Downloading in Melbourne...Australia. YAY

I simply closed itunes and reopened to find it after the update button!
GO GO GO

Isn't the download encrypted with your iTunes store credentials? I don't believe emailing the file will work???
As for how to update... I clicked on check for update with the iPod selected in the devices sidebar.
It then advises an update is available. I click 'Learn more' and it takes me to an iTunes store landing page, with a big 'Buy now' button...
That loads a license agreement... but when I click 'Agree' nothing happens... it just sits there. No progress bar, no error message, nothing.

  • How can I display local time in Melbourne, Australia? I am using FF4 with Windows XP

I just installed FF 4. In the prior FF version I had a display of the local time in Melbourne, Australia on the lower left side of the screen. After installing FF 4, I no longer have this display. How can I get it back?

    Hello Richard,
Joel has created a nice [url http://joelkallman.blogspot.com/2010/09/automatic-time-zone-support-in.html]blogpost for describing a new feature in APEX 4.0, which does exactly what you want.
If you don't have APEX 4.0 or can't move to "TIMESTAMP WITH LOCAL TIME ZONE", you could try to build that yourself. There's a [url http://www.onlineaspect.com/2007/06/08/auto-detect-a-time-zone-with-javascript]nice example on how to determine the clients timezone in Javascript, which you could use to populate a hidden item on your login page, which you could store in an application item afterwards.

  • Looking for intermediate skill level short course (1 - 2) days in Melbourne (Australia)

    Hi Everyone,
I am relatively new to writing SQL queries, and do not consider myself to be a natural.
Late last year I studied a Unit called 'Introduction to Database Design' at Deakin University. This unit reflected the broad ANSI standard SQL (during theoretical studies), and Oracle SQL Plus (during practical studies). I did quite well in the unit, and now
have a thorough understanding of the basic SQL concepts such as JOINs, UNIONs, etc.
This year I find myself working specifically with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2, and related T-SQL syntax within my occupation. More specifically the company that I work for uses SAP Business One, and the underlying infrastructure at my work is MS SQL Server
    2008 R2.
I would like to study some more SQL formally! My boss will probably back me in attending a one / two day course that deals specifically with T-SQL.
I am ideally looking to learn some 'intermediate' skills, such as CTEs, and Pivots. However performance of the SQL Server itself (such as Load Balancing, and Tuning) does not interest me.
     I live in the
Melbourne (Australia) and would like to find a suitable course in the CBD or surrounding suburbs.
If anybody can suggest any courses / course providers that are very good at teaching in my area can you please share. Finally my budget would probably be somewhere between $600 to $1000 for the course, but if the course comes with high recommendations I might
be able to budget a little higher.
Any help and or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
    Kind Regards,
    David

    Hi David,
According to your description, you are going to find some T-SQL courses near to Melbourne Australia, right?
Since we are not in Australia, it's hard to give you the exact courses about T-SQL in Melbourne. However, you can learn it online. Here are some useful links about CTE and Pviots, please refer to the links below.

  • HT201401 where can I take my US phone for service in Melbourne Australia?

I am new to this and signed up just to ask this question.
Where can I take my phone to have it checked out in Melbourne Australia.  My only trip and the phone (with camera) stopped working the day I left Seattle.

Try this to resolve your camera issue...
Close All Open Apps... Turn the phone Off...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...
Turn the Phone On... and try the Camera again.

  • Why can i not download apps from australia

I live in the UK and wish to download apps from Australia like TENplay but unable to, why is that and when will apple allow us to do so?

It's not Apple's choice. All content is licensed by the rights-holders to Apple to sell on a country-by-country basis, each country therefore has to have its own store and you have to be in a country to use its store. You can try requesting that the app be added to the UK store, but unless the rights-holder agrees to it then Apple can't sell it here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

  • LR3 download problems, Adobe Australia. Question for Adobe or anyone?

It's been several days now since I online-purchased my upgrade to LR3 from Adobe Australia's online store. Serial numbers came through fine by email, no problem. However, when I went to download the file from the link provided in the Serial number email, another issue altogether - Akamai download manager installs then chugs away until 99% download, then freezes the entire system requiring cold restart to resurrect things. Have now tried this several times, always with the same result.
The process does generate a file in the download target directory, called "Lightroom_3_LS11.exe.dlm", 164,378 Kb, as you can see it still has the .dlm extension.
Question to Adobe or anyone else who might feel they know: has Akamai simply failed to remove the .dlm extension, and if I manually remove the extension, is the file likely to work?
The 'alternative download method' on the download site provided to Australian customers seems to be  a dead link, nothing happens when I click on that. Will have to try Adobe Australia's helpline, but that is only 9am-5pm Mon-Fri so I have to wait until next week (it's Friday night here and Monday is a public holiday). No 24/7 help in Asia Pacific it seems!
Note, I did check all of the security settings in IE8 for compliance with Akamai requirements before starting.
Very frustrating, particularly after having zero problems with online purchase/download of all previous versions (I've been a constant user since version 1.0). The difference this time seems to be the Akamai download manager, perhaps particularly in its implementation on the Asia Pacific download site, as US customers seem not to be having the same level of problems?
    My system:
    Windows XP Pro SP3

