Downloading music stalls, holds up queue

I'm in the middle of downloading about 20 songs. iTunes is constantly stalling at the same place on song the second song. Everytime I stop, and re-start again to finish downloading the rest of my queue, it goes right back to that second song, where it stalls at the same place again! How do I delete this song from the queue (which I've already paid for) so I can get the rest of my songs?

I'm having the same problem. Just updated my Windows and Mac to the latest iTunes. Never had this problem before. Both machines are having the same problem.

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... (But can take Longer..)
Release the Buttons...

Downloading music from your ipod to your itunes library

does anyone know if you can download music you have on your ipod to your itunes library

Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
However it appears that no playlists or any other info such as ratings/last played etc will transfer.
If this is important to you, you may want to use other options.
There's Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod to iTunes.

Thanks for replying. I received the phone in October; just had it replaced a couple of weeks ago because it wasn't holding a charge. Both phones do the same. No protective case or cover. Ring tones are nice and loud, phone "voice" is fine, I can hear my callers with no problem. It's just the downloaded music that is so soft I can barely hear it. I even tried moving a ring tone that was proven over to music folder to see what would happen. It was soft there as well. I've looked online for ideas but haven't found any help.

If this is music purchased from the iTunes store, try going to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap your Apple ID, sign out, then sign back in. If it still won't play, try force-closing the Music app: from the home screen, double-tap the home button, locate Music in the list at the bottom, tap and hold it until it wiggles, tap to close it. Then try playing your music again.

Try this:
Make Sure iOS is updated to the latest version
Reboot the device by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings

- All agent state is always ready.
- When customer call and wait for agent to answear, they will hear music ( now they hear no thing )

Extract a Music on Hold File

I have taken over a position in a company that has a Cisco Call Manager.
I know basic administration, but am not familiar with the rest of the system.
We have Call Manager 6.0.1.2000-3
The company has a need to change the Music on Hold and the Marketing Dept. has asked for an electronic copy of the file so they can work with an outside company to produce a new recording.
Via a web browser in Cisco Unified CM Administratior I went to "Media Resources" > "Music On Hold Audio Source"
I see information listing it as stream Number 2, but It I have no idea how to say extract it as a wav file.
Is there a place I can go and see the file to copy to my local PC.

Sounds like you may have deleted something you shouldn't have. Boot to an OS X DVD or a bootable backup, and using Disk Utility, do a repair disk, and while there repair permissions. Disconnect any peripherals, and reboot. If you get the same startup behavior, do a safe boot, by holding the shift key down when booting. If that works, try a normal boot. If neither step helps, you may need to relaod your operating system.

Downloaded Music as ring tones

I have downloaded music from the store straight to my mobile but cant seem to use it as a ringtone or alarm any ideas why or how i can use it?

The answer is simple - when you buy downloadable music, there are strict regulations (usually determined by the copyright holder rather than the retailer), it is commong that there are limited transfers between devices, limited CD burns and very often play is limited to music players and not other functions such as tones and alerts.
There is no fault with the phone in this case, it is simply obeying copyright restrictions on the file.

I was downloading music to my iTunes account and playing music from my I tunes library when all of the sudden it stopped playing and the control panel won't let me restart the music.....why

- You need to restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod and start anew. Is the restore button visable in iTunes? If it is they restore the iPod.
- If it is not visible try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
