Downloading & installing Flash Player v11.9.900.152

Please Help!
I am trying to download but when I click install at step 1 I am taken directly to the adobe home page.  Does anyone know if there a problem on the site or am I doing something wrong?

It's something in the updater.
Bypass it.
Download the Adobe Flash Player FULL installer directly by clicking one of the following links.

When I install Flash Player version 10.2.152.32, it shows up in the control panel, under Programs and Features but the only thing that shows up is the name and version of the product.  On the right hand side, the size of the program in megabites is supposed to be displayed but it isn't for flash player.  I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and it is a 32 bit operating system and the browser I use is Windows Internet Explorer.  Does anyone know why I could be having problems downloading this?

What is the problem you are having?  Does Flash Player work?  Can you see the Flash animation at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?
Flash Player is a browser add-on, not a standalone program, and most likely therefore does not indicate any program size in the Control Panel.

Need instructions for downloading/installing Flash Player in my PC

Hi, This is the Adobe Flash Player Uninstall link:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
This is the Adobe Troubleshooting Guide which you may want also to review. I would suggest using the Manual Installers which you can download and SAVE to your Desktop. Pay attention to any apps using Flash, you may need to Disable any Anti-Virus. Be sure to use the Administrator Account and check Settings. Be sure to Reboot after running the Uninstaller and also after Installing.

  • FOUND A FIX FOR ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 11.9.900.152

I have Windows 7, 64bit and Internet Explorer 11 installed.  I found the fix for Adobe Flash Player after 2 days of doing everything.  I thought that the fix should be something very easy and it was.  I spent 2 full days doing all kinds of ridiculous things, i.e. uninstalling, reinstalling, restore computer, deactiving XActive, reactivating, changing stuff under internet options, etc.  The problem was Internet Explorer 11 update caused Adobe Flash Player not to work or recognize the flash player, or installing a new router caused it not to work.  Websites kept displaying messages to download Adobe Flash Player when I already did.  There appeared to be a conflict where some videos played and other did not.  Youtube did not work anymore.  All the problems that other people posted under these forums happened to me.  I could not play the games I was playing before, etc.  Anyway, I am NOT a tech person and understand little and almost gave up when by accident I found the fix and EVERYTHING works without rebooting anything, uninstalling or reinstalling etc. as all the people in the forums posted.  Everything was so complicated!!
THE FIX:  Go to Goodgle Chrome browser.  If you don't have it, download it.  The Adobe Flash Player is included in this browser.  Anyway, at the very top RIGHT HAND SIDE there are lines in a square formation.  Click on that and go to SETTINGS.  Go to very bottom and click on SHOW ADVANCED SETTINGS.  SCROLL DOWN TO THE VERY BOTTOM and click on RESET BROWSER SETTINGS.  After I did that, EVERYTHING WORKED!!!!!!!!!!! Youtube worked, my game worked in BOTH GOOGLE CHROME AND INTERNET EXPLORER 11.  It was like a miracle and  a simple fix.
I hope I can save some people ALOT of aggravation and frustration.  Adobe should have this fix displayed PROMINENTLY EVERYWHERE if it is indeed this simple.  Let me know if this helps.  All I know is that I had the same issues as everyone else in the forums and now it is all fixed.  I have very limited knowledge, almost none.  It just seemed that something was blocking the videos from coming up.

Thanks Mike.  I'm not sure what I'm doing but I also re-downloaded the flash player and I got YouTube videos to play again.  I have IE11 that I tried to uninstall (it won't let me) so I had to use a restore point, so videos I noticed in yahoo.ca can't play but I read lots of people having issues with this.  But, by using a restore point, and re-downloading the flash player (a couple of time until it took), I got Youtube and my game back on IE11.  I plan to use Chrome Google though after this experience as everything works there

  • Downloaded, Installed Flash Player Update to 10.1: Can't find it

    Hi,
I'm on a Mac Pro Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 64-bit, OS 10.6.4 and use Firefox as my main browser.
    I have three (3 ) Flash Player applications (version 10, 0, 22, 87 )  on my computer, located in:
    Applications/Adobe Flash CS4/Players/Flash Player.app
    Applications/Adobe Flash CS4/Players/Release/Flash Player.app
    Applications/Adobe Flash CS4/Players/DeBug/Flash Player.app
I just updated my Firefox browser to FF 3.6.10, which advised I needed to install an updated Flash Player (to 10.1)
So I downloaded install_flash_player_osx_ub and followed the instruction to install the update.
It said I would have to close all browsers for the install to be successful. I assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that when I double clicked on the install icon it would alert me that it was time to close the browsers and/or automatically close the browsers. I followed the prompts to install. It never prompted me to close anything and proceeded to install the update. The install was deemed successful.
I checked my Flash Player.app version by going to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. It said, "You have version 10,1,82,76 installed."
I checked my Firefox Plugins and have the Shockwave Flash 10.1.53.64 plugin. (Don't know if that is the latest or not)
However, I cannot find a Flash Player with the version of 10,1,82,76.
The question is, was that update installation really successful?
The other question is if it was successful,  where will I find it?
Finally, was I supposed to uninstall my Flash Player apps?
The original 3 versions of Flash Player.app still say they are version 10, 0, 22, 87.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, You didn't have a clean Uninstall. I think what you need to do now is use the Troubleshooting Guide for Mac and follow the instructions. I would first click on the Uninstall info and get that done. I'm sure it will guide you through to confirm that you have Uninstalled all of the old Flash Player. Then go back and click on the Install info and follow that.
    Link: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html
This time after you confirm that the old Flash files are Uninstalled, I wouldn't go to the test site. Either follow the instructions in the Troubleshooting Guide(which is best) or the Install link I gave you.
I don't troubleshoot Macs since I am not familiar with the system. Uninstall and Install info, and some basic instruction that is the same as PC's, test sites, etc.
If I could help you further, I would. Adobe has revised Troubleshooting Guides for the PC & Mac, Uninstall and also Install info just recently. Since I use a PC, I cannot obtain as much information as I would like from the Mac guide, since it detects I don't have a MAC, LOL  It doesn't know that I don't want to Uninstall or Install, just want info for you or other Mac users:-)
But go ahead and try the Troubleshooting Guide for Mac, it is the latest.
    Thanks,

  • Can't download/install Flash Player 10

    Guys,
I'm running IE8 on Windows 7 Pro x64 and I am having trouble downloading flash player. I am trying to directly download from the following link: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe as the abobe DLM freezes at a very small download completion rate (under 1%). The download begins but at a VERY slow tranfer rate of between 55 bytes/s and 400 bytes/s ...but never actually completes, even after hours.
There are no issues with my internet connection; I am able to download files from other sites at regular speed. I have tried disabling my firewall/AV while attempting the download, which had no effect.
This is a very strange issue as I have, in the past, been able to successfully download the active x control directly from the link provided (having tried and failed to install FP via adobe DLM) and there was no issue whatsoever - that time was my first clean install of Windows 7, this being my second.
Is there an issue with the adobe site server? I have spent ages looking for an alternate location from which to download flash player but have not found anything suitable and/or trustworthy.
Any assistance that anyone could offer would be very much appreciated,
    Navster

    Thanks for your response.
Just to clarify, I am using 32 bit IE8 under 64 bit Win7 Pro.
And just to re-stress the point; I am having trouble downloading flash player from the direct link to the activeX exe - I have not even got to the point where I can install it yet!
    Regards,

  • Error in downloading \ installing Flash Player

I have tried to install the new version five times this morning - all ending up in the same error. I reach the point where the installer says "Close Internet Explorer". When this is done it continues to give the same message and doesn't progress any further.

This isn't caused by having Java Scripting unchecked. At least for me it's not. I have Java Scripting enabled and still receive the error. I was told last time Adobe released a patch with scripting errors that the problem is with the site that's linked to the patch and that I would need to download from an alternate site. The toubleshooting page needs to actually SAY this, if that's the case, which it doesn't. It needs to place a BIG RED ARROW pointing to the alternate site. When I attempted to download from an alternate site to circumvent the scripting error message, I received the same error message as the original poster. I closed IE but am still not sure the patch installed as I never received the Finished pop-up.
Best idea, there just shouldn't be any scripting errors to begin with. Why am I still here haveing to post about this crap? Adobe if you're going to make Flash a requirement for home users then make it FRIENDLY for home users.

