Downloading songs from the US

Can anyone tell me why I cant download a song from itunes. I only want one song, which is a single. I cant find it at all in the UK store, so I switch to the USA store and I find it immediately, but cant purchase it because in billing info I live in the UK. It seems that this can be done in the USA store, but not in the UK. Why? The track in question is LA LA LA by Auburn Ft IYAZ
how are fans supposed to support foreign up & coming artist legally if the main medium itunes does not allow it?

This has been covered here literally dozens of times, but once again: most content owners do not allow cross-border sales from any of the legal download stores. The record companies and other rights holders are often completely different from country to country and so all require their own individual negotiations and contracts. You must therefore have legal residence in the country of the iTunes Store you wish to use.
You can contact the artist and/or their label and express your interest in having the track licensed to the iTunes Store in your country. It's not unusual, though, for independent artists or those on small labels to have no representation outside of their own country, in which case there's no entity in your country with the legal right to be able to license for download sale.

  • How to download songs from the cloud to my itunes library

I have already began the process of downloading songs from the cloud onto my itunes library. My internet decided to rest itself so once i reconnected to the internet I had to pause all downloads. I am now trying to finish the process of downloading the songs and itunes has been processing the file of 3 songs for the past hour. Is there anyway I can fix this?

I doubt the first generation ATV supports iCloud.
iCloud was introduced long after the first ATV and there have been no more updates for the first ATV.

I have just purchased iTunes Match...Can I download songs from the cloud onto my iPad as I have dj software on the iPad and the song files  have to be downloaded onto the iPads hard drive for it to play

Yes, you certainly can. You just tap the iCloud download button to download the tracks.

I subscribed to Music Match with iTunes and yet my ipad settings for Music only still has the option to subscribe, and therefore I cannot click on an option to Activagte iTunes Match, since it is not there. I have all the right number of songs from the icloud showing up in my ipad now, and I have played a few, but when I tried to turn off the computer, it showed a field stating that my ipad music would stop playing too, and it did. I thought this might have something to do with homesharing, but this I thought was something separate from iCloud.
There is something wrong, but I don't understand what. It has just synced, but the problem persists.

Home sharing is separate from iTunes Match.  Sounds like you were playing music using home sharing, which turned off when you turned off your computer.
Open iTunes on your computer and go to the Store menu.  Confirm that there is a setting called Turn Off iTunes Match.  That will confirm that iTunes Match is enabled on your computer.  Then check to see what Apple ID you subscribed to iTunes Match with.  It will be the ID in Store>View Account (in parentheses).
On your iPad, confirm that you are signed in with this same ID in Settings>iTunes & App Store (at the top).  If so, you should see an iTunes Match setting listed with an on/off slider.  Slide it on to enable iTunes Match on your iPad.

  • Download songs from the cloud to my library

I stored my songs in the cloud from one computer to get them to another. Now these songs are stored in the library with an icloud status as "matched" and they cannot be played/moved/downloaded to anywhere else. How do I download them to my library so I can have access to them?
I've tried following instructions ie right click on a song and click download, but I don't have a download option when I right click??? WHAT IS THIS? WHAT IS LIFE!!!!

If the songs are not in your iTunes library, download them as indicated here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.  Then sync them to your iPod.

  • Trouble downloading songs from the Cloud

Hi, I'm having trouble downloading songs onto my iPhone 4. My sister just bought a bunch of songs on her iPhone 4, and they showed up in my phone, but will not download. When I tried to go through iTunes to download them, instead of using the Cloud, they will not download and the message "Download error. Tap to retry." appears even though I've tried see real times. Is there anything I can do to download them?

Disk Utility has two things (at least my old version does), First Aid and Permissions.  If your drive reports problems when verifying with FA then you have to boot from another drive to try to repair.  Permissions can run on active boot disk. Run FA before Permissions.
On occasion I have had FA report problems when verifying on my active boot disk and I think it was because files were changing and it was seeing errors that weren't really there.  I frequently verify my active drive (quit all applications) and have it report all-clear so usually I verify the active drive and only verify externally if I see an issue.
On the beachball issue, how long do you let it go before force quit?  Some things just take a long time to process, and smartlists can be a pretty heavy demand in iTunes.

