Downloading photos from my Sony Cyber-shot

When I try to download photos from my Sony Cyber-shot to my iPad I get two messages:  Not Supported & Too Much Power Required.  Any suggestions on what I can do differently?  Thanks.

You haven't told us how you are doing the download.
Are you using the iPad Camera Connection Kit as described here?

Is there software available that will let me download photos from a Sony Jaou F100i mobile phone?  I have a USB cable.

An external memory card reader.  You can purchase one for as little as $5.
Contact Sony for software and/or read the user manual.  See if they have one for a Mac.

  • How can I donwload photographs from my SONY Cyber-shot to my MacBook Pro? I have the connection cord

I have filled the Memory Stick PRO on my SONY Cyber-Shot. The Memory Stick doesn't fit my MacBook Pro so I bought the cable to connect the camera and my machine. However, I can't find how to make the download work. [I am a novice at this.]

This is a Mozilla support site, we can't help you with your camera. Try contacting Sony

  • Importing images from a Sony Cyber-shot

I just bought a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W80. When I connect the camera, I can view the images in iPhoto and Image Capture, but I cannot import them. I just get the beach ball forever, and have to force quit iPhoto. If I try to use Image Capture, it just spins, and eventually I quit the app. I have connected several different cameras before with zero problems. I tried re-starting with no gain. The System Profiler recognizes the camera. I'm fresh out of ideas!

Can you connect the camera and go to the finder and drag the photos to a deaktop folder then import them into iPhoto?
Although I do not do that many of the experienced iPhoto users prefer that work flow and it does make it less likely that you can lose photos due to an error

  • Downloading photos from my sony ericsson w760a

In the past, I have been able to use bluetooth to download photos taken form my cellphone (sony ericsson w 760a) to iphoto. Over the past year, this has stopped working, and I get a response saying my photo can't be imported due to "unreadable format." I have tried going to Preview and choosing sRGB profile, which has not made a difference. Any advice?

Open the files in Preview and save them. Then try import.

  • IPad Air won't import video from Sony Cyber-shot W830 camera

We are able to import pictures from a Sony Cyber-shot W830 camera to an iPad Air using the lightning to USB adapter and a powered USB hub. However, if there is video on the camera along with the pictures, or only video on the camera, no option to import to the iPad will show up. I can get video onto the iPad by syncing with iTunes but I'd like to be able to accomplish it using the adapter when we are away from home and without internet access. Any suggestions?

I have got some photos on card, so can't format before importing.
Anyway, after I imported the photos on my old Macbook pro, I format the card in camera, no selection for FAT32, FAT or ... After formatting, I took some new photos for a test. On the new Macbook, the same problem occurred again.

How can I download photos from my sony memory stick to my I pad IOS6.1.3

    Hi Burkitt!
You will want to import those photos from the memory stick into your computer, then use iTunes to sync these photos into your iPad:

  • I am having problems downloading photos from my camera to iphoto 11

I am unable to download photos from my sony cybershot DSC-W170 and my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30 to iphoto11. The problem started when the colour wheel started spinning when iphoto opened after I switched on either camera and the programme became unresponsive. Subsequently when ever I then tried to open iphoto the colour wheel span and iphoto didn't respond, force quit the only way out.
After this happened the first time I rebuilt my library from timemachine (not the quickest process with around 9000 images), iphoto then opened okay and I could view libraries again.
I then downloaded the images directly from the camera sd card to my desktop and tried to drag the images into iphoto one at a time this worked but as soon as i tried to import the whole roll, the colour wheel popped up and iphoto became unresponseive again but I could view my libraries at least.
I then read about deleting the library cache which I did and restarted my mac (imac core duo 2ghz, running 10.6.8) I then tried to download from the sony cybershot again and I here am back at the start, with the colour wheel and iphoto not responding, I have just force quit and I can't open iphoto. Help!

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

  • Can't get IPOD Camera Connector to work with Sony Cyber-shot

    Can anyone help?
I have just purchased the camera connector to use on my up and coming trip to the USA, so it will free up more space on my camera.
I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P200 which is listed on Apples site of cameras that are compatable with this connector.
When i connect the cameras USB cable to import photos i get message on ipod saying no card inserted.
I have tried different makes of memory cards and changed the transfer setting on my camera from normal to PTP as apple site suggested, still nothing.
Does anyone have any other ideas?

  • I have a new MacBook air. I can't download photos from either of my cameras.

Does anyone know why the MacBook air won't download photos from either my canon digital camera or my Sony point and shoot cameras. The process starts and then I get an error message.

If you don't get an answer here, you might post this in the MBA discussion at https://discussions.apple.com/community/notebooks/macbook_air

  • Connectivity Cable CA-53 to download photos from A...

I am finding it impossible to download photos from my A6230i phone to my PC via Cable CA-53.  Nokia Phone Browser in Nokia PC Suite does not show any photos in Gallery and yet the phone says there is no room left for any more shots.  Can anyone advise, please?

The easiest way is to get 'WiFi File Transfer' from the Google Play Store:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smarterdroid.wififiletransfer
It will give you a local web address to access the file system and download items using your browser (this is purely local).

  • HP Chromebook 14 and sony cyber shot video uploads and SDHC proper ejection.

I have HP 14 Chromebook and just purchased a Sony Cyber shot. Problem is I can upload a photo and see them in files but I can't seem to undertand how to find or view my MP4 test video's. What does a video file appear like.  what type of file extension does an mp4 have? Do I need a google App ? I have enough cloud space to do so. Finally does this allow me to eject SDHC card without manually pushing it in and popping it out ?

  • How to download photos from memory stick pro duo

I have an older Sony digital camera that uses a memory stick pro duo.  I have the apple camera connection kit but my memory stick does not fit in it.  What is the easiest way to download photos from it to my iPad?

You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import.
