Downloading Itunes error

My iPhone 4s with iOS 6 just broke, so I backed it up to computer one. Iphone 4 with iOS 7 was restored to original settings on computer two and then my sim card was put into this phone. When I tried to plug it into computer one and put all my info back on the phone, iTunes required version 11.1 or higher, but gives me an error everytime I try to download.
Error message says : "erorrs occured during installation before itunes could be configured. your system has not been modified. to complete the installation run the installer again"
what am I doing wrong? Please help.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

This post (credit: user Gungho) explains that:
there are three things associated with this kind of error is a permissions issue, illegal characters, or a non-existent share point. To address the first possibility Get Info about the alias and check the permissions. You should have read and write access. For the 2nd remove any illegal characters in the name such as characters;: ", | * [] / \ = + <>. The . can only be used to separate the file name from the file type.
Could any of those things be happening? This link also has some good suggestions.
Here are some other things to try:
    Try to restart
    Perform a file system check
While starting, hold "Command + S"; once there type "fsck -fy"; once complete type "sudo shutdown -h now"

  • Can't download iTunes, error message "Key not valild for use in specified state"

I can't download iTunes, keep getting error message "Key not valid for use in specified state"  I uninstalled and tried reinstalling but same issue.

For "Key not valid for use in specified state" errors try moving the folder RSA from C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA to say C:\<User>\RSA (just in case there should be a need to restore it) then try installing again. This folder appears to act as a cache and should be rebuilt automatically as required.

The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if a component such as Apple Application Support won't install normally.

  • Cannot download itunes, error message says I am missing media accessibility.dll  Can you help me?

I cannot download itunes on my PC.  Error message says i am missing Media Accessibility.dll  Can anyone help?

Hi, you may have resolved this issue already, but if not...
There should be one copy of MediaAccessibility.dll in the folder:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support (32-bit systems) or
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support (64-bit systems)
If you can locate the file, right-click on it and select Properties, then on theDetails tab it should have File Version - 48.1.0.11. If it has a different version number then it is out of date and is likely to be cause of the problem.
Please search your Programs Files and/or Programs Files (x86) folders for all copies of the file MediaAccessibility.dll - Any other copies of the file in different locations are likely to be out of date, but might be called in error by an executable file in the same folder, thereby causing the error.
Should you find more than one copy of MediaAccessibility.dll could you please let me know in which other locations it was found. This will let us more effectively help others with the same issue by suggesting where they should look. If you have the correct version, in the correct place, then deleting any others should fix your problem. This is similar to the QTMovieWin.dll issue dealt with in the first box of the user tip Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
If you don't have the correct version of the file then completely removing all components, deleting the named folders, and reinstalling as suggested in the second box of the user tip should work. You could try repairing Apple Application Support alone from the the Programs and Features or Add/Remove Programs control panel first as that would be quicker, but only if it works.

I also noticed I guess by default that you cannot charge your iPad while connected to your computer, that is ridiculous why not? Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Trouble downloading itunes, error mssg keeps appearing.

    Hiya,
Just brought a brand spanking new Ipod Video 30gb. As there is no installation cd I had to go online and download itunes. However, everytime I try to download i keep getting a message as follows -
    "Could not open key:
HKEYLOCALMACHINES\Software\Classes\QuicktimePlayerLib.QuictimePlayerApp\CLSID. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
My PC recognises the Ipod, its just I am having difficulty downloading the relevant software from the Apple website. I think it had to do with QuickTime Player so I went about deleting all Quicktime player, itunes and ipod software that was already installed (as my brother had a nano already installed on the pc and i thought that may have been causing the download problem).
    Could some plz help!!!!!1

If you're having problems with the App Store you might try this:
1 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:
    open the Terminal application.
copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
    followed by Enter.
    launch App Store, login.
2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:
    3 - try again.

I have done a purchase of a song but it never finished its download. And now I got an email from Apple with a bill as I had purchased it. I was wondering how can I contact them to cancel this order?

Look under the Store menu in iTunes for the "Check for purchases" command and run that. You may get the track to complete downloading that way.
If not, follow the instructions on this web page for contacting the iTunes Music Store.
