Downloading from Apple Mountain Lion App Store Hangs 2901 router

Cisoers,
I have a repating 2901 router failure when people attempt to download Apple Mac OS X Moutnain Lion upgrade from App Store.
The 2901 just hangs following getting a series of ZBFW packet drop failures:
001928: Jul 26 22:37:18.783 UTC: %APPFW-4-HTTP_PROTOCOL_VIOLATION: HTTP protocol violation (0) detected - session 192.168.223.109:49310 184.25.254.67:80 on zone-pair ZP-PRIVATE-OUT class ccp-protocol-http appl-class ccp-http-blockparam
001929: Jul 26 22:37:20.871 UTC: %APPFW-4-HTTP_DEOBFUSCATION: Deobfuscation signature (15) detected - session 192.168.223.109:49369 66.235.138.44:80 on zone-pair ZP-PRIVATE-OUT class ccp-protocol-http appl-class ccp-http-blockparam
001930: Jul 26 22:37:22.779 UTC: %FW-6-DROP_PKT: Dropping tcp session 192.168.223.130:49217 184.31.204.244:443 on zone-pair ZP-PRIVATE-OUT class ccp-insp-traffic due to  Stray Segment with ip ident 0
The failure results in the ACT Light stopping to blink and the SYS Light remains on solid Green and the entire router hangs.
I cannot SSH to it, all logging to console stops and the only way I can recover the router is by powering it off and on again.
This is very alarming as this is a very common download site and I am finding router is hanging consistently and repeatly when people go there.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
This looks like a major bug in IOS.
Regards,
John.

Hi Peter,
thanks very much for the suggestion.
I did a check on the 2901 and the config has very small (default) allocations:
parameter-map type ooo global
tcp reassembly timeout 5
tcp reassembly queue length 16
tcp reassembly memory limit 1024
tcp reassembly alarm off
As per your suggestion I have update the sizes (the 2901 has 2GB RAM) moved HTTP application inspection back up to it overides straight tcp protocol inspection.
parameter-map type ooo global
   tcp reassembly timeout 5
   tcp reassembly queue length 512
   tcp reassembly memory limit 16384
   tcp reassembly alarm off
I have a couple of further Apple Mac's that need to be updated to Mountain Lion so will test download again when updating these machines.
Cheers,
John.

Just to make sure we are on the same page... can you tell me exactly what you mean by this Mountain Lion page?
Within the Mac App Store, it is the page that comes up when I find the Mountain Lion "app" and go to its details. Screen grab added below.
If you notice, it says "Download" and not "$19.99". Given that I haven't yet bought Mountain Lion, it should've showed me the price there I suppose.
Anyway, when I click the Download button, it shows me an error telling me I have to login as my friend's account! Screen grab attached

  • Mountain Lion App Store Download Error

Trying to download Mountain Lion from App Store. It tells me that program size it's only 53.25 MB. When download completes (partially) tells me that download can´t be verified... Please give me a hint. Thanks

I encountered the same error "…can't be verified…"  on my 2010 MBP too. Tried six times and finally I could get it installed. Here's what I did:
Went to "Users & Groups" in System Preferences, checked that the Apple ID specified for the current user is the same Apple ID I used in the download purchase of ML from the App Store.
    Rebooted in Safe Mode.
Went to Disk Utility -> Repair Disk Permissions
Downloaded ML at midnight (and the download was significantly faster!)
    Rebooted in Normal Mode.
    Ran the ML Installer.

Open System Prerferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Click the gold padlock icon to make changes. Yiou may be prompted for your admin password.
Select:   Mac App Store and identified developers

  • Mountain Lion & App Store

    Hi everybody,
I updated to Mountain Lion (10.8.2), and I noticed that most of the programs from App Store, refuse to download.
The message that I am receiving, from the launchpad, is to try again....
    Any idea..?

  • OS X Mountain Lion & app store

    Hi,
I have two problems on app store. One is that on apple website, it once said that customers who purchsed a Mac within one month are allowed to update OS X Mountain Lion for free. I just bought a Mac air last week in an authorized apple store. So I went to app store to download Mountain lion. Because there is only a buy button,( I couldn't find any buttons for those customers) I end up purchasing a mountain lion instead of getting it for free. When I realized in the first second, I clicked on pause button to stop downloading. I am wondering, can I get my money back or can I cancel that purchase because I didn't download it to my laptop and I wasn't intended to buy it. Also, where can I find that priority to download Mountain lion for free?
My second question is that I need to purchase a Microsoft office words and powerpoint on app store. So when I typed them on the search bar, there were templates for MS words and templates for MS powerpoint coming out. Since they  were the top two and associated with words and powerpoint, I purchase them. But when I tried to install them on my Mac,they just didn't  look like regular words/powerpoint. For templates for MS words, there is no workspace and doesn't look like a document anymore. So I am wondering, are they regular words/ powerpoint software? If I installed them incompleted, how should I install them correctly? What is the correct name of those software on App store? Thanks.

