Downloading spreadsheet to iTunes
One of my spreadsheets gives an error message when trying to down load to iTunes as an excel format. Any ideas?
Jaxjason, thanks for your interest in my problem. After building or editing a spreadsheet on iPad in numbers I download (share) the spreadsheet to my windows PC in order to save it. I am doing this through the share/print function in numbers. This has always been a seamless process with the exception of this time. This spread sheet will download in numbers and PDF but gives the error message in excel. This spreadsheet has downloaded fine in the past so I'm sure I've done something to change it.

It is not in the iTunes.app on your iPad.. It is copied into the iwork app itself ( they have hidden "document" folders ) , so that iTunes on your PC/Mac "knows" there is a file to share whenever the device is connected.

Wifi as well as Cable, no matter what method you prefer. But the files does not auto-transfer to iTunes on your Mac/PC. You need to look into the "apps" section within iTunes, at the lower part all the apps are listed that support files import/export . Files you saved "to iTunes" will appear in the listed apps. You can then save the file to your Mac/PC - to whatever folder you like. Vice versa you can "add files" to the apps, and then on your iOS device open them again via the "open from iTunes" dialog.
Don't be fooled by the "Itunes" naming - iTunes used this way acts as a file manager.

to create a copy on your Mac/PC in either pdf, ms office or mac iwork formats. For whatever reasons you like.
This iTunes procedure was the only one to get files out of iOS apps before the cloud appeared. You have to know that Apple restricts files and folders in iOS. It is a locked down system. Apps can't freely share files between them or to the OS . So this iTunes sharing is the only official allowed way ( also technically unless you "jailbreak" )
iCloud is easier and supposed to replace this rather clumsy sharing stuff.. you would store your documents automatically to the cloud and on PC/Mac you simply navigate to www.icloud.com/iwork and can download them in the format you want to your Office Computer.. BUT .. iTunes "old school" is RELIABLE.. iCloud is not ( yet ) -

My iPhone 3Gs is now no longer a recognised device on iTunes after I downloaded the new iTunes with iCloud software, but it does recognise my iPad2??
I run both Mac and a PC and have iTunes on both, which has previously recognised my iPhone. I had updated my Mac with the new iTunes software with iCloud and updated my iPad2 just yesterday. I then wanted to do the same with my iPhone today, but my Mac wouldn't recognise the device so I tried it on my PC, which recognised the phone but told me I needed to update my iTunes and this in turn wanted to update my iPhone software. After completing all this and restarting, my iPhone now shows the iTunes icon with the USB plug pointing towards it, obviously wanting me to plug it in to my computer to re-connect with iTunes, but now neither of my computers recognise my iPhone and my PC states an 'Unknown Device'. My Mac doesn't even see it. Can anyone help as I really need to get my phone working?? ThanksHold down the Home and Power button for 20 seconds. And try to update again.

How do you remove voice memos from the iPod after downloading it to iTunes?
first of all, which model of voice recorder is best for the 5G video 30 gb iPod? I have heard of Griffin iTalk and Belkin Universal Microphone Adapter, but i'm leaning towards the iTalk b'c it looks cheaper on Amazon and eBay. does anyone suggest anything along those lines?
and also, after recording voice memos (like class lectures and such) onto the iPod and downloading them to iTunes, how do i remove them from the iPod? do i have to make them a different program file (like windows media player, and not iTunes)?

I have 100's of CDs that I have downloaded to my itunes library and they are in the library playable but they do not show up in the C drive under the iTunes Music folder under users. Why are they in the libary and not in the itunes music folder. Win 7 OS. When I look in the library under the get info screen it says they are in the folder itunes music, under the c: drive but when I actually go to that folder to look for them they are not there....HELP!

What country are you in ? Depending upon what country that you are in then you might be able to redownload them on your Mac's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the iTunes store homepage
If you're not in a country where TV programmes can be redownloaded then connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and use the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over from your iPad -

You can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:

Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from

After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else. -

I can't figure out how to sync my songs I downloaded to my itunes?
I downloaded songs to itunes on my computer. I can't figure out how to sync them to my ipod. It says to click devices and pull up my ipod, but there is no "devices" listed, though I have registered, etc.?
Connect your iPod to the computer with the provided cable.
Open up iTunes.
You should see your iPod in the Device list.
Click on it.
Choose what you want to sync to your iPod and then click Sync. -
