Downloading songs to new computer

Good morning!
Does anyone know how to download/transfer songs from my ipod to a new computer? All the songs are on my old computer and I don't know how to transfer to the new pc. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks!
Butte

You can't sync your music back from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the files from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.

YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
PodUtil Mac and Windows Versions
iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
PodPlayer Windows Only
iGadget Windows Only

  • HT3951 Downloaded songs to new computer, had errors, can't re-download them.

I bought a computer and downloaded all my previous purchases. 3 errors occurred. Now I have the songslisted in my library but I can't play 3 songs. Nor can I download them: itunes thinks I have them and won't let me re-download 'em or even delete them so I can try again. What to do?

Like I said, I tried to delete those songs from my library.  They won't delete.  I try right-clicking and click delete, and nothing happens. I see no delete button... how do you suggest doing it?

Well, my old computer got replaced years ago without saving hard drive info or passwords and my iPod burnt out years ago and will not activate. • Is it possible to download songs from another computer?

I have a new ipod shuffle that i just got it recently. I dont have internet connection currently because I'm travelling. Is it possible to download songs from another computer. My main computer would be my laptop.

Yes but it would probably overwrite the songs currently on your iPod when it syncs to the new computer.

  • How can i download songs in another computer that is not register my ipod?

    Hello Decu90,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post I understand that you need to sync your iPod nano with a new computer.  To learn how to sync songs to your iPod, please take a look at the article below.

  • My computer died, trying to download CS5 onto new computer. It is not accepting my serial no.

I had photoshop on my computer which is now completely dead.  Plus I have photoshop on one other computer.
I am not able to get my serial no. to be accepted on my download from the following site.
    https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-product-downloads.html
here I found 2 files that I was to download.  I was told by the forum that I should put these into a single file and click on the exec. file to get it started. This worked.  However, I could not find the photoshop cs5 that I am familiar with.  Because I wasn't able to get my serial no. to work, I signed up for the trial but it didn't have all the range of tools and the program looked unfamiliar..  So my other question is:  which file was I supposed to download in order to get it to work?
    in summary:
1.serial no. won't work on the download
2.my new computer doesn't have a dvd writer and Download looks unfamiliar with only a few tools.
If I purchase a DVD writer, would my disc be usable with the serial no.?
thanks in advance for any help!

Thank you for your reply.  It is helpful, but not completely so.  I was super careful with the download, but not being a computer person, there was not enough information at a beginner level.  After spending literally hours with various chat people, I was given a link.  It was indistinct and the woman narrating it was vague in her communication.  It didn't help or cast light on my issue.  In the end I bought a dvd writer.  Wish I had done this earlier on as in no time my disc was installed.

  • Can't download itunes on new computer

I had itunes 11.1 and downloaded the update 11.2 a few weeks ago.
When I tried to open itunes today I got a notification that I had to uninstall and reinstall it.
I tried that several times but can't find the exe file.  When I did a serve I found one and it went through the download.
NOW when I try to open itunes I get a notification that the library can't be read because it was set up with a newer version.  This indicates that the exe file I found was left over from my very first download on this new computer.
I deleted everything I could find on the computer that had to do with apple but I still can't complete the download of 11.2
I have closed the computer entirely and rebooted but still can't complete the download.
I want to transfer my music from my iphone 5 to this new computer and I'm really frustrated.

    Hi truckerdude40!
You may have some previous iTunes software still on your computer that would be preventing you from installing or launching the new version of iTunes. Here is an article that will help you completely uninstall iTunes and all related components:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

And here is the link that will help you download iTunes again once you have completed the uninstallation:

If you no longer have the old computer this will be very helpful and If you have other content - apps, books, movies, that you want to transfer to the iTunes library - you need to transfer your purchases from the iPod to the computer as well.
    Take a look.

This works the same way whether you have a Mac or a PC.

    If not, what to do?

    Hello Nahuali
The music will be there once you sign in with your Apple ID that used for purchases. Check out the article below to know the steps on how to make that happen.

  • CS4 will not download for my new computer

I chatted with Adobe twice and they told me to come here for help. I got to the link to download CS4 and the download started and didn't go very far. I just stopped downloading and I didn't get an error message.

I was able to download to my new computer. How do I load it from here? I double clicked the read box icon and another window opened with folders and another red box icon labeled setup. I double clicked the setup and a window, as shown, opened said it from an unidentified developer. How do I install?

EVERYTIME I OPEN ITUNES, IT TRIES TO DOWNLOAD SONGS TO MY COMPUTER AND THEN CRASHES AFTER A FEW MINUTES OR LESS.

Are you using a proxy? I find that when I'm at office network, which forces the use of proxy, my iTunes crash a lot of times, particularly when it's tryng to connect over the internet. But at home or other public wifi thet doesn't use proxy, it'll run just fine.