  • Transferring downloaded songs from the internet

I use 360share downloads to download some songs off the net and they are stored in itunes in there own little folder with a blue music symbol icon to represent it. I can see the songs and play them but I don't know how to get the songs to the library so I can download them to my ipod. I have done this using the same program before but it was a fluke and I have no idea how to do it again.

Just open Itunes and add the folder containing the songs to the Itunes library. File, Add Folder.

  • Why do I get the beach ball, and other weird behavior, while downloading songs from the cloud?

I created a smart playlist to filter out my matched and purchased songs that were less than 256kbps.  I then "select all" (or do them in small chunks this way) and delete the tracks, move them to trash (not from icloud) and then select all again and download the better quality versions.
Many, many times it runs fine for a bunch of tracks and then all of a sudden it locks up with the beachball.
I've had to re-start my mac a few times.  Three times I've had it treat me like this was the first time I've opened itunes.  Had to accept the licensing agreement and re-start itunes match.  Other times it did not make me do this all over again.
Based on stuff I read on the boards I tried deleting the itunes preference file in my user library.  Hasn't stopped the beach ball.
I don't understand why it runs for a bunch of tracks and then just locks up.
Maybe I'm not removing all of the plist files I should but I thought so.
    Any advice?
    Thanks.

  • I've had a recent issue with downloading songs from the store, and they won't show up in my iTunes library, only in my purchased playlist. Anyone know how to get recent purchases to show in the music library?

Am i the only one with this issue?

when you play the CD in your laptop on your home screen a Cd should pop up under the name of the album. Than when you open itunes it will probly say something like "let this CD download" or something like that. If it doesn't than automaticlly while the CD is importing to your itunes a page will pop up with a progess of the CD download.
    Hope that helped.

  • Whenever I try to download songs from iTunes store I get an error message

I just got my Ipod and when I tried to download songs from the iTunes store I just got an error message, but it took my money. A sample message read,
"There was a problem downloading 'I Walk the Line/ With His Hot and Blue Guitar/ Johnny Cash"
The file seems to be corrupted. To redownload file, choose "Check for Purchases" from the Store menu.
I tried the "Check for Purchases" several times, but I just got the same message. I then went to the Downloads menu/page where another message was displayed under Status,
zero KB of 2.6 MB - stopped (err = -100008)
Please help me. I don't want to have wasted my money for nothing.

    Hi ...
    Might be a Wi-Fi issue...
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    Now restart the iPad.
Restart your device: Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears.  Slide to power off.  After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on.

  • Downloaded song from cloud. Icon changed from cloud to downloaded

I downloaded one of my purchased songs to my computer. The cloud icon disappeared from next to the track. The song accidentally got deleted. Went to the purchased section of iTunes and the song had "Downloaded" next to it instead of the cloud icon that was next to the remaining non-downloaded songs from the album. I can't re-download the song and it also doesn't play from the cloud anymore. Any suggestions on how to get access to the song again?

Thanks for your prompt reply. I did all of that, but it says another user/password is required to play the song. I know that user and he probably did indeed download the song on to my MAC when he was here.
So I checked, and there are other songs he downloaded but they do not flag the user/password requirement.
What I don't understand is how I was able to play the song in question from my library and subsequently download it onto my ipod with no problems until yesterday.
    Again, what changed?

  • I recently downloaded an album from Amazon (a gift) directly to iTunes.  I also recently pruchased a song from the iTunes store.  In both cases, the songs in the album appear in a lighter print on my iPod and won't play when selected.  Will play on comput

I recently downloaded an album (a gift) from Amazon, one option of which is to download directly to my iTunes library (which is what I did).  I also purchased a song from the iTunes store shortly after this.  In both cases, the music shows up on my iPod touch in a lighter print than the other music on my iPod.  When I select it nothing happens.  I only plug into the computer a couple of times a month, but I perform all updates as are indicated and I synch my iPod.  Note that when I have iTunes up on my computer, the music WILL play directly from the library, just not on the iPod.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

    Hello zayasva
I would delete the songs and download them again, or plug it into iTunes to resync them back on.
