Downloading stops when uploading
Hi,Weird problem here.When I upload a file (in this case a 30Mb file to Google Play Books), all clients on my LAN (wired or wireless) lose connectivity to the internet until the upload is cancelled or completes. I have tried this with different laptops and IE, Firefox and Chrome.I have rebooted the router and the issue remains.If I run a constant Ping, I see time increase from 15ms to 670ms, then eventually it starts dropping and all systems lose connectivity to the Internet. Any ideas as to what the issue could be? Uploading files that are large can be a little problematic on an ADSL2+ connection because the throughput is low, for a 30MB file it should take only about 30 seconds on your connection, but during that period it'll completely bottleneck the upstream. And this will effect downstream because there is no upstream bandwidth remaining to acknowledge the data packets.
I noticed this during a period that I uploaded large files to google play, and the only way it was workable was to restrict the upstream bandwidth for google play music, and then the connection was usable during the periods in question. This you're unable to do with google play books, unfortunately.
This isn't much help to you, but is a fact in relation to your problem, unfortunately. So if you can restrict the upstream bandwidth for some of those applications concerned, then do so and it'll solve the problem.
If it's taking longer than a second to upload each 1MB of book data approximately then there is a problem with your upstream connection, for other cases try restricting the bandwidth upstream if the application has such a setting.

You are attempting to download the picture to your computer not uploading photo to the website if I am understanding you correctly.
To change the download direction, you must do so through your browser's Preferences. If you are using Safari, hopefully, someone who uses Safari will help you and/or post over in their forums. I do not use Safari.

IPod stops when im half way through uploading my songs

My iPod keeps stopping when i download songs to it
I first had a problem with downloading music to my ipod because it said that there was a corruption, so I format my ipod and then I start having a bunch of other programs installing the software but I fixed that. Now when I update songs on to my iPod is says that "the disk could not be read from or written to." I can load songs but when this happens the downloading stop and I have to restart it. Does anyone know how to fix my problem? This is on a PC btw.

I downloaded a full cd album from iTunes it said it had been downloaded but when I listened to them it only played a small part of each song then it stopped. What do i do? I don't want to have to download them again. Thanks
Other people have been having similar problems with songs over a number of days, I assume that there has been a problem with Apple's servers.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link. -

I spent ages renaming and sorting my holiday photos in correct order but when uploaded to print they reverted to the original name and order? How can I stop this happening?
When you "rename" a photo in iPhoto you're adding a Title to the shot, not renaming the file. This si quite standard metadata in photography, but it appars that it's getting lost in the upload/at Snapfish process.
You can use the Titles as filenames if you export using the File -> Export command. It's one of the options in the export dialogue. You can upload the exported items.

I am receiving error 50 message when I try to download movie and download stops. Can anyone help?
Ipod Touch is receiving Error 50 message when trying to download movie. The download stops and is unsucessful. Followed techs instructions and deleted .tmp file from computer/cdrive/users/"computer name"/mymusic/itunes/media/downloads but same error keeps returning.

Since downloading Firefox when I go on the Internet Internet Explorer pops up with a message - IE cannot open the webpage - Favorit. I have tried everything but cannot stop this happening. Any suggestions? Thanks. I am running Vista.
The exact same things happend to me!! how frustrating! ive reinstalld it soooo many times and quicktime seperatly too as i have had so many different error messages including something to do with quicktime, i dont know what to do but as you said my ipod is useless with out itunes! if anyone works this out let us know! thanks alot x

Somehow I received a free movie which I didn't want. It started to download automatically when I opened iTunes. I don't want it to download and can't stop it. I have other cds that I would like to download but this movie is in the way. Help
it's best to just let it download, then delete once it is on your computer.

What to do when Lion download stops because of power failure?
Please, can anybody advise: what to do when Mac OS X v10.7 Lion download stops, because of interruption of power supply?
I would first try reinstalling your backup copy of your previous OSX version if you can and then try reinitiating the installation of Lion from there. However, if that doesn't work at all, then the stoppage of the download by the power failure most likely corrupted your harddrive. I myself would then take the safest course and reformat the harddrive by booting from your Original Installation Disks and reformatting the harddrive from the Disk's "Disk Utility". Then go thru the installation of the previous operating system to the point where you can once again proceed with the download and installation of Lion.

My ITunes won't open! HELP PLEASE
So I click on the icon, and there's no error message or anything, it just won't open. I have tried all of the troubleshooting on the site, and I've re-downloaded, restarted my computer, everything, I've also tried opening it from the start menu.. wha
