Downloading movie rental without being charged twice

I'm new to iphone. I tried to rent a movie on my iphone and it began downloading then a message came up saying file too big - download to your computer and transfer to you iphone. How do I download it to my computer without being charged the rental again? My account has already been debited when I tried to download to the iphone. Thanks.

    If you can get your rental to download by going to Store > Check for Available Downloads, then report the issue to the iTunes Store.

    Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
    You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
    You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app on your iOS device.
    If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

    Check your debit or credit card account to see if the transaction went through, or if you purchased from the balance of a redeemed gift card, see if the amount of purchase was deducted.

    Assuming you are in a location that supports re-downloading of TV shows, you can download any purchased TV shows from the purchased option in the quick links section in the top right-hand corner of iTunes on your computer.

    You only get one download of movies.  It is your responsibility to backup your purchases.
    If it never downloaded at all, then click Store>Check for Available Downloads

    I rented a movie teh other night and started the download.  It was taking a while so I went to bed.  In the morning there was an error message and the movie did not download.  I did nothing as I figured I would just try agian another day.  A few days later I received my receipt by email.  I had been charged even though I never got access to the movie.  I tried to access the download again, but can not figure out gow to download the movie agian without being chraged.  PLease help.

    You could try the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option. If that doesn't start it downloading then you will need to contact iTunes support (rentals are a one-time only download, so they will need to add it back into your queue).
    Try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that film, click the arrow to the left of it and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
    Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

    You may not be able to get a refund, since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:

    It's possible they'll make an exception for you, particularly if the problem was on their end preventing the movie from downloading in a reasonable time.

    No, films are currently a one-time only download. Have you not got a backup of them on, for example, an external drive that you can copy back onto your computer ? And have you checked that the films have actually been deleted from your computer, it's not just that the pointer to them in iTunes has been removed ?

    No unfortunately that is not possible. If you bought the app on disk you would have to buy it again to get it from the app store.

    Select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History on your computer.
    Currently, if your purchase happens to be your most recent purchase you will not be redirected to the report form, in this case use the report a problem option from the invoice that was emailed to you.
