a new laptop yesterday with:
vista home premium 32 bit
amd 64x2
1g ram
I like to play poker (just play money) on carbon poker and
poker.com
I installed the programs and went to play on them. The
program loads fine, functions fine in the menus and game lists.
But when I join a game (i.e. there are moving symbols-cards,
chips, chat bubbles) the game window freezes within 5-10 secs,
basically as soon as something on the table moves.
At this point none of the buttons in the table window work.
However, I can go into the lobby (no moving symbols) and exit the
program.
After exiting the program I get an error stating:
"this program requires a missing windows component" blah blah
the details state:
"this program requires flash.ocx, which is no longer included
with this version of windows"
The solution tells me to install the latest version of flash,
which I did.
Same problem.
I have tried uninstalling flash and installing full version
(separate file, not browser based install) - no luck
I have tried installing flash 7 and 8 - no luck
I have tried copying flash9.ocx and renaming it flash.ocx -
no luck
I have tried setting program to run compatible with win xp
sp2 - no luck
I have searched every forum, google search string, adobe, and
ms sites - no luck
I have tried installing a version of carbon poker from vista
downloads - no luck
As far as I can tell, this program needs flash to function
properly in the games. I don't know if there is a problem with
where vista puts flash and the program is looking elsewhere for it
or what.
Can someone please help me figure out how to get these
programs to run? They are not browser based, they are separate
programs run from an exe.

Tech support told me the problem could be caused by flash
unexpectedly terminating. Is there any way to prevent this from
happening? The laptop is a Compaq and came with shloads of garbage
software on it that could be causing the complications. Any
suggestions on where to start? Thanks in advance.

Flash won't download videos on Vista

Ok, here's my deal... unlike a lot of other people (seemingly) I CAN download flash on my 32-bit widows vista home premium programmed computer. However, whenever there's a flash video posted on the net somewhere, it doesn't show up... there's just a blank spot. I right click and get "Movie Not Loaded/About Adobe flash player 10/ Download this video to RealPlayer".
Can someone PLEASE help me with this. I've tried a million different things, including running flash as administrator. Nothing is working and it seems that 90% of the web has gone to flash.

Flash in Firefox with Vista Ultimate Works a while then stops working until restart

I recently got a new computer with Vista Ultimate. I
downloaded all the patches and installed the latest versions of
Firefox (2.0.0.4) & Flash Player (9.0.45.0). I have the
following add-ons loaded in Firefox: Firebug 1.05, Greasemonkey
0.7.20070607.0), Tab Mix Plus (0.3.6), Talkback (2.0.0.4), DOM
Inspector (1.8.1.4). This is the process that happens.
1) Connect to the computer in questoin using RDP
2) Launch Firefox and go to a site like Youtube or MySpace.
It works great. Everything plays that I click on.
3) Disconnect from RDP and reconnect.
4) The Flash plays never work again. They will typically
start a show for 2-10 seconds and then just "halt". This is every
movie I view off of either YouTube or MySpace. Even if I close the
Myspace & YouTube tabs and open them in a new clean tab.
If I close Firefox and reopen it everything starts working
again. Again this appears to work until I disconnect from RDP
again.
What is going wrong here? What can I do to fix this or upload
data dumps so this can get fixed?

Is there a driver available for the hp laserjet 1160le to download for my laptop with vista os?

I have an HP LaserJet 1160Le with wired connection to a Dell laptop with Vista OS. The driver I have will not allow me to print more than one page at a time from most software programs I use including MS Word, Adobe Reader9, WordPerfect, and Photoshop Elements 9.
No driver update seems to be available on HP website. Please advise.

According to this Apple article, a driver for your HP LJ 3800 is available from Apple. So what should happen is when you add the printer to the Mac, the supporting driver should be downloaded from Apple and installed.
Is the printer being connected to the Mac via USB cable or is it networked?

How to download flash video with firefox only?

I leaned that I can download flash video clips using only firefox browser without using 3 rd party
software,so when a video starts playing I select tools- page info -media, then I should select the video

Having trouble with downloading flash player

first of all, I have a mac (mac os x v. 10.4.8 with a intel
core 2 processor (mayby it's important for you to now wich
version))
One month ago I tried the macromedia flash demo, now the
try-out had past his 30 days I trowed it of my computer.
With the search-button I looked for evrything on my computer
that had flash in his name (
so also the flash player )
and trowed it away. I don't know what went wrong but now when
I tried to download flash player it always give me - after
downloading - the warning that there is missing a plug-in for flash
player and they always send me to the flash player downloading
center. For those ho doesn't get it yet: I already tried
downloading it from that place, several times.
now, I tried already a un-installer( or something like that)
and even a lower version of flash player. Nothing works!
please help me! ( for those ho wan't photo's of all the steps

Can I download Flash CS6 with Adobe CC membership?

My goal is to build a projector that plays on a local PC, but Flash CC doesn't create projectors (except through some elaborate AIR route). So, I need to download Flash CS6 apparently to build the .exe without going through AIR.
Can I download Flash CS6 using Adobe CC membership? I had read on board postings about 4 months ago that this was an option. But I don't see the option anymore. Has Adobe changed this? Any suggestions? Thanks!
