The Safari 3 beta was for Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5, but has since expired; the finished version of Safari 3 is included with the Mac OS X 10.4.11 updater and all Mac OS X 10.5 packages. No download is available or necessary, as you already have it.

Sorry to say that Apple isn't the best choice in that department as they are primarily a consumer products company, they don't cater to business needs with their offerings.

Apple has discontinued their X-Server and now OS X server is really just a hobbyist pursuit, not a serious business solution. The Mac Pro hasn't been updated in ages.
Mac's can be used on Windows, Unix and Linux servers, but on that side of things it's best to use the services of a local server technician. Linux costs nothing for the licenses and is very secure and highly configurable.

All I can suggest is evaluate your local offerings from many of those type local server business services in you area and go from there. You'll likely be a mixed shop for quite some time or perhaps forever as some won't give up Windows like some won't give up their Mac's.
Also Mac's are not very cost effective anymore, Apple changes the operating system annually which require new software/paid upgrades, Windows 7 will last another decade and offer desktop models that parts can be exchangesd or replaced in house, unlike Mac's which one has to bring it in and AppleCare expires in three years.
So buisnesss and profit speaking Windows is pretty good, but if your like Google who has a big bank account then replacing Mac's every couple of years is nothing.

Downloaded Safari ver 1.3.2 for OS x 10.3.9 but will not install

My copy of safari ver 1.3.2 recently stopped working, it crashes most of the time now, but worked perfectly before. I am on OS X 10.3.9 Safari probably got corrupted. I tried downloading a copy of Safari ver 1.3.2 from Apple but it would not install. The instructions for downloading and installing it say that you have to have Safari ver 1.3.1 first. So like a good little boy I tried downloading and installing ver 1.3.1. STILL no good. What a waste of time! Yes, I made sure the copy of Safari I have now is in the apps folder (not in a subfolder). How can I get a new copy of Safari that I can install?
Yeah, I get the message halfway thru the install process (after agreeing to the license, etc) that says something like "you cannot install this software on this volume, this system cannot use this software" But this is exactly the same version of Safari that I have now!! I have more than enough space free on the HD for this, over 15GB free.
do I have to trash the copy of Safari I have first?

Hello Niepce and welcome!
I suspect that you have in fact been downloading the updates and not the application itself, which prior to Safari 3 beta was not available for download.
Safari for your system would have been included on your install disks that came with your Mac. Try re-installing the application from there.

Mail Crashes after installing Safari 3 Beta and

Last night (technically early this morning) I installed these three things at the same time:
Safari 3 Beta
Security Update 2007-006 (Universal)
Mac OS X Update (Intel)
Once I restarted my Mail.app would not launch. It bounces a single time and that is all.
Then I uninstalled the Safari 3 Beta using the "Safari3BetaUninstall.pkg" that came with the installer. That didn't solve the problem.
Since then after reading:

I downloaded Font Finagler and cleared my font cache. Restarted, no dice.
Then I reset my PRAM. Restarted, no dice.
Then I restarted in Safe Boot, and tried to launch Mail. No dice.
Then verfied disk permissions both while running osx from my hard drive and from the install cd. Both times it had some similar permssion errors that were fixed.
I also "verified disk" using disk utility from the osx install cd. It said it was fine.
Finally I tried reinstalling Mail and Safari from the "optional install" application on the osx cd. Still nothing.

After reading what I just typed I tried launching ichat will not launch either. One bounce and that's it.

When I followed your path it was not MSN IM it was iChat.
I did run disk permissions after I installed 10.4.10. It found errors and corrected them.
So I followed Max's video tutorial and it all went swimmingly except it would not copy a subfolder entitled "versions." It said that "versions could not be replaced because it was in use"
Versions was in two places in the Archive folder I stripped from the Safari 3 Beta install package:
Archive/System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework/Versions
and
Archive/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/JavaScriptGlue.framework/Versions
I've also found versions folders all over my computer...
I replaced and/or copied all the folders over from Max's tutorial except the versions folders.
Mail and iChat still do not work. I'm a little nervous to restart.

Can't download Xcode 6 beta 4 because of application memory!

I have a 2013 macbook air 13" and I want to download Xcode 6 beta 4 but the application memory fills up once it starts downloading. Soon the message appears and I have to close Safari! What I have done for other Xcode betas is to download it in another computer and then pass it to this one using a flash drive. I don't know if its a problem of the computer or if it is something else.

there are different versions of Xcode that run on different versions of OS X. You’ll probably need to log in to the Mac Dev Center to find the particular version of Xcode that runs on Lion.

Using Internet Exploer / Cannot download Safari

Im currently using th IMAC OS X 10.1.5. Web pages wont load correctly and no videos can be played. I want to download Safari but the apple web page will not load for me to download it. please someone help me!! What can I do to update my internet browser!!

You might want to have a read of Software Update Upgrade: What's the Difference? which will help you understand the difference.
Yes, you will need to purchase an upgrade. Cornelius is correct in suggesting that 10.1 is barely a beta version of the OS and you really should upgrade (I also would suggest finding a copy of Panther 10.3). You can find copies on ebay or from resellers such as fastMac.com etc.
Sorry, I don't know of another browser that you can use instead that will work with 10.1 but you might want to do a search on the web for "OSX browsers 10.1" and see if any turn up. Make sure to download only the version for your version of OSX. If you were trying to download Safari 3 it wouldn't work for 10.1 anyways as it takes 10.4 at least I think. The last version of Safari that works for 10.3 is Safari 1.3.2. Personally, if you do upgrade to Panther you should download Camino 1.6.6 as it is still being updated for Panther.

How do I uninstall safari 4 beta?

