Downloading from the Cloud?

This should be simple and probably is!! (Me thicko!!)  I've recently done a lot of composing work using Garage Band on my iPhone while on holiday.  It is supposed to feed it to the Cloud.  iCloud management says that the files are there but they are not downloading automatically to the computer when I turn on.  Not quite true- I got a pop up telling me that my computer version of Garage Band needed "upgrading for compatibility" with iOS6.  I duly did that.  It promptly downloaded ONE song, but that's all, from the Cloud and I cannot find how to access the others.
PS APPLE WHY CAN I NOT EDIT MY PRODUCT TO iOS6???

You show as using a PPC iMac G5 running Tiger 10.4.11! No way can that connect to iCloud!
So, what Mac do you actually have and what version of OS X?

I have a handfull of songs in my library that are not showing up bold like the other songs. When I click the icon to download from the cloud nothing happens and they will not load onto my ipod. When I look for them in the purchased area they show up as purchased and downloaded.

So far as I am aware, books haven't been available for 6 years, so I'm wondering if you mean audiobooks.
Audiobooks are not currently part of the content that can be re-downloaded.

Hello,  I have songs that show they are "Waiting" for download from the cloud but they are greyed out.  Some songs in one album are done others in the same album will not download. It is not a time function because i have been working on this for weeks. I have allowed my compter to run for days and the songs are still not accessible.  I have a Match subscription and Match is working.  If I click on the "Genre" link the greyed out songs show that they are ready for download from the cloud but I cannot download them.  I have downloaded over 1500 other songs, so I am trying to understand what is going on here. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.
    Thanks

I did think about that and if I have to I will do that, however there are about 50 songs. I have closed and reopened iTunes several times and I am sure that I have the latest version. It fails right away but I can click on the cloud download icon and download the song that it failed on ... therefore it is not that song "or any one song" causing the issue. Any ideas?

  • How do I download an app I previously had on an older device, not utilizing my cloud or itunes backup. I want to download the app as if it were the first time. Right now it's only giving me the option to download from the cloud when I go to the app store.

How do I download an app I previously had on an older device, not utilizing my cloud or itunes backup. I want to download the app as new as if I had never had it before. When I go to the app store, it only gives me the option of downloading from the cloud with the cloud icon?

When you download something from the iCloud, it is a brand new licensed copy. Your iCloud account just contains a notation that you have this app. It isn't storing an actual copy of the app from your Mac.

  • My music won't download from the cloud

Make sure you are signed in with the Apple ID used to purchase the music in Settings>iTunes & App Store, then download it as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519.

    Hello BwarsIG88
Check your purchase history by going to the iTunes Store and then click on purchases. From there you can see all your purchase history and download what you are missing.

  • How can I delete apps on my cloud?  My kids added a bunch we do not need.  When i go to puchased apps, there is no option to delete, just the option download from the cloud.

My kids added a bunch of apps we do not need.  When i go to puchased apps, there is no option to delete, just the option download from the cloud.

You can't.  Items on the "cloud" are just a visual representation of your purchase history.    You can never delete them, as Apple uses this list to determine what Apps you have access to for free should you ever need to re-download them.
You can hide Apps from that list trough iTunes on a computer though.
iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases - Apple Support
However, Apps do not take up space in your iCloud so no real need to delete them.

  • Any way to create a smart playlist on iOS of songs that have been downloaded from the cloud?

Of my 72gb library it's hard to remember what has been downloaded from the cloud to my iPhone.  It would be great if there was a way to have my tracks be dumped into some sort of playlist to easily access what has been downloaded.  Anyone know of way to do this?  Or recommendations on an easier way to keep track of downloaded tracks?

These all work fine on my mac but again, I was wanting the smart playlist on my iphone.  I could download songs from the cloud on my mac (which wouldnt make sense anyways since it's where my entire library is) but this defeats the whole purpose of accessing my music through my phone and icloud and not having to sync or make playlists on my mac.
Let me ask you guys this, every time you want to listen to something on your iOS device, do you wait for it download?  Do you remember everyhting you've downloaded and only listen to those tracks?  What's your method for listening to music on your device?
Really dissapointed in Match....it's basically a back up service.

  • HT4914 can I still have my entire itunes library on a device or do i have to download from the cloud

Can I still have all my music on my ipod touch device or do I have to download from the cloud?
Also if I can only have it on the cloud how do I get the music whe I don't have a wifi connection?

What??  You asked how to get all your music on your phone at once rather than downloading it to your phone from iCloud.
Go to your purchased list in iTunes and download all your music to your iTunes library, as explained in the linked article.  Then sync it all to your phone using iTunes you're done.  The music will be stored locally on your phone and you won't have to download it again in the future.

  • Syncing music but still have to download from the cloud?

I have purchased and downloaded music to my macbook.  After syncing my computer and iphone via usb, the songs show up on my phone as in the cloud.  Is there anyway to add/sync these songs to my iphone without having to download from the cloud?  I have very spotty Wi-Fi (songs can't download) and I don't want to use cellular data.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Do i have to download from the cloud?

do i have to download from the cloud? it is taking a very long time!!!!

It sounds like you might want to just turn iTunes Match off on your iPad and sync the old-fashioned way from your iTunes library. That way, you can just choose what music you want and not have to redownload everything. You can always turn iTunes Match back on later if you choose to.
Now the other benefit of iTunes Match is that it upgrades your tracks to 256 Kbps. If you're keen on having those higher quality tracks to listen to on your iPad (remember, they're also larger files), you can upgrade them in your iTunes library. Once you've run Match and it's finished its work, you can delete your songs (in iTunes on your computer) and Match will let you redownload them at the higher quality. Just be sure to have a current backup before doing this, just in case, and also note that some tracks might not be able to matched. Be careful not to delete those. You can sort your songs by Kind to weed those out.

  • How do i get my pics to download from the cloud after resetting my phone?

How do i get my pics to download from the cloud after having to reset the phone?  I have 1000 pics and only 90 of them came back.

If these are photo stream photos, what you may not know is that photo stream only keeps photos in photo stream for 30 days, even though they will remain on your devices (up to 1000) photos until your delete them.  The 90 photos that were still there are probably the ones added in the last 30 days.
Camera roll photos are included in your iCloud backup.  If the missing photos were in your camera roll when you last backed up, restoring the backup to your phone should recover them.  If they weren't in your camera roll there is no way to recover them.

  • How do I delete downloads from the cloud?

OK - I'm interrested in uploading to the cloud, not downloading from the cloud. I downloaded some purchased songs, but there seems to be no way to delet them from my phone. No swiping, or deleting from itunes, or new playlist formed. Anyone have any help on this?

If you sync by selected playlists, remove the song from the playlist.  That does not remove it from your music library.  The "Purchased" playlist is just a smart playlist showing the songs in your music library that you purchased (as opposed to ripping from a CD or downloading from the internet).
Playlists shown in the "Music" pane for your phone in iTunes are not a subset of "Purchased", just because they are listed underneath Purchased.

  • Can i store my music on my device without using my data in my phone plan streaming from the cloud? How do i put what I want on there without waiting for each song to download from the cloud one at a time?

How can I store the music I listen to on my iphone without streaming it from the cloud and using all my data on my phone plans?  How do I dump it on my phone all at once in itunes rather than waiting for each song to download individually from the cloud?
