Downloading photoshop onto another computer

i want to put photoshop elements 6 onto my apple mac, i already have a serial number but when i try to put it into my mac it says the number is invalid, does it matter that i originally had photoshop on windows?

Serial numbers for Photoshop Elements 6 are platform-specific. If bought for windows it works only on windows platform. In case, you now decide to change your platform to Mac you would need to perform a cross platform swap. More information regarding this process is available here. See this article and confirm that you are eligible for a swap first.
Under normal circumstances, language swaps are performed only for the current version of the product. As an exception in your case if you can confirm that you have the setup file for Photoshop Elements 6 Mac(we will not be able to provide this to you, you will need to arrange it yourself)  will disable the SN for Windows Platform and generate a new SN for Mac Platform.
If this is acceptable, contact Customer Support with the relevant information.

    Whether you can re-download your past music purchases will depend upon what country that you are in. On the iTunes store home page on your computer there should be a Puchased option under Quick Links on the right-hand side of it - go into that and see if music is an option for re-downloading
