Downloading photos onto ipod

I am able to download photos into the ipod using a card reader and the apple connector for photos. However, when I attempt to download directly from my Nikon D70, in both Mass Storage and PTP mode the ipod tells me "no card inserted". The camera is on, and the compact flash card is inserted.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
Steve

Steve,
I guess you need to reset your ipod.
After a reset it worked fine for me. I have a Canon EOS 350D.

  • Downloading photos to ipod

    Hi!
I don't have anymore the computer from which i downloaded music onto my ipod the first time. So now I have almost 800 songs in my ipod but only like 10 songs in my itunes library. I wanted to download photos from my new computer into my ipod too but when I tried to do it I noticed there's a note saying something like itunes will first copy the music again and then the pictures, so, does that mean that if I download the photos into my ipod my 800 songs will first be replaced with the 10 songs in my itunes library? There's also a note in the Ipod manual that says that every time you connect ipod to your computer your photos will be downloaded automatically. My ipod is set to update manually, so, does this mean that if i download photos into my ipod, it will start updating automatically my music too every time i connect it to my computer and therefore I'll lose my 800 songs?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Download photos from ipod classic

Because of a glitch with the electricity, my separate harddrive reformatted itself to MS-Dos; so to reformat it back to Mac, I had to delete my iPhoto files.  While trying to back it up on my OTHER harddrive, a 'fault' appeared just as it was finishing up.  After clicking the OK button, I thought, well, the iPhoto that already was there would be practically fully backed up, one photo more or less would be no problem.  So I went ahead and reset my harddrive (the first one), not realizing that my iPhoto had entirely disappeared from my second, backup harddrive!  I still have a few of the pictures on my iPod classic.  The question is, can I upload them back from my iPod into a file on my computer?

Depending on your options when you synced the photos onto the iPod they may only be low resolution versions. Some of the tools listed in this user tip Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device may be able to extract them. If you included full resolution images I think they get stored in readable folders at the root of the iPod's drive.

  • How to download photos onto computer from Tour

Help! I cannot figure out how to download my gazillion photos onto the computer. I am also a technophobe, so I have no idea what a media card is (from what I have learned I need one ... I think I have one, but when I look in the "Computer" and my hard drives, it says it is all available, meaning none of my photos are on the media card. Am I even making anh sense? I have no idea what I am talking about, just need a lot of help. :-)

One option is to use a program like mIQ from bestbuy mobile. I use it and it syncs whatever I choose, including pictures. As far as using your computer to remove them, if you have a card reader, that would be the easiest imo. You can also use your USB cable to connect the phone to the computer. Make sure you have mass storage mode enabled. Do this by going to the menu screen and choose tools>memory>where it says Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected choose Prompt so you will always have a choice. When you connect, a menu will prompt you to enable this mode, choose yes. You will then get an Auto Play window>choose Open to View Files>BlackBerry>pictures. This will open a window with all of your pictures. Hope I was able to help!

  • Downloading photos on ipod nano

I got ipod nano and want to download pics on it and in itune source there is no photo option.. Can anybody help me regarding this.

The photo tab isn't in the Source list, it's one of the preference tabs for the iPod. Connect your iPod and when it appears in the source list lick on it's icon, this will bring up the preference tabs in the main pane on the right. Look along the tabs and you'll see one for photos.
Here's a simple "How To" on downloading photos from a folder on your hard disk to an iPod:
1 Create a folder on your hard drive to hold the photos you want on your iPod. Call it iPod Photos for example
2 Drag the photos you want from your usual picture folder into the folder you just created
2 Open iTunes, select your iPod in the iTunes Source list.
3 Click the Photos tab and select “Synch photos from.”
4 Choose “Choose Folder” from the pop-up menu and select the iPod photos folder you created.
5 When you want to change what photos are on the iPod just add or remove the photos from the folder you have made and syncronise the the iPod
On a small device like the 2GB Nano I would tend to leave the "Include Full Resolution photos" box unchecked as these will take up a lot of space on the iPod and are only useful if you want to copy photos from one computer to another. iTunes will add "optimised", small TV quality versions of the photos to the iPod for you to view.
iTunes will add "optimised", small TV quality versions of the photos to the iPod for you to view. if you want to include full size photos so you can move them from one computer to another check the "Include Full Resolution photos" box. When you want to change the photos on the iPod you simply add or remove the photos you want from your iPod Photos folder and sync the iPod.

  • Problem downloading movie onto ipod

I do not want to download a movie onto my computer then sync to my ipod. I want to download it directly onto my iPod. Is this possible? My experience is exactly the same as the following that was posted in December:
"My new Ipod Touch will not finish downloading a movie I purchased. I keep getting the phrase "Download error. tap to retry" and it goes thru the same thing over and over again. I am at the point that i want to delete the file, but can't find it on the Ipod to delete it, it doesnt show up in movies. Help, there is 3 gigs of memory tied up in this. "
I have exchanged emails with someone at apple and have searched discussions, but don't see any help in bypassing the computer.

Yes, that, and I didn't want it taking up space on the desktop.
I gave up and downloaded it onto the computer. However, now that I'm trying to sync it onto the iPod, there is not sufficient memory. It appears that 3.4 gb is taken up by "other", I assume as a result of my trying to download the movie.
How do I get rid of this "other" that doesn't tie to anything that actually exists on the iPod??

  • Downloading photos onto Macbook

    Greetings,
My iPhone 3G is synced with my PC at work, but in the past I've always been able to download photos from my phone onto my Macbook at home.
I no longer seem to be able to do that. Previously when I attached my iPhone to my Macbook it would show up on the devices list. It is not showing there now.
Please help. I want to download photos and then delete a bunch from my phone.

What are you using on your Mac to import photos, image capture or iPhoto? If using iPhoto, try launching image capture from your applications folder, see if image capture can import them.

    Hi JJelder,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
How much space do you have one your iPod left. In your iPod go to Settings (in the main menu) > About and see what it says. How are you putting them in your iPod exactly? Did you look at iPod 101: Put Pics on My ’Pod?

  • Loading Photos onto iPod Nano

I'm trying to load a few photos onto my iPod nano. Right now, Itunes is telling me I have 53.6mb of free space, and windows says the contents of the folder I'm trying to load is only 6.61mb. But when I try to load the photos, I get an error message that there isn't enough room.
Is there something I'm missing here?

  • How do I download photos onto a flash drive in the order they appear in my iPhoto folder?

How do I burn/copy photos onto a flash drive and keep the photos in the same order they appear in iPhoto folder?  I have iphoto'11  9.1.3

There are two ways. First put them in the order you want in an album.
    Method 1:
1 - rename the album the photos are in to something that will work as a file name for the photos.
2 - export photos to a folder on the Desktop via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export
menu option with File Name = Album Name with number.
    Method 2:
1 - select the photos in the album and use the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Title to Text
menu option to rename the photos and add a sequential number to the end of the file name.
2 - export photos to a folder on the Desktop via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export
menu option with the option File Name use Title
