Downloading itunes7 and ipod (1.4.1) problems
i cannot download itunes7 or ipod software (1.4.1). after running the setup files it tells me i cannot do it because the software is from an unknown publisher. i then install the certificate manually and click ok. it then tells me thank you for downloading the software but it never actually upgrades.

I sync all songs, photos and videos between my computer and iPod classic with no problems, but when I get to sync info I get this message: "iTunes cannot sync Calendar and contacts to iPod. Try logging out of Windows adn then logging back in". Could you please help?
Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

When firefox checking for updates and updates found but due to proxy restrictions it unable to download the updates then it continue trying to download that and this time it creating problem on executing javascript and raising errors.

did ae install without problem? check the install logs to be sure (Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC)

If I was in your shoes, I would choose to restore the iPhone with iTunes and then choose to NOT restore a previous backup. I'd then go on to set up the phone as though it were totally new, and choose the stuff to load onto it.
The reason I'd go through that trouble.. even though it meant losing a lot of settings and having to set stuff up again .. is because I wasn't sure I could trust the backup that it's restoring from.
If you have trouble again after doing the fresh reload -- especially if it's soon after you do it -- you may have a hardware issue with the phone, such as faulty flash memory or a processor chip that's failing. If that's the case, you'll want to consider your repair/replacement options at that point. -
OverDrive Media Audiobook Downloads issues and Ipod Nano

Yesterday I downloaded the OverDrive Media Console for Mac and downloaded a book to my Nano from my library system. The file is due to expire in 7 days. The problem I have is that I didn't realize that I would have to drag the files from the Console to Itunes in order for the audiobook to be recognized first before I had the console transfer the book files to the ipod. I don't have any idea how to get the files off now. I have gone under the device menu and deleted all the files off except for my recorded videos
Itunes now reads that "706.1 MB," (Photos-Yellow) "127.3 MB" (Other-Orange) and 14.07 GB (Free Space-White) out of a 14.89 Capacity.
The Ipod Nano reads that are 14.1 GB of free space.
Has anyone else experienced this and what do I do?

The Other space on your iPod consists on your iPod's O/S, any games you sync to it, notes or files you store on it externally (which is sounds like you do not), album artwork, and possibly corrupt files. So basically what I am trying to say is that there will also be a small amount of space taken up by Other no matter what and it is usually in Megabytes (MB) as your iPod states. You can definitely try to restore it though if you wish.

No. Restoring your iPod will wipe all content from the iPod and set it back to its original default settings. And once your iPod's software has reloaded, your preloaded games will come with it, so no worries.

:I went to Mozilla's website and downloaded the Firefox Optimized for Yahoo, following the directions. The download installed easily, but when it opened my Yahoo web page (I already had an account with them), the Java Script error message "Uninstall set!" immediately began alerts, and kept repeating the alert about every 15 seconds. I got the same result even after uninstalling Firefox and downloading a fresh installation. I am only getting this alert via Firefox; I do not get it when using my Yahoo page with Google. Thanks.

Whatever you read about iTunes is wrong unless you're actually referring to feature movies, not videos. Videos, apps, music and iBooks you can re-download:

Download to your computer and then sync to your iPod touch whatever will fit.
And no, I can't say with certainty that they won't give you a refund, but it's unlikely. The most probable outcome, if you do indeed mean movies, not TV shows or other videos, is that they would set up an additional download. For other content they'll probably just direct you to the same instructions on re-downloading I just posted. -

I have done several "attempted downloads, and see the full file download, typically taking 30 minutes to complete, and then something goes wrong.
I am happy to suspend AV and FW software, but would like to know if it is a good fix or not first?

I downloaded my sons ipod 5g with the latest iOS and now when we try to sync it says we have no space, but there is nothing but a few apps on his ipod and he has plenty of space. The messege says that most of is space is taken up by video but there is no video or music on his ipod right now. I've tried to reset his ipod but that did not help the problem. What can I do?
