Downloading, Installing, Setting Up Lightroom 5

I just purchased the update version of Lightroom 5 for windows. I received an approved order number and a serial number. The download column states "not applicable". I tried to open the beta version I had installed, but it says it is expiered and returns me to an update list for previous versions of Lightroom. What do I need to do next?

what's up with "Downloading, Installing, Setting Up"? It is striking how often this problem confronts us again and again in recent times. How is it possible that Adobe does not notice that. I wish that they would take action and forward it to the places of developing.

ich darf Dir versichern, dass es mir wirklich nur darum geht systemimmanente Fehler auszumerzen.Worum geht es mir in diesem Falle konkret? Die Antwort liegt tatsächlich in der Auswertung meiner vorgeschlagenen Suche nach "hans cleaner tool". Hierzu musst Du allerdings die Funktion "Show 5 more" und danach "See all content results" benutzen.
Was dann im "content" gezeigt wird ist höchst aufschlußreich: Vom 26. Mai an bis zum 17. Mai 2014 haben 54 (in Worten vierundfünfzig) Leute gepostet, dass sie Probleme "creative cloud is not working!!!" oder ähnlichem hatten.
Den meisten konnte mit dem Hinweis auf das "Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) Cleaner Tool" helfen, wie Du aus den (meist Dank-) Anworten per Suche nach
"hans cleaner tool" sehen kannst. ;-) Hierzu habe ich Dir einen Auszug per Bildschirmkopie beigelegt.
Zum Schluß dieser meiner Erklärungsversuche noch ein paar Anmerkungen:
1. Vielleicht kannst Du jetzt nachvollziehen, welche Sorge mich umtreibt. Als überzeugter Anwender mit Schwerpunkt auf dem Dreamweaver tut es mir in der Seele weh, wenn Adobe nicht in der Lage zu sein scheint Programme zu liefern, die perfekt laufen und bei denen diese "Krücke" Cleaner Tool unnötig ist.
2. Ich kann zwar mit Deinen Beratungserfolgen nicht mithalten, dennoch spricht auch die Punktzahl, die ich erreicht habe eine deutliche Sprache.
3. Als Brücken- und Tunnelbauingenieur habe ich mein Geld sowohl mit Mathematik als auch mit der EDV verdient, ich denke also ich kann hier mitreden.
4. Ich bin es gewohnt - ganz besonders in Teamarbeit - durch "konstruktive Kritik" zu einer guten (Kompromiss-)Lösung zu kommen.

I am trying to download, install, and use Lightroom and Photoshop...

I just want the straight out garden variety programs, install on hard drive, run offline - on local PC only - pay the price for a perpetual license, never have to connect this computer to the internet again. But I keep being railroaded into buying packages, creative clouds, monthly billing, behance accounts and so on and so on...
Am I misunderstanding the products? I used these a few years ago, they were quite simple and straightforward back then.

You can buy Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 5 as perpetual licenses. Pay once, own forever (provided you've got the hardware and operating system to run them).

I cannot download CS5 onto my new IMac. This window comes up.

if you have a poor connection, see if you can get a local friedn someone to download for you and place on a usb stick they can lend you.

Problem downloading trial version of Lightroom 4

I am trying to download the trial version of Lightroom 4 for Windows (English), but nothing happens when I click on the "Download" button. This is very weird. I am a current user of PSE 10, and I would like to see if I should also get Lightroom 4, because I find that the Organizer in PSE is too slow, and hope that Lightroom would be much better from comments I read on the Internet.

Help for downloading/installing PSE13 with window 8.1?

I get this message after intall attempts ..."Installer has detected that a machine restart may be pending. Its recommended that you quit the installer, restart your machine and try installing again," Lightroom, however, installed fine.

Thank you for responding. I got some advice from a Microsoft forum....it worked. Thanks again.

Trying to download and install Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.1.

trying to download and install Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.1. and keep running into "Ligfhtroom_4_LS11_w_LS11_w...exe 730/730 MB, Interupted" after the 7-8 minute down load. ANy thoughts as to what I amor am not doing cauing this interruption?

Stay on the download website, do not navigate to a different website, and do not use the back button on your browser.
If nothing od the above applied inyour case - it might just be a lot of traffic on the download website. Try at a better time - with less web traffic - for instance in the morning.
Alternatively: If you see a <Continue> button after you get the "interrupted" message, click on it.

What seems to be working for many users (myself included) is to sign out of CC and then sign back in. After signing back in, LR will run.

Lr5 will install on your computer just fine and the installation will not be "mixed up" with Lr3.
Why do you think it's a mix of both?
In case you are wondering because you sometimes see a different Basic panel in Lr5 and sometimes not, this is dependant on the Process Version (PV) of the image.
With PV 2010 or 2003 Lr5 will display the same Basic panel (the same sliders) as Lr3; but when you update the photo to PV 2012 - or for newly imported photos - the Basic panel and the sliders will change to the new version.
There is a flash icon below the histogram for images that don't have PV 2012. Naturally you can see and change it also in the Camera Calibration panel / Process version.

I just downloaded Lightroom CC. How do I set it up to connect to the images in my Lightroom 5 catalogue?

Simply, install and launch Lightroom CC and it will automatically ask to "Upgrade" the catalog. Click on Upgrade and Voila!

I updated to Yosemite on my Mac. Firefox then began to freeze. I uninstalled Firefox and then downloaded/installed it again. How do I recover bookmarks, etc?

I updated to Yosemite on my iMac. Firefox then began to freeze. I uninstalled Firefox and then downloaded/installed it again. It's possible I uninstalled everything Mozilla related. I'm not sure. How do I recover bookmarks, passwords, etc? I don't believe I previously had a username & password for Mozilla. I do have my Mac backed up in Time machine and also a Carbon Copy Clone.
Also, I was able to migrate setting from Safari. Perhaps I don't want some of that stuff? Looking at the list of installed plugins, I have no clue if they're standard Apple/Mozilla stuff, or if they were selected by me/my family earlier in Safari? Are any of them a threat to my online security?
Any detailed instruction would be most appreciated. I'm not much of a tech guy.