  • HT5568 Error with Software Update on Mountain Lion App Store

A software update, of Safari 6.0.2 & iPhoto Update 9.4.2, failed with the error:
    An error has occurred
    This operation couldn't be completed
    (NSURLErrorDomain error -3001.)(102)
Is this my problem or their problem?

Hello - yes, the Software Update function is incorporated to the App Store as Updates. It is somewhere written on the Apple page, forgot where. I also do not want to know :-) As long required and recommended Upgrades will be offered in or another way, i am fine.
I also just installed ML, almost during a coffee break and meeting, and continuosly worked, I am so far fine. One application, MindMap, required Java SE 6. Within 2 minutes it was installed. Need two attempts, maybe caused by overload of system now.
The Indexing took some time, but it was within an hour finished.
So far, I am okay with ML - nothing to complain. Some features will be enabled with iOS6 for the iPad and the integration of different functions into the cloud.

  • HT204088 Report a problem not working in Mountain Lion App Store

When I try to report a problem with an app, instead of showing me the menu as in this article, it opens my browser and sends me to the apple UK support page! (I'm in Mexico by the way so this *****).
So I don't know what to do to report a problem with an app and get a refund

Also just noticed that I can switch FROM a full screen app TO any other (non-full screen) app in another space and it does switch to that space. But can't then switch back or to any other app on another space, as expected.
Plus if you have mutliple full screen apps open then you can quite happily switch between them! So I guess Apple expects us to run everything full screen?!
This had better get fixed for 10.8.3... although re the Parallels mention - I have recently upgrade to PD8 so perhaps not coincidental? Can't recall if the prob first happened before that though.

  • How to enable the (Mountain Lion) App Store Debug Menu

The Mac App Store Debug Menu:
    Quit App Store [ App Store ] File… Quit or [ ⌘Q ]
    Open Terminal
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
    Relaunch App Store

I'm not sure what you mean? I had problems with App Store, I found this info, I posted it in Discussions so it would be easier for others to find. What's up with ''one up splurben"?
Would you prefer I posted this outside Discussions? :-S

  • Unable to purchase Mountain Lion, App Store says Unable to Verify

Whenever I try to purchase Mountain Lion, a window opens saying the distribution file could not be verified, etc.  See included image, haven't found a way around it and can't make the purchase.  My software is current Lion 10.7.4 on a MacBook Pro purchased in mid to late 2010.  Any thoughts?  Thanks!

    One user reported:
Deleted file com.apple.appstore in /var/folders/, dissabled VirusBarrier X6: problem solved!
Be sure you disable all anti-virus software if you have any installed. Disable any firewalls.

Take it somewhere that has better broadband. The best you can do sometimes is invest in new modem that works with your system instead of the rental etc in most cases.
    Do a Safe Boot.
Make sure your firewall is set properly. Don't use 3rd party. AV software can get in the way.
Make sure you are getting the service and a clean strong modem signal - slow is one thing but if it drops off and can't maintain a connection you have hardware issues, not software - and upgrade to a new OS doesn't tend to improve, it may even not work with older networking equipment once you do get it.
I agree and think electronic only goes too far. And when you do get it: burn the package and manually set it aside first before running the intaller! make a flash memory installer, put it on DVDs too.

  • Mountain Lion App downloaded from Apple is corrupt

Downloaded the latest Mountain Lion dirrct from Apple but it will not install due to being correupt

You'll probably need to delete it from the applications folder first. Once you've done that, go back to your Purchases tab in the Mac App Store. Agree with ^ that doing this over a reliable internet connection will minimize complications.

  • I have downloaded OS X Mountain Lion from the App Store. It took two hours to download but now its not running and I have no idea how to make it run!

I have downloaded OS X Mountain Lion from the App Store. It took two hours to download but now its not running and I have no idea how to make it run!
Download was complete and I accepted everything and restarted computer but its still running 10.7.5
Any idea how to get OS X Mountain Lion to run?

What you donwloaded was the OS installer. You still have to do the installation.
To get started, double click on the download, then double click again and follow instructions.
