Downloading sims 2

I want to buy Sims 2 for my MBP. Is it safe to download it? Does this compromise the security/return policy of that of purchasing a disc? Are there good or bad consequences of dwnloading it?

Is it safe to download it?

  • I downloaded iTunes on my computer, then downloaded sims freeplay, now how do i play it?

    The title says it all
i downloaded iTunes on my windows computer then went straight to download the app and i cant work out how to work it!
How do i find it to play on??

The Apps available in the iTunes Store are for iOS devices, namely the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. You will need one of those devices to play your game.

  • Removed waiting downloads in iTunes yet it reappears when I connect it to my computer the next time.

As per subject. But in depth, I wanted to download Sims World and some Zombie game but decided against it later. However, no matter how I try to remove it from the Downloads tab in iTunes, it keeps restarting to download when I reconnect my iPad. Any help is appreciated :)

Deauthorize all, then authorize the active computer(s).

It is important to respect that this is a forum meant to support Mac-owners with their various Mac-/OS X- issues.
Still, to some extent I can agree with you.
Why? Because this is always the first place I go to myself if I have any issues with my Macs, whether it be os-issues, technical issues or software issues, even also when the software is not an Apple product.
The reason for this is that the users here all own Macs and have long time experience with various Mac-models. I come here out of respect for the knowledge people here posses based on their years of experience with Macs and Apples different os´es. Members here have been through more or less any thinkable and unthinkable issue with their computers and the collected knowledge this represents is unique.
So instead of being miffed (which I have seen in quite a few replies) about what experienced members may consider as "stupid", "naive/banal" or "out-of-place" questions, it should be taken as a compliment that this support site is considered the "mother" of all Mac-support.
That said, when it comes to software, games and such, it is always a good idea to go to the publishers site and check if they have a user forum or support pages concerning Mac/OS X.
    All the best,

  • Can't download any apps

I am trying to download sims freeplay 8gb iPod touch 4g. I have iOS 6.1.3 and it's not jail broken at all. Is there anyway you can solve it? The app downs loads halfway through and then it starts over.

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to Settings.iTunes and App Store and sign out and sign back in
    - Download on computer and sync to iPod
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

  • How do I remove a virtual CD drive in Windows 8?

One of my friends used my computer to download Sims 3, and now I have a virus. It seems to have created a whole virtual CD drive (J:) on my computer, and I can't delete any of it. The drive won't eject or delete. I followed the instructions in another page
of the forum under "windows 8 disk management remove basic virtual disk," but it doesn't see (J:). It sees several other drives, just not that one. The virus is on this drive, and Norton isn't seeing it elsewhere, so I can't just delete that either,
as it's showing the "disk" as read-only. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
    Thank you so much!
PS: I have a screenshot if that would help. The forum won't allow me to post it here.
PPS: The instructions I followed from the other forum page are: "If you don't want the virtual hard disk any longer, all you have to do is delete it.  You don't give specifics, so I will have to guess.
If this is a virtual hard disk used by a VM you tried to create in Hyper-V, first go into Hyper-V and delete the VM.  That just deletes the VM - not the disk.  After deleting the VM, there should be no process using the virtual hard drive, so you
    just have to delete it.
Another thing you might have done is to create the VHD and mounted it to Windows 8.  In this case, you can't delete it because Windows 8 owns it.  Start computer management (compmgmt.msc).  Go to Disk Managment.  Find the entry for your
VHD.  Right-click and detach it.  Then you can delete it.
If it is not one of these things, you are going to have to give a more complete description of your environment and what is preventing you from deleting it.  .:|:.:|:. tim"

Go to Device Manager, check if the virtual CD drive is available. If yes, disable or uninstall the device.

  • Playing a game with NO disk drive?

I recently downloaded Sims 3 on my 11 inch Macbook Air via File Sharing. Now... the only issue is that it will not play unless the disk is inserted... Problem...I don't HAVE a disk drive, obviously. How can I get the game to play properly when its already installed on my computer. There HAS to be a way, this is crazy

The Sims 3 is supported by Origin so it is possible to play it on the MacBook Air without the disc. Here's the problem with Origin, though. It's currently only available for Windows so you'd need to Boot Camp the machine in order to then install Windows, Origin and ultimately the Sims 3. Not exactly a work around. Origin is coming to the Mac and no mention of what cloud-sync games it'll support, there's also no date for when Origin will be available. So if you were willing to wait at a future point you might have some extra options or go the Bootcamp route.
I'll let you and Judge Linc Davis hash out the legal wrangling but outside of some "creative & questionable" no CD work arounds I'm afraid Linc is spot on about the requirement of having the CD present using an external drive.
