Downloading purchased apps/music without having to "Buy" again.
Upgraded my iPad2 to iOS 5.0.1 and lost all apps/music. Found them on iTunes Store but when I try to "Download All" I am asked to "Buy" again. Don't want to do that. Any suggestions?
The following article explains how to download past purchases from the App Store, iBook Store, and iTunes Store:

If you are unable to redownload your past purchases using this feature, you may wish to contact iTunes Store Customer Support via http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/gotoiTunesSupport
They might be able to help.

Can i get my app back without having to buy it again?
I bought an app then 2 days later my phone messed and I had to restore it. Can I get my app back without having to buy it again?
For step-by-step details, see:

Once you get the app back, make sure you sync your iPhone to your computer so the app (and anything else you've purchased from the iTunes Store via your iPhone) get synched to your computer, then make a backup of your purchases. That way you're protected in case you ever lose anything again (which can be a problem if an app is ever removed from the iTunes Store and you don't have a backup).

I have already purchased iMovie for my iPad. Is there a way to download to my MAC without having to pay again?
The iPad version is for iOS devices and can't run on OS X.
The OS X version costs 3 times as much and is a separate download. -

If the music was purchased with iTunes, you can re-download them for free see below:

Only partial songs downloaded when I purchased an album. How do I fix this without having the buy the whole album again?
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items. -
I have an iPod Touch that has the IOS 5.1.1 and I want to update my OS without having to buy a new device. How can I do this? I have logged into ITunes, backed up my device and it says my device is up to date, but now I can't reload my Facebook App because it says I need IOS 6.0 or higher. Does anyone have any suggestions?
To more easily find compatible apps:
iOSSearch - search the iTunes store for compatible apps.
Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.

My iphone has recently crashed & i had music from itunes i had not yet synced to my computer how do i get it back without having to buy it again, im in Australia so do not yet have icloud
Unfortunately you can't. You could try contacting Apple and asking nicely, but they're under no obligation to help you. If you can wait until fall*, when iCloud is officially launched alongside iOS 5, you can probably download them all again then.
The small print at the bottom of http://www.apple.com/au/icloud/ says "some music features of iCloud are available in beta now in the U.S. only"
I can't find anything which guarantees it will work outside the US after the beta, but it probably will. iTunes Match is definitely US only, for a couple of years at least until the legal stuff is dealt with.

Like Apps, can I re-download purchased TV shows without paying again?
I love getting TV shows on iTunes, and I want to continue to do so. However, the file sizes get unwieldy at a certain point, especially when HD can reach upwards of 2+ GB. I would love to save some space by deleting them for my hard drive for the time being, and if I felt like watching them again, I could re-download them.
So like the subject line asks... Can I re-download TV shows I've purchased without having to pay again? App's work that way, where if I click Download on an App I've purchased, it will recognize that I bought it, and won't charge me a second time.no you can't. Apple's policy is clear about this, you pay for a single download of any music/video as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1469
make sense considering the bandwidth require at Apple Store to allow multiple purchase of all content.
so, it is the buyer responsability to backpup its purchase. I would suggest you to buy an external drive to backup your TV shows. -

My old computer died on me with no warning signs. I didn't know or need to copy my music to another computer. I would like to know how to get the music that I bought onto my new computer without having to buy it all again. I just want to be able to get all of my music that I bought on itunes onto my computer. Right now the money ive spent is just gone and I have no music to show for it.
Go to the iTunes Store and select "Purchased" from the Quick Links side bar on the right. Go through all the tabs to download again for free
