Downloading iTunes / Windows 7
I just downloaded iTunes to my PC that runs Windows 7 and get the message - iTunes stopped working, even after uninstalling and re-installing the program? Please help!
Try updating your QuickTime Player to the most recent version. Does that clear up the launch errors with iTunes?

Trying to download itunes, windows installer package error
im trying to download itunes but when i do it says
"there is a problem with this windows installer package. a program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. contact your support personnel or package vendor."
is this an itunes problem or a windows problem? someone please help!I had the same problem trying to install version 8.0.1, I went to my control panel then to add/remove programs and I removed the windows installer from my computer. It does give a warning that certain programs may not work but it did not effect my computer. I tried the install of iTunes again and it worked. My computer used the iTunes installer since the windows installer no longer existed. After iTunes update was completed I then reinstalled the windows installer program.

Can't download itunes windows 7
I have Windows 7 and just got a new iphone 5s. I can't download itunes to my computer. I push the DOWNLOAD button and it just goes to a screen thanking me for downloading. I never downloads and I don't even get a pop up box saying if I want to Run or Save to my computer. I've done all the updates available, and there is no Service Pack 2 available for Windows 7 operating system. I've turned off firewall protection and other antivirus software. I need help.

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -

Downloading itune windows 8.1
why am i having trouble downloading itunes on my Lenovo lap top and before i downloaded it but it wouldnt open
Hello there, G-Oker.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great recommendations for the very error message you are receiving:
Resolve specific iTunes update and restore errors
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694
Particularly:
Check USB connections
Related errors: 13, 14, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 1643-1650, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response,” and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you checked your connections and are still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,

Unable to download itunes - windows installer package
I've been trying to update iTunes, half way through it says" There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run." I've tried uninstalling then re-installing - now it won't let me do anything. Not sure what to do, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program required for the program to complete could not be found. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
Let's try the following user tip with that one:

cant download itunes 10 using windows vista erroe about installation of assembly
These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.) -
I am trying to download iTunes on my new desktop computer (Windows 7, 64 bit). It starts installing, and then stops with the message- "The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation." This is a stand alone computer and I am the sole user. Please help.
This is a Microsoft Windows Issue.
From a MS Support Engineer:
"Hi,
· Is the computer on a domain?
· Is the issue isolated to only this software or you get the same error message with other software’s as well?
Try the steps below and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Run the software setup file as an administrator and check if it helps.
a. Right click on the setup file of the software that you are trying to install.
b. Select “Run as administrator”.
Step 2:
Temporarily disable the antivirus software running on the computer and check if you are able to install the software.
Disable antivirus software
Warning:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Step 3:
a. Click Start, type "Local Security Policy" (without quotes) and press enter.
b. Click on Software Restriction Policies.
c. In the right pane, double click on the "enforcement".
d. Select “All users except local administrators”.
e. Click Ok and restart the computer and check if the issue is fixed." -
I just downloaded Itunes 11.1.4 (64-bit) update and am running Windows 7. Itunes will not run after installing this update and I receive an error message R6034 on Loading Microsoft C Runtime Library incorrectly. Also Error message 1114 the Itunes Installer was installed incorrectly. Is there an new update for this problem? Is anyone else having this problem? Please help. Thanks.
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Still unable to download itunes to my pc. Tried with IE, Mozilla and Google Chrome. Keep getting an error message :"Windows cannot open itunes.exe the file is corrupt contact support."previous itunes files were wipped out by "disk cleaner." Any help??
Please!
Thanks! If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem. -
My iTunes won't update on my computer. I have windows vista. I can open up itunes and when I click on "check for updates" it asks if I want to download iTunes version 11.1.5 and I click "Download iTunes" but then nothing happens. Sometimes uptop the loading bar will appear but for only a split second. I have tried restarting, shutting down, I cannot figure out why it won't download. What's happening and how do I fix it?
Try updating using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:
