Downloading Lightroom Version 5.6 using DSL

When I try to download Lightroom Version 5.6 using DSL I am informed the download will take 4 hours.
The download size shown is 930 MB.  The size of Version 5.5 installed is 1.03 GB.
Question:  From the two sizes is Version 5.5 removed and Version 5.6 installed?
                 If this true then, which I believe is unreasonable, the download should be
                 an update rather than upgrade.  The probability of losing an internet connection
                 in a 4 hour window can be high at times  Is there any way around the 4 hour limit
                 other than installing a faster internet connection?

Smart Bob the Lightroom upgrades contain the full installation.  You can download version 5.6 directly and install.

    Does your Cloud subscription properly show on your account page?
    If you have more than one email, are you sure you are using the correct Adobe ID?

    Click the arrow in the Identity Plate and be sure that you are signed in.  If you are try going to Help and register.

    does anybody know, if there is a possibility of updating used brm rules used in a bpm process? There seems to be a way, when you create a separate brm project:
    Importing an Updated Project into the Rules Composer - Working with the Rules Manager - SAP Library
    How does this work for rules coming from bpm?
    Do i really have to manually export and import things e. g. over excel for this?

    Do you mean, that using the "Download runtime version" feature on the brm project helps us to keep the rule up-to-date within NWDS?

    I am having problem downolading a trial version of Lightroom 4 from the Adobe site. It appears that I can download trial versions of any other digital photography-related product but not of Lightroom 4. About 2 weeks ago I downloaded the trial version of Adobe Elements and I have been getting familiar with it. I have to make a decision on the best product for my needs.
    I went to Vistek shop in Ottawa yesterday and one of the specialist told me that maybe Lightroom would better meet my needs. Prior to purchasing, I am trying to test both product to understand the fundamental differences. For some reason, when I go to the download site ( https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_lightroom) and click on the download button, nothing happens. Given that I am a System's Engineer by trade, I thought that perhaps I cannot install 2 trial copies of adobe products on a single workstation so I tried downloading Lightroom 4 from 3 different PC/laptops but got the same results...
    Can anybody help. This is a bit frustrating given that the Adobe element trial is coming to an end (about 2 weeks) and I want to proceed with purchasing the RIGHT PRODUCT...

    The link, just above, is the latest update to LR 4.2 which may work fine.
    About the original trial download page you had issues with, it does take a few seconds for the download button to become active, and once you click it, it takes a few more seconds for either a login pop to come up or the download, itself, to start, so maybe you have a popup blocker enabled or some security that doesn’t allow the download to occur.  You might try a different browser.  The following link is what the download attempts to use, but you need to have signed in to your Adobe account before trying to use it, I think:

    When you click Download, the download should start automatically. It could be that a pop-up/download blocker/anti-virus is preventing the download.     In theory, Lightroom 5 will recognize your existing LR 2.7 catalog and upgrade it to LR 5 for you to use. All you have to do is click OK or Yes or whatever when it asks you if you want to upgrade your catalog.
    If it doesn't find your LR 2.7 catalog, then in LR 5 use File->Open and point it to your LR 2.7 catalog

    There are two different LR’s, one with a serial-number licensing and one with a CC-signin license.
    You should uninstall the serial-number LR you have installed, then
    Quit the CC Desktop application,
    Restart the CC Desktop application—this will rescan what you have installed and not see LR,
    LR will now be on the CC Desktiop apps list, so install that.

    I did not leave anything out from the error message.  It doesn't point to a specific file, it just ends with "(x86)..."  Every time I boot up my computer, this error message pops up on my desktop.
    How do I repair this issue?  I have found multiple suggested solutions but am unsure which one is the best, and I don't want to try a bunch of different things for fear I may make the problem worse.  I would like to try and fix this myself if possible but I need to know if that is really possible or if I need to take my computer to someone for repairs.  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!
