Downloading Ringtone Problems (Blackberry 8820)

I'm trying to download a ringtone from a song using the media manager software.  The "Edit with Quick Sound Editor" is not available from the right-click menu.  See instructions below.  Anyone have a solution?
In Media Manager, browse to the audio file from which you want to create a ring tone.
Right-click the audio file and choose Edit with Quick Sound Editor.
If necessary, display the Trim & Fade view by clicking Trim Fade.
Move the play head to the beginning of the section you want to use as your ringtone, either by clicking Preview or by clicking the waveform.
Click Set Start.
Move the play head to the end of the section you want to use as your ringtone.
Click Set End.
Click Create Ringtone.
Specify a file name and location for the new file, and click Save.
To exit from Quick Sound Editor, click Close.
In Media Manager, browse to the audio file from which you want to create a ring tone.
Right-click the audio file and choose Edit with Quick Sound Editor.

Not sure about the WIFI mate,
BUT: The blackberrys are pre-designed and configured to the carrier they were released with.
Although the phone is 'unlocked'- it will always belong to Orange.
The only software you can put on it is Orange, get the latest from the carriers website.
If your issue is resolved, put a checkmark in the green box that contains the resolution.
OR
If it was just/or also really helpful - Give it a Kudos.. Go on Mate.. Help the rest of the clueless blackberry user world find their answer too..

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Here is a KB that discusses that error:
KB03490 Internal Error 2738. Could not access VBscript appears when installing BlackBerry Desktop Manager
Normally, that is an install error rather than an uninstall error, but hopefully the remedies it contains will still be useful! There also are multiple existing threads on this site that discuss that exact error...your review of those might prove useful, and a search of this site, using the error message, error code, or symptom, should reveal all applicable existing threads to you.
Good luck and let us know!

downloaded ringtone and alert tone from itunes, showed on my phone, an hour later they were wiped??  cannot find them now? help (restarted, synched etc etc) same problem

    Hi jaswantfromlondon,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact context for when or how these tones disappeared. If your tones have disappeared and you are having issues restoring them, you may find the information and steps outlined in the following article helpful (it refers specifically to 8.1.1, but the steps may more generally apply to your situation):
Restore missing tones on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 8.1.1 - Apple Support

  • Irritating ringtone problem

    Hi there
Any help would really be appreciated. Ever since updating to blackberry 6 OS on my 9300, I have a ringtone problem that, regardless of what I change in my profile settings, won't go away. My ringtone goes something like this: "Call from 082 ******* 90 (Whatever the number was), upgrade today to remove this message". Even with my phone on silent or vibrate it still rings. I've checked my profile settings for both silent and vibrate.. the volume is off and the ringtones are songs from my phone. I have no idea where its all coming from. Please help
    Thanks Jordan

Hmm. Updating my installation to 6.0.2 doesn't solve the crash. Bug report
submitted. I've attached here a simple VI demonstrating the problem that,
when run, results in a failure at line 2361 in "graphcrs.cpp". Be
interesting to see if it's a widespread thing or just my machine.

  • Remotely synchronizing my BlackBerry 8820

TOPIC:  Looking for a solution to remotely synchronize my BlackBerry 8820 with Outlook 2007
DISCUSSION: I am trying to find a way to streamline the synchronization process of my BlackBerry 8820 to my Outlook 2007 software.  Do to the nature of my work I am always traveling and have little accessibility to my schedulers computer.  My schedule is constantly adjusting throughout the day/week and my scheduler is unable to remotely push the updates to me.  I am aware that T-Mobile’s Sidekick has a downloadable software the allows the operator to synchronize without docking the unit.  I am wondering if there is anything like this for the BlackBerry.
Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

There is another solution, that consists on using a Google Calendar. There is a Google tool to sync with an Outlook calendar, and another Google tool to sync with a blackberry calendar.

  • Have recently updated to ios 8.1.1 and have lost my downloaded ringtones I paid and downloaded again only to find it has disappeared

Have recently updated to ios 8.1.1 and have lost my downloaded ringtones I paid and downloaded again only to find it has disappeared again has anyone else had this problem as I have browsed the net and I appear  not to be the only one to have this problem.
    <Edited By Host>

I spent over an hour on hold with Apple last night only to find out they are being bombarded with calls about this.  Just bought the iPhone 6 a few days ago, lost my ringtones, rebought them because I didn't want the hassle of being on hold like I was.  They disappeared after 24 hours!  Re purchased them thinking it was a glitch, nope, gone again!  Apple tech said they are having problems with the 8.1.1 update and you can call to get reimbursed.  They are working on a new update and hope that will fix the problem but they can't guarantee it!  What???  They don't know when the update will be available and if it will fix the problem.  But they said the ringtones should hopefully reappear on the phones......Get it together Apple!!

