Downloading my audiobook again

hi, for some reason i delete or lost one of my audiobooks, is there any way to download it again without paying for it?

Use the form on this page to request a free redownload, or use the Transfer Purchases feature if applicable. If neither of these works, you will need to purchase the songs and other content again to get them back; Apple needs to pay the copyright holders for each download from the iTunes Store other than podcasts, album artwork, and free iPod touch/iPhone applications.

  • I fully downloaded an audiobook on my iPad and it started working fine but then it stopped reading my book. How can I get it to work again?

I downloaded an audiobook and it started working but then it stopped. Is there anyway I can redownload my audiobook so that it starts working completely?

This is a ridiculous policy and it interferes with how most people would listen to an audio book since they are quite lengthy. I'm traveling, so I throw the audio book on using my iPad and I get 60% of the way through the book on my trip. I come home, I want to listen to the rest of it via iTunes on my stereo through AirPlay. And this can't be done?
This is the last audiobook I buy from iTunes until they *fix* this... and it IS something that requires fixing whether that means negotiating more aggressively with the audiobook providers or changing something at the software layer. It completely ruins many peoples' experience!
It's funny because a friend of mine suggested buying it, then downloading it from a torrent just so I could use the book the way I wanted to use the book. Is it not sad that to create a positive overall user experience you have to resort to downloading something off a torrent?
iTunes is supposed to make things easy and accessible. I agree with jamusick's posting -- this isn't the vision Steven Jobs had for the future. This is a road block on the way there.

  • HT1349 When I try to download an audiobook from my library I get a message saying it has not been copied because it cannot be played on this ipod?  Any ideas why this might be I've just downloaded another audiobook from the same library?

When I try to download an audiobook from my iTunes Library I get the message that 'it was not copied because it cannot be played on this iPod.  I had just downloaded another audio book from the same library to the same iPad so don't know what the problem is?  maxabw

Is it something about "I Shot the Sheriff" that my iPod has a moral disagreement with? It had no issue importing and installing Body Count's "Kop Killa"...
    Not really likely, is it?
First of all, look on the iPod to see if the song is actually on there. (The last Sync of my Classic resulted in "song not copied... because it cannot be found." The song had previously been on the iPod. I checked and despite the fact that iTunes could not find the file, the song was still on my iPod. I checked the folder and the song was exactly where t was supposed to be. So I simply set iTunes to find it again. What happened? I don't know, iTunes simply threw a wobbly!)
Second, try another Sync. Does this change anything? If the song was on the iPod, does a second Sync remove the message?  If the song was not on the iPod after the first Sync, does the second one put it on there?
    What happens?

  • I DOWNLOADED AN AUDIOBOOK AND I CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE

Just yesterday I downloaded and audiobook onto my new ipad and I can't find it anywhere. It's not in purchases, downloads, history, store, no where. I even tried to buy the book again and it stated that I had already bought it. Ok that's cool, but where is it?

It should be in the music app under audiobooks

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
Audiobooks (and ringtones) are currently a one-time only download. I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them who are requiring the one-time only download restriction. To get it onto your other devices you will need to sync it via a computer. Depending upon what country that you are in, Audible.com have their own app (Audiobooks from Audible) so you might be able to buy direct from them, though I don't know whether you can buy within their app or download audiobooks directly from them within the app e.g. whether they need to be copied via a computer.

  • Is there a charge for re-downloading and audiobook

Is there a charge for re-downloading and audiobook on iTunes? My second computer is an authorized iTunes Match, but it doesn't load all my audiobook. If I  download an audiobook that I already purchased via iTunes, Am I going to be charged again?
    Thanks

Yes you will be charged again.
Audiobooks are not mentioned as being part of icloud.

  • HT1725 how do i download my files again? I had one to not download properly.

I need to download a song again? Is this possible? Also, can I get a hard copy of the CD?

Downloading (using iOS or computer) past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not all media formats are available in all countries (see: iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match Availability by Country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085); apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this).  Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later.  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
Select the store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can re-download your available previous purchases.
If you want a CD you will have to burn one. Apple doesn't sell them.

  • Downloading purchased audiobooks on my new computer!

Recently I had to unexpectedly replace my computer just days after purchasing and downloading an audiobook from iTunes. I've been in the process of setting up my new PC today. I was able to recover my purchased iTunes files by authorizing my computer with my Apple Id and clicking purchases in the bottom menu. However, my audiobook was not amongst the purchased files I could download, even when a CD I purchased in the same transaction was! Is there a way I can recover it without having to pay for it again?

Icloud is the service that allows you to redownload past purchases.
Music is included in icloud - meaning that you can redownload it.
Audiobooks are not - meaning that you cannot. You only get one download.
You can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception.

  • I've downloaded an audiobook from my local public library and have already listened to it.  It still shows up on my IPod, but when I sync with iTunes, I can't find it our delete it.  Please advise?

Sometimes simply restarting your iTunes, the computer and the iPad is all that it takes to correct an issue like this so try that. Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, and restart the iPad. Then try the sync again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • How do I download my subscriptions again after my computer was wuped out?

How do I download my subscriptions again after my computer was wuped out?

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; only apps, books (not audiobooks), music, and t.v. shows (not movies).
If you're not in a place with iCloud yet, either wait until it is available (maybe), or use your backup drive (which you should always have and iTunes Store notes you should maintain since a second download, until recently, was not available anywhere and still isn't for some media).

  • HT1725 Unable to download purchased audiobook. The book says it was downloaded. Can't get to spot from iTunes to insert password. Please help!

    Please help?

    Your question/statement makes no sense.
"Unable to download purchased audiobook. The book says it was downloaded" What book is saying this? Is the audiobook talking to you?
"Can't get to spot from iTunes to insert password" This makes no sense to me either.
If you are trying to download a previously purchased audiobook, you can't do that. You get one download of an Audiobook and then you must purchase it again if you delete it or do not have it in your iTunes library to sync back to the iPd.
If you can't find the audiobook, look in the More Tab of the Music App.

  • Can you download library audiobooks

Is there a way to download library audiobooks into IPod nano?

Well, I did some research and can answer my own question. My library uses Overdrive Media Console. Borrow your book from the library and download to your computer. What tripped me up here was the format   Audiobooks on my iPhone are MP3, but I kept getting an error message fir incompatibility when trying to transfer to nano. Use the WMA format. Once the audiobook downloads to your computer you will see a window with the book and transfer arrows on the tool bar. When you click on the arrows you will get another error msg saying transfer format is not compatible. Go to ITunes, Edit, Preferences,  change to "spoken word" .  Go back to Overdrive and with iPod connected, hit transfer arrows again and you should be able to transfer successfully. Also, after the transfer go back to ITunes and change back to original settings
