Downloading Ring Tones

Call me cautious, but I would love some feedback. How can I download free simple ringtones without getting all the junk emails that tend to follow. My father has a new Nokia with virtually no ringtones. I would like to download him a simple tune as a once off without being constantly hassled afterwards. Can someone recommend a website that offers this.

Ringtones are a one-time only download from the store. Do you have copies of them in the Tones part of your computer's iTunes library, and/or on your backup of your downloads/library that you should have been keeping and maintaining - if you have then you can sync them to your phone from that.

Downloaded ring tone too low

I just got the phone, about 2 hours ago, its great. The only issue I'm having is that my downloaded ring tone is too soft. It Frankenstien by Edgar Winter so it should play loud enough. The ring tones that were on the phone are loud enough. How do I raise the volume on a downloaded one?

In itunes, go to the ringtones tab and select all downloaded ringtones. right click and click get info and under options, you can increase the volume slider all the way up if you wish to. then click ok. after that you have to resync your iphone with itunes to get the "louder" ringtones.

How do I get a downloaded ring tone to work Droid MAx with KitKAt?

I downloaded a ring tone but since it is on the SD card I cannot do anything with it except play it in a music player. It is not available as a ring tone and I cannot move it to the ring tone folder. Any ideas?

Ringtones are a great way to personalize your device and we are here to help make sure we get it set up immediately.
What happens if you go to the ringtone in the music player and press and hold down on the ringtone? Do you see an option to set as? If so, select that option and select to set it as a ringtone/notification. Let us know if this helps? Was the ringtone originally purchased online or over the phone?

Assign different ringtones for the special people in your life. Go to Contacts, choose a contact, tap edit, then tap Ringtone.
Choose Send Ringtone to iTunes from the Share menu.
In iTunes, use the Ringtones pane to select the ringtones you want to sync to iPhone.

Help downloading ring tones

When I try to purchase ring tones from bplay at mobile.blackberry.com for my 8350i, I get an error message that the ring tone is not available for sale in my Country. I'm in the US and the US is selected as my Country. I have tried several different ring tones with the same result. Is there a work-around for this, or another site that will allow me to purchased ring tones?

Ringback tones are not something you download. It's a service through your provider. Contact your provider for information on how to access it.

Assigning downloaded ring tones from iTunes

I recently downloaded a ringtone from iTunes but went to look for it to assign it and cannot do it. Cannot even find it on the list of ringtones that comes with the iPhone 4 i have.

If they were somehow deleted from iTunes on your computer, subsequent syncing will also delete them from your phone. If they aren't on your computer or your phone you have no choice except to create them again.

Downloaded ring tone and synced but doesnt appear in iPhone

I bought and downloaded a ringtone from iTunes on my iMac and downloaded it, but can't find it on my iPhone. Under "Settings" and "Ringtone" the only sounds that show are the default ones from Apple. How do I get iPhone to let me see and select my downloaded ringtone?

Hi, yes I did create it and yes it appears under ringtones as well as under "purchased" under iTunes on the iPhone. But how do I get that ringtone to appear the Setting and Sounds icon. When I go back there and select ringtones, the only ones there are the Apple-generated ones that came with the iPhone.
I don't know what Garageband is or where that would be on my iPhone, sorry.

Re=downloading ring tones after iOS 5 update

I have 3 ringtones I had purchased from ituns and downloaded to my phone before the newest iPhone update. I had one of them set, and since the iOS 5 update reset everything, i went to re-assign the ringtones and they were gone! I dont know where to find them! ive looked through previous purchases and cant find any ringtones. Where did they go??! Id like to have them back! I though i read somewhere that now we dont have to re=purchase things we have previously bought thru iTunes store anymore because it remmebers what we have purchased in the past,, help?

sync phoe with ringtones deselected to remove them from phone only, they will stay in itunes, then resync with ringtones selected and your problem will be solved

Hi there. Sorry you're having trouble with your iPhone.
You shouldn't be getting a message about being connected to wifi, unless you haven't gotten the apps downloaded to your computer. Check the apps section of iTunes. Make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes on your PC/Mac and iOS on your iPhone. Try unchecking "Sync Apps" and "Sync Music" and then re-check them, as this should delete and restart the syncing of those items. You'll want to make sure that you have verified your iPhone to have your purchased content on it, also, otherwise it will not work.

Recently purchased NokiaC2-01 mobile, want to download ring tone from web site. I Get a text code to my mobile to input into web page, but then do not get text with download instructions. Seems like you are downloading from a third party website. Try downloading from Nokia Store. To ensure compatibility of the games/apps for your phone, don't forget to indicate your phone model on the top most portion of the screen.

Missing purchased ring tones, after upgrade

Any advice on how to reinstate purchased ring tones on my Iphone 3gs? The purchases show in Itunes but, if I tick the ring tones sync box, there is a dialogue box warning that all music etc on the Iphone will be lost. I don't want to do that!
Historically, ring tones purchased on the PC have never transposed to the phone and I have directly downloaded ring tones via the Iphone.

I’m glad to hear you upgraded to one of our fabulous Smartphones. As SuzyQ mentioned, ringtones that were previously purchased will not automatically transfer over when you upgrade your device. However, these ringtones are available for repurchase through My Media Retrieval if you login to My Verizon. Have a wonderful night!