    What browser?

  • Multiple attempts at installing flash player have failed

I have attempted at least 7 times to download & install Flash Player.  I still get Alerts when I try to watch video on abc.com.  Why isn't flash player updating?
also, once I get to step 3 of 3, there's an ad to purchase something that I don't want.  there's no button to push that says "no thanks".  Should I just close out the page?

It sounds like you've completed the installation successfully, but it's not working in your browser for some other reason.
This is typically caused by third-party add-ons like ad-blocking or anti-tracking plugins, or third party anti-virus/anti-malware tools.  If none of that stuff sounds familiar, you might want to make sure you're running a current version of Firefox.
If that doesn't work, you can try refreshing Firefox:
Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings | Firefox Help
If you're still stuck, then something is corrupted.
I'd check to make sure that the filesystem is in good shape:
    http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2641432
Then I would uninstall and reinstall both Firefox and Flash:
    Uninstall Flash Player | Windows
    Internet Explorer:
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_ax.exe
    Firefox and other NPAPI browsers:

  • Unable to install flash player after uninstalling previous version

I am unable to download/install flash player and I had already uninstalled the previous version.  I had been playing farmville and my aol emails just fine and they both stopped working and I was told to try "updating" my flash player.  Well, I must have done something wrong because it uninstalled ok but now when I download it again, I get "did not pass the integrity check (1629.304.428)"  I also tried to reset IE 8 with no help.  This all worked until about 4 days ago and I don't remember updating anything within the last week so I am not sure what I did wrong.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.
My OS is Windows Vista 64 bit, web browser is IE8, 32 bit, and I don't have a flash player version according to the link that was provided to check, it keeps giving me the link for the general page with no version numbers.  Thanks!

Download the executable installer(s) from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
Make sure all browser windows are closed when you run the installer(s).

I want to upgrade from my current version of Flash v11.9.900.117 to the current v11.9.900.152. On clicking on the Flash player link in the Downloads section of the Adobe home page I am taken to what looks like the 'Flash Player' download page with an 'install Flash' button in the bottom right hand corner. However, when I click on this button I am directed back to the Adobe home page. Could this be something to do with my AV?.

Bypass the downloader/installer and download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by clicking one of the following links.

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

  • Having problem installing adobe flash player 11.0.1.152 says close mozilla how do you do this

I have tried several times to install Adobe flash player 11.0.1.152. It keeps stating to shut off Mozilla. How do you shut Mozilla off?

"Ctrl+Shift+Esc" placing you into the Windows Task Manager, you need to be in the in the "Processes" tab to make sure that firefox.exe is no longer running -- if it is running then terminate it by selecting the use "End Process" button or from context menu. (That is a Windows 7 keyboard shortcut not in earlier versions of Windows)
There is a better way of ending Firefox, but it is too late for you to close firefox properly. Full set of directions to check and update flash.

    After the download,

#close Firefox with File > Exit or "Firefox" button > Exit. Give Firefox some time to close and check that it finished via Windows 7 shortcut to WTM "Ctrl+Shift+Esc" in the "Processes" tab make sure that firefox.exe is no longer running -- if it is terminate it by selecting the use "End Process" button or from context menu.
    #proceed with the install
'''Warning''': this is the Adobe site and they have chosen to to provide crapware along with their own product. Only install the product you were planning to install. Do not install additional products: including -- "Free! McAfee Security Scan Plus" or "Google Chrome". Installing Google Chrome on your own and installing it because it is offered on the Adobe site are two different things.

Some people will have a problem with Hardware acceleration, right-click in the flash area, click in settings..., then see if change setting makes a difference.

That message is just a standard one issued, mainly for Windows users, you can disregard it if you didn't install any anti-virus. (OS X has one installed by Apple that doesn't interfere)
It's just some forms of anti-malware are really paranoid and lock the entire machine down. (like Norton)