Just a further update re. my LR3 download problem:
I managed to successfully download the LR3 update file using another computer running Vista 64. That computer was also running different antivirus software (McAfee Security Centre) so that may perhaps also have had an effect.
So for anyone who may be be having similar problems, my experience downloading LR3 from the Adobe Australia website has been:
Akamai download manager failed to download the LR3 update file on the following system:
    Windows XP SP3
    Norton Internet Security 2010
Akamai download manager successfully downloaded the LR3 update file on the following system:
    Windows Vista 64
    McAfee Security Centre
    Cheers,
    David

  • HT201328 Hello, my name is Caterina Taverna. I call the telstra online service in Melbourne Australia and asked for my phone to be unlocked.  I am now in the USA and have purchased a temporary sim card and cannot activate.  Asking for Activation Required.

This is now urgent as I need to have contact with my mother and nan who is very sick.

TJBUSMC1973 is correct. Back up your iPhone and then restore to factory settings. During set up you will be prompted to download and install Network Carrier Settings(this is the unlock).

  • NEED HELP: Where can I try out the iOS SDK in Melbourne, Australia?

hey guys, i'd love to try developing for the iOS SDK and from what i can tell the only way i'll know if i can develop for it is actually doing it myself. i've been reading books about it, but i feel like this just isn't enough. the only problem is, i don't have a Mac and i'd rather not buy one just in case the SDK isn't for me because then i would have bought the Mac for no reason.
there are a couple Apple retail stores near me, but i've never been into one before. does anyone know if they'll be able to help me out by allowing me 20-30 minutes to try out the SDK? i don't mind paying.
thanks guys, i'd appreciate any help.

Walk in to the store and ask. In general, Apple Store employees are told to display a helpful attitude towards (possible) clients.
If they don't have a Mac with the SDK already installed, you might want to come back later until the local Genius is done downloading and installing it.

  • Just got my itouch in Melbourne Australia at 1 pm today 25th

Hi Just to let all the Aussies know that the itouch is now delivered
    I live in Melbourne.
I am just off to play with it
    David

Got my week 38 Macy Gray 16GB Touch that I pre-ordered on Apple.com today. Works flawlessly so far and the screen looks great. I don't have an iPhone to compare side by side, but I've played with the iPhone a bit and this screen looks as good as I remember the iPhone looking.

  • Any experts in Melbourne, Australia?

The time has come for me to incorporate a database into my
    web sites, but I have
now read enough to realise that there is a very big learning
    curve involved --
especially in getting everything set up so the various
    components talk to each
other. Is there anyone in Melbourne who, for a suitable fee,
    would be prepared
    to set up my sites?
I run a private charitable foundation, and I have several
    private web sites,
    primarily for my own amusement.
If you are able to help, please ring or e-mail me.

    TW,
One say is to format your column as Text before entering the zip codes. Then the data will be treated as text and the leading zeros will not be stripped.
Another way is to use the Numeral System format, Base 10, Places 5.
Yet another way is to create a Custom Format with 5 places and with the option to show leading zeros and Hide Separator.
    Regards,
    Jerry

  • When will Vikings be downloadable for Australia??

When will "Vikings" be downloadable for Itunes Australia??

We are fellow users on here, we won't know. Assuming that you mean the TV series, then it will be when the TV company grants Apple a license to sell it there - you can try requesting that it be added, but ultimately it's the TV company's choice as it if/when it will be added to your store : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

  • I can not download and play HD rented movies through my TV2

    My Problem:
I can not download and play HD rented movies through my TV2
and get the following message   "an error occurred loading this content. Try again later"
Do others have the same problem of not being able to play rented HD?
All my other activities are normal. I can play Standard Def rentals, Movie Previews, HD MLB, and all else as necessary except HD rentals
    I have a 13.5 Mbps connection.
I have gone through ALL of the expected procedures. Changed the cable, did a reset, did a restore.
This has happened with two TV2's as I replaced the first one due to the "unable to update issues"
The current TV2 now has the current up to date software since that issue has been resolved for all.
    Any answers???
    Location Melbourne Australia.

This is a new TV2. Actually my second. First bought less than 2 weeks ago. it was returned to the store and replaced because of the issue of not being able to update the TV2 software from 4.1.1 to 4.2.2.
Both machines had that same problem, and both could not play the rented HD movies.
The second TV2 has sicne been able to update to 4.2.2 when everyone else who had that problem went away this last weekend. So I have gone from 4.1.1 on two machines and no HD rentals to the current one updated to 4.2.2 and still no HD rentals.
The Standard def comes in fine and no real delay. And IF the movie previews are HD (when it is turned on in settings) then I have had NO problems viewing them.
I also have NO problem viewing HD MLB games on the TV2
