Downloading itunes and timing out.
I am trying to download the new version of Itunes and kept getting an error message that it is timeing out.
The message that I am getting is Internet Explorer cannot download iTunesSetup.exe from appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net
I deleted all the files in both my temp and local drives and I still cannot download it. I have also upgraded my Microsoft system per Quicktime and still not able to use it. Before I deleted everything my quicktime was not on my computer any longer and had to redownload it again which I am not able to do also.
Can anyone tell me what to try or what else I need to do? PLEASE HELP ME.
Thanks

I disabled my iPhone 4 and while doing a restore via iTunes, it is downloading and timing out so the download is not completing. any idea how to get past that? I have tried many times and the same error keeps happening.
You need to force the phone into recovery mode, as described here, & restore it:

Sorry, you've already lost all data on your phone. -
I am having trouble with my iPod 5th gen after iOS update. It's in recovery mode and iTunes keeps timing out when I try to restore it. What should I do??? If possible, I would also like to keep all of my data.
Maybe this will help:
Troubleshooting
As with all clickwheel iPods, you can reset this iPod by first toggling the hold switch on and off and then simultaneously pressing the select (center) and menu buttons for approximately 5-10 seconds. This is a common fix should your iPod behave unexpectedly or lock up. Once reset, the iPod should display an Apple logo for a few seconds before showing the main menu. This procedure is similar to rebooting a computer and damages none of your music or data. -

trid multiple times over the last few weeks, after waiting 45 minutes for the download to comlete the network times out whilst processing the downloadThe router is in your house.
In a nutshell, a modem communicates with the Internet and brings a single communications link to your house, The router takes that single link and divides it up among many links, both wired and wireless, to support many devices in your house. The router and the modem may be separate physical boxes or, more commonly, they're in the same enclosure.
Unfortunately, if there is a firewall in the router, you will need help. I don't think that it's a good idea to try to walk you through it via the forum. You should contact the router supplier and have them walk you through the investigation. -

I have recently downloaded itunes and I can't connect to Ping or Itunes store. I downloaded Itunes a few days ago and both were working but they suddenly stopped working. I downloaded itunes again but it hasn't made any difference. I ran diagnostics and it said "secure link to iTunes store failed" and I can't click on help because it says "Itunes help is unavailable because your computer isn't connected to the internet". ITunes connection timed out problem. Please help
Hey guys, I've purchased an iPod Touch 4th Gen recently but a problem I've had after installing iTunes is connecting to the internet. I haven't even got the software on the iPod Touch due to an error - "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The network connection timed out. Make sure your internet settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again"
Here's a similar error message which comes up -
http://turbo.inquisitr.com/wp-content/2009/11/itunes-connection-timed-out.jpg
The frusterating thig is that know one has a clue about the problem or the solution. I've tried everything you name it, from disabling the firewall, disabling the anti-virus, disabling any other programs which may affect iTunes. I've tinkered with the different internet setting, looked out programs allowed in the firewall and iTunes is definitely allowed. And my internet connection is perfect and very very fast. I don't use wireless but an Ethernet cable. There are absolutely NO problems with my internet connection WHATSOEVER.
So I was thinking whether the time I decided to install is the problem? Maybe it was peak time (I tried it at 17:00pm UK Time) and now its 22:25pm UK time. Maybe it's a time where many users are online? But if that was the case surely I would have been successful atleast once?
Please help, I'm getting really really desperate. Thanks you ever so muchYou need to place the iPod in recovery mode and then connect it to your new computer and restore it via iTunes. Note that you will lose all content on the iPod. You can redownload apps at no additional cost provided you are signed into the same iTunes account that originally purchased the apps.

I've downloaded itunes and can't open it - runtime error
I've recently downloaded iTunes, and it downloads, but when I try to open it on my desktop it gives me the error message
Runtime error!
R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly
If anyone could please help me out on this it would be greatly appreciated! Semper FiClick here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Bell's next step was for me to connect to iTunes. I downloaded iTunes and can't figure out how to proceed from there. The basic info in the Apple site for "unlocking" only addresses a SIM card that doesn't work. My SIM card is correct. How do I go on from here? Thanks,
Bell should have given you instructions, but in case they did not here is what you do:
Put a Bell SIM in the phone. It does not have to be a currently active SIM, but it must have worked on Bell at some time in the past.
Connect the phone to your computer with the USB cable.
It should appear in iTunes. Click on its name.
Click the Backup button.
Click the Restore iPhone button. When prompted to restore the backup choose that option.
The phone will reload iOS. If your current iOS version is not 7.0.4 it will update to this first. If that happens when the update finishes click Restore iPhone again.
If the process succeeds you should see the message: "Congratulations. Your iPhone is unlocked". If you don't get this message wait a couple of days and repeat the whole process again.
Note: to unlock the phone you do not have to Restore as New. Restoring and reloading the backup will work also. -

This sounds like your problem:

I have iTunes on my iPad. I have a new iPod nano. How do I connect iPod to iPad to download iTunes and music library?
Hi Divine Inspiration,
You wouldn't connect the iPod to the iPad for data transfers. Music is stored and shared either through a computer or iCloud.
This article gives an overview of moving music and data off the iPad.

After downloading and installing OS 10.10.3 iTunes will not open. Spotlight does not find it. I have repaired permissions, re-downloaded iTunes, and re-installed it. The problem remains. ITunes appears in the directory of Applications, the update shown in the info in Finder. Double clicking does not open it.

I can't seem to get my Itunes Library to come up on my Mac. When I bought a new PC last year I just downloaded Itunes and all of my previous library came in but that isn't happening with my Mac Pro. Is there an easy way to do that?
Have you copied your content from your other computer?

After getting a new desktop I downloaded iTunes and authorized my new computer and then de-authorized my old one, When I try to update my 5S it says my phone is not authorized and list my wifes email address as the account holder and not mine. How do I correct this. I am using Windows 8.1 . My wife has never had an iTuunes account
Hello Lakesidetom,
It sounds as though you are experiencing an issue with an Apple ID and authorizations. Based on your post, it sounds like you are familiar with the authorizing and deauthorizing process. The Apple ID in question (your wife's email) may be originating from the iPhone you are attempting to update. Is it possible that your wife created an Apple ID or iCloud account which is signed in on that iPhone? Below, I have included links to some resources that may help you determine if your wife has created an Apple ID:

ive got a laptop from a friend, she cleared everything off it. ive downloaded itunes and for some reason all her music has appeared in the library. How do i delete her music from the itunes libary so i can add my own music?
In iTunes, select the music you want to delete (⌘+a to select all) and hit Delete on your keyboard.
Also delete the music files in Finder. Also make sure you have your own Apple ID and iTunes account and logged in.
