Downloading new music

I was downloading new music and my downloads were going fine but now there are 12 left and 3 just say processing and won't move any further. I was going to connect to my computer but my computer is being fixed at the moment.
Any tips or tricks on how to get my downloads to continue?

Had the same problem.  I just rebooted my iPhone.  I also canceled the remaining downloads and download them again one by one.
Don't worry if you can't download them though.  You've bought them and you can download them again via iCloud.
I was so angry that the songs weren't being downloaded that I instead download additional songs thru my iPod Touch 2nd generations.  After that, I checked itunes in my Iphone and saw those purchases and the others that couldn't be downloaded.  I downloaded them again there.  Also, the downloaded songs can be reach via itunes on your computer.  Trying borrowing someone else computer.
If they have a computer and it's own iTunes, create a new iTunes that's seperate from theirs via holding on the SHIFT button and click on iTunes.  It will ask if you want to create a new one.  Do it, but make sure it's located on the desktop so you can delete any of your iTunes information and stuff when you're done.  Also, remember to deactivate the connection from your itunes account to that computer.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
You can also try deleting all music by:

You can sync music and videos from multiple computer/iTunes library if you sync manually. Manually syncing is included here:

  • Downloading new music to IPOD

Okay....someone please tell me why I keep losing my prior music downloads when ever I download new music? For saving space on my computer I always remove the music I download to Itunes is this why? Is it possible to save what I have downloaded on my IPod when I download new music?

When the iPod is set to sync automatically, music that isn't in iTunes will be deleted from it when it is plugged in. You can turn this off by setting the iPod to sync manually.

  • I dont know the answer to my security questions so i cannot download new music

I don't know the answer to my security questions so I cannot download new music. How do I reset these questions without resetting my account?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • I cant download new music to my ipod.  I am now using a new computer with Windows 8.

I cant download new music to my ipod.  I am now using a new computer with Windows 8.  Itunes is now on the new computer.  New songs apear there and will play on the computer.

I plugged my ipod into the computer, it "interacted" briefly, but when finished, the new songs were not on the ipod.  (It is an older ipod I have had for years).  I just read on a different post how to access the latest itunes program update.  I did that, then plugged the ipod into the computer again.  The ipod is now real busy interacting with the computer a lot longer.  Maybe that fixed it.  I will let you know after it is finished.  Thanks for the help!

  • I recently bought a new computer, and downloaded new music.. I want to sync my new music into my  ipod but it wont le me.. if i sync it will erase all my music and if i press okay it says it cant because my ipod is connected to another itunes..

i recently bought a new computer and installed itunes and downloaded music already... I want to sync my new music into my ipod but it wont let me it says my ipod is linked to another itunes library, so If i want to go ahead with the process it says it will erase all my movies, photos, apps ect.. I press okay then it says about another itunes library If i want to sync my ipod i have to "erase and sync" if i go ahead with this will it erase all my photos?? All im worried about are my pictures.... if i do this will it erase my pictures... so far i havent been able to put the recently added music to my ipod... i tried it my husbands iphone and synced it since he has no music or videos... and it had the autofill option so i did this... and it worked.. why will it not work on my ipod..

You can only sync everything with your one syncing computer/iTunes library. Yu can:
    - Make this your syncing computer by:
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities
    - Use the manual method to copy music and videos from any computer/iTunes library to the iPod. See the manual method included here:

  • Downloading new music & video

HELP!!! I got my new ipod classic Saturday, but I had downloaded 3000 songs and videos when I noticed that the videos had not downloaded. When I reconnected to add my videos, it deleted all the music. Is there a way that I can keep all my music without having it deleted everytime I reconnect? I want to keep all my music and just keep adding to it. Hence, the 80 GBs I was so upset and I still was not able to download my music videos. Can anyone help me?

  • Will not download new music onto iphone or libary!

I just got  a new computer(hp). I downloaded Itunes and switched over my music. Now I tried adding new music into Itunes and it will not let me. Also will not let me add new music to my iphone? PLease help thank you!

Perhaps the settings have changed, it has been known to happen ("by itself") when iTunes is updated!
Connect your iPod to iTunes and check the Device/Music pane. Typically, the *Sync Music* box should have a tick in it and the *Entire Music Library* radio button should be selected (it will have a "spot" inside). In addition, the songs in your library need to have a tick in their box too.
If any other option is selected, then that's probably why the new songs have not been imported to your iPod. If you change any of these settings now, you need to Sync again after the changes for them to take eefect.

  • My ipod touch has stopped downloading new music (purchased via internet or from a CD) from iTunes when I sync it, how do I fix this?

I have a 32 GB ipod touch with plenty of space on it still, but when I sync it to iTunes, any music I've recently added will not download to the iPod.  It was working fine until a month ago, but now even though the new songs are visible on iTunes in the "On this iPod page" but they show up as not downloaded.  I've run a diagnostic test on my iPod but it said everything was working fine.  Is there a way to fix this?  I have purchased and downloaded music from cds and all of a sudden I can't add them to the library on my device.

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
    Does iTunes see the iPod?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Try syncing using the manual method
Managing content manually on iPhone, iPad, and iPod

  • I need help! i downloaded new music and plugged my iphone into my computer and after i did that i lost all my pictures and everything that i need!!! it restored my iphone back to setting from february of last year when i last had an iphone, HELP! PLEASE!

I need some help fast please!! i have had the iphone since august and have videos and pictures i need like 100% need, and today i downloaded music and plugged my phone into my computer. The phone synched and it did to the settings when the iphone 4 first came out last year, dating back to when i first had it on february 24th, 2011. I need to restore it back but everytime i try to do it through itunes it puts me back to the same settings, i hope someone knows how to fix this problem, i would greatly appreciate any help!!!!

Check here and see if you got an automatic backup when you pluuged into iTunes.   (Fingers Crossed)
    Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
If the recent backup is there, simply restore your phone from that backup.  It sounds to me that instead of syncing the phone just by connecting it to the computer, you may have restored the phone to your ancient backup.  No problem if you have the newer backup, but a huge problem if you don't have the recent backup.
If, in fact, you did restore the phone instead of getting a backup thru the (automatic) sync process, I'd strongly suggest getting the difference between the two straight in your mind.
My other suggestion would be to understand that your iPhone is "managed" thru iTunes.  You need to connect the two whenever possible instead of using the charger.

  • Can't get iTunes to download new music to Windows XP.

I have a MacBook Air, and iPhone, and an iPad2. iTunes is installed on all three and they are synching just fine. I recently authorized my home computer--running Windows XP--for home sharing. I have iTunes installed, and it has organized all of the music on my computer into the iTunes library. It isn't syncing automatically when I open iTunes. When I go to the iTunes Store, and click on New, it says I need to have the newest version of Safari installed. I downloaded and installed Safari, and it seems to work fine. I rebooted the computer after install, restarted iTunes and tried again, with exactly the same result. I still get the error message saying I need to download Safari. Any thoughts?

Are you using the Apple Software Update program to do this?
Or did you download itunes from this page and choose SAVE (instead of RUN)?