I am a new mac user so any help would be appreciated. I have a new macbook. I downloaded and installed safari 4 beta and don't like the problems it causes. I can't access hotmail. I can get in but can't open any of the emails. I also can't click and open links in emails. I want to uninstall safari beta 4 but don't know how. I'd like to go back to the previous version. Any help would be appreciated and remember I'm a newbie mac user so be gentle!

That would normally work if there was a previous version installed. However, I deleted all my previous versions and the Uninstaller will not uninstall Safari since it can't find a previous version. I downloaded an earlier version 3.2.3 but it tells me that I have a later version installed and won't install 3.2.3. Furthermore, whatever version I bring up has concierge in its header line which I can't get rid of either. Finally, Safari continues to crash even after I reset it, delete whatever concierge items I can find on my computer, etc. Help is disparately needed. Fortunately, I am an old Firefox user, and now trying Camino and Opera but I would like help in figuring out how to use Safari. Thanks.

I can't get rid of the HT1222 (Safari Public Beta) Update

Every single time I look to see if any updates are available for my Mac, it always comes up with this Safari Public Beta Update. I have tried downloading it a couple times. Each time, it downloads, and installs something, but every time that I go back to software updates, it still comes up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What type of account(s) are you using -- POP, IMAP or .mac? I would like you to create a New User Account on your Mac, and as that New User set up at least one email account, and test for this behavior. If POP, do you leave the messages on the server for a while after downloading -- this would provide that you have messages with which to test, as the New User's Mail would again download those message that remain on the server. Also, if using POP, I would want you to quickly check to not allow the New User email account to remove any message it downloads, before you later can download them into your normal user account.

Also, open a message you have received and tried to Forward, click on View in the Menubar, place the cursor on Message and choose Raw Source. See of the text that has not come into the Compose window is ordinary looking, or itself in some sort of attachment?

Downloaded Safari 5.0.2 for Windows 7 - No Top Sites

My laptop used to have Windows Vista and I used Safari in this environment and had the top sites in Safari - I loved it.
Recently upgraded to Windows 7 (which is much better so far), downloaded Safari 5.0.2 and do not have Top Sites.
Does anyone know how I get the top sites on this new version of Safari?

Most likely, your computer needs a graphics card upgrade. I think that if your computer doesn't meet a specific graphics requirement (or it simply doesn't have the power), then Safari disables this option. Unfortunately, the only way to get top sites, from what I know from experience, you need to upgrade your video card.

Tried downloading Safari on my Windows computer...won't load everything in the browser including tool bars. Can't even type addresses in to go to websites. Tried restarting my system, everything. I heard it wasn't that great for Windows, but I didn't think it would be this bad. I enjoy it on my Mac...hope there's a bug fix soon.

5.1 is buggy, and the Apple Support Software also has to be uninstalled - and downgraded.
Better off with 5.0.x for now.
There are a dozen threads+ about 5.1s issues.
You can also expect some extensions and plug-ins could also be trouble.
And manually clean out every sub folder in AppData with Safari (prefs, history, web, etc) when moving to a new version. Same with Firefox 5/6/etc
I'd make sure to use CCleaner 3.09 and make sure that cleans Safari.

Safari was beta-ed during the evolution of Jaguar (10.2) although Safari 1.0 is now listed as compatible with all OS versions between 10.2 to 10.2.8. Now, there's a version of Safari available for every OS between 10.2 to 10.4.1.
Safari 1.0 for Mac OS X 10.2-10.2.8
Safari 1.2 for Mac OS X 10.3-10.3.8
Safari 1.3 for Mac OS X 10.3.9 (available with the 10.3.9 update)
Safari 2.0 for Mac OS X 10.4-10.4.1 (available on the Tiger DVD, with associated component updates accompanying the 10.4.1 update)

Is there any way I can download safari 2 again?

I had deleted Safari from my computer quite a while ago by accident and now I can't download the Safari 3 beta because I do not have safari 2. Does anyone know where I can download safari? I have not been able to find anywhere and I've searched quite a bit.

Here's how you can get another copy of Safari 2.0.4.
Thanks to Andy Ball in this forum, a simple method exists.
First, download via your current browser a copy of Safari from this site to obtain a zip file of Safari. On this site page, select "free", then on the following page you'll need to wait about 30 seconds for the target site options to appear. Select one of them, fill in the "alpha/numeric prompt", and the file will download.
After the new Safari application is mounted, go to the Finder and move the Safari.app to your Applications folder.
Go to the Utilities folder>Disk Utility and "repair permissions".
Then, you can install Safar 3 Beta using the appropriate installer.
Remember too, the Beta Installer includes an Uninstaller if you need to revert back to 2.0.4.

Safari Crashes/Beta 3 Uninstall Problems

Hi guys, unfortunately Safari has been causing me a lot of problems lately, and I can't quite figure out what the cause of it is. I've been looking at the past threads trying to figure out if I have the same problem as someone else, but I don't think I do.
When I try to get on Safari, the page pops up and loads the apple home page like normal. But a few seconds later, if I even try to click near anything on the page, Safari crashes and disappears without an error report or anything.
I figured I would just uninstall the beta, and go back to the older version, but when I try to uninstall the beta, it freezes while trying to do so.
I'm not sure what I should do or try, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
On one last note, how would I uninstall Safari manually? Just by removing everything? Sound like a stupid question, but I don't want to mess anything else up.

Welcome to Apple discussions.
If I understand you post, you began having problems after installing the Safari 3 beta (IMHO a bad mistake - beta=bugs).
There is a special forum for people with similar problems.
There is supposedly an uninstaller that was part of the Safari 3 beta download. I would also run repair disk from your software install DVD to clean up directory problems.
If I were you, if the above does not work, I would do an archive and install (after backing up, of course):

In that way, you would have a pristine copy of OS X (you would, of course, have to update from there) while retaining your files, programs, and settings.