  • Unable to download ringtones.

I have the latest update for iTunes, I have re-confirmed my account information, I have ensured I am using the U.S. store and I am still unable to download ringtones to my library. I am able to access a song I purchased and create the ringtone however when I select "buy" it will ask me for my password and when I enter it it says, "purchasing" whatever title it is and then it just sits there... I wait and nothing happens, I look in ringtones and it's empty, I review my purchase history and there is nothing there. Anyone have anymore ideas?
    Thanks!

    GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Pass this along:
I found a way to find the Terms of Service and accept them. I read a post of how one guy went into the iTunes store and purchased a song which brought up the Terms of Service on its own. When I tried this, however, I was greeted with a message that the iTunes store was currently unavailable, so I went into my account information, pressed "Reset Warnings". I then found a random song attempted to buy it and was was shown the Terms of Service, accepted them, canceled the song buy, and pressed the ringtone button. Worked fine.
Hope this helps anyone else who has this problem.

  • BB Tour ringtone problems

I am a new BB Tour user....it seems when I set the ringtone, sometimes it defaults back to the Classic Ring tone.....why does this happen and what do I do
    and
How can I download songs instead of using their ringtones?

I have provide some information below that may help with your tethering connection to VZAccess Manager.
I would advise to download the newest version of VZAccess Manager. I have provided the downloaded link below:
***Please be sure that you have completely uninstalled the previous version before installing the new version.
    http://www.vzam.net/download/supported.aspx
-Under the category PDA/Advance Devices select the link to the version that is compatible with your OS (ex. Windows 7)
    -Select the link
-Enter your 10 digit Verizon Wireless number
-Select download now and save the file to your desktop.
***If you are running VZAccess Manager version 6 or lower and do not want to update the version (complete the steps below)
Download and Install the Blackberry Desktop Manager. I have provided the link to download below:
    http://www.vzam.net/blackberry/
-Select Personal Email (If you are not on a BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server)
-Select your device model type (BB Tour 9630)
-Enter your 10 digit Verizon Wireless number and select download on the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
-Once the file is downloaded, install the Blackberry Desktop manager and open it.
-Once it is open, tether your device to your computer and desktop manager and it will update the information. You may minimize the menu once it is complete.
***Blackberry Desktop manager will contain the driver necessary for tethering your Blackberry Tour
***Try untethering and pull your battery on the Blackberry device. Place the battery back into the device and allow it to boot back up (this may take 3-5 minutes). Tether your device once again and retest.

  • Charger for blackberry 8820

    Hello
I am desperately looking for a charger for my blackberry 8820- an old model dating 2007; I cannot find it nor on the specialized websites, neither in the specialized stores, because it is too old... Would anyone send me one in France, I ll pay for the transport of course. I live in Paris.

you can use any most any mini USB charger for it that supplies 700ma. (lesser curretn will take longer to charge it)
You can get one for a 8300 series phone or a 9000 Bold charger will work.
most newer devices use a micro USB connection that will not fit a mini unless you get an adapter.

  • Download Ringtone option is gone

    Blackberry Curve 8300:
There used to be an option for downloading ringtones by following the path: Media - ringtones - Menu - Download Ringtones.  That option is now gone.  Anyone know how to retrieve it?  I am specifically looking to download the Song ID program allowing you to hold your phone up to a speaker to get information such as artist and song title.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Try doing a battery pull to help remove such anomalies.  Remove the back cover and pull out the battery with the device ON.  Wait about one minute and replace the battery.  Allow the BB to completely restart and see if that doesn't return your missing option.
This is also good idea to do when you install apps or your file free number gets low and your BB appears sluggish. Happens to me when I've been posting on the forums for a while!
There's an app, Quickpull , that will simulate a battery pull, but you don't have to actually remove the battery.  Make sure you use the version for your BB's OS.  go to options-about 3rd line down will read v4.x.x.xxx to see your OS version.l
Good to have you here. Keep coming back.

    You're welocme
Depending on the size of the app or the connection speed when using Wi-Fi it could take a little longer to download. You can also try to download it onto your computer, might be faster, and sync it to the phone after that.

  • How can I get a downloaded ringtone/song to appear in the settings/sounds/Ringtones menu area on Iphone 4?

How can I get a downloaded ringtone/song to appear in the settings/sounds/Ringtones menu area on Iphone 4? Thanks

You must create the ringtones.  google will find several free ways to do this.
It will then appear in the "Ringtones" section of your itunes "Library".
Then you select it to sync under the ringtones tab.
