Downloading text attachments that are sent as inline
Every time I receive a text attachment (eg .txt, .csv, etc) from someone sending from Windows (outlook or thunderbird) it is displayed in Mac Mail as inline text. When I look at the raw source, the files have "Content-Disposition: inline;" which, while displaying inline, should still be shown in the list of attached files (ie, under "Reply-To"), but isn't. I have searched and can't find any settings that allow me to save the attachment.
What can I do (besides telling the client to re-send the file inside a zip, for example)? The files have formatting that is lost when just copying and pasting.
Did you also confirm if the sender used HTML for message composition since it sounds like the sender used HTML and the attachments are embedded?
Embedded attachments are not true attachments to the message.

I can no longer open any attachments that are sent to me. I click on and get cannot preview (but have had this for ages). I am clicking on download and nothing happens. It does not download. Stop sharing an Apple ID. That is the cause.

You need an app that you can use the Open In function and save the file into that is compatible with Word files like Pages, Smart Office and now Mocrosoft has a Word App for the iPad. It is a read only version unless you subscribe to. Office 365, as far as I know anyway, but it is free and you can save the file to the app.
Search the App Store for other alternatives. -
My husband and I have both downloaded the new IOS 8.2 and now he is getting my text messages that are only addressed to me. He has a 5 and I have a 6. It is like we are synced together. How can I fix that?
Is he getting your SMS messages (green) or your iMessages (blue). If SMS message, go to Settings>Messages and turn off Text Forwarding. If blue, are you sharing an Apple ID? You should each have your own.

What is going on??? Since I updated my iPhone 4s to iOS 6 all messages that are sent to my phone from another iPhone user also get sent to my daughters iPhone 4. And she can receive my text but cannot reply to me.

It's not quite that. It is saying it's an MOV file which, although it is read by iTunes on the Mac, cannot be played by the iPhone. It's slightly confusing as I downloaded it off the iTunes store. Do you think this can be remedied? Or refunded?

Alll I can say is try to reset your iphone like, taking out the sims card. ALso try loging out of your Facetime and your email on your phone, telll me if that works, and did you try connecting Apple Support Team?

iMessages are sent using Apple servers, using either WiFi or Cellular data. They can only be sent to/from iDevices or Macs that have the Messages app. SMS messages use the cellular network. Both methods can deliver the message to the recipient.

I would like to use GarageBand to remaster downloaded music files that are in iTunes. Poorly mastered files keep clipping and damaging my speakers. When I try to use an iTunes file as a new project, it greys out the iTunes songs so I can't select them. Any ideas?
As I said - look whether your original file is damaged or not. If not, I wouldn't change it and find out what in your system makes it sound like it's clipping.
Good sound file, with volume maxed out. No need to change anything.

I recently purchased an Iphone 6plus and I am receiving pdf attachments that are shown as winmail.dat attachments on the iphone. When I check the same e-mail on my macbook pro the attachment is a pdf and I can open it. Why is this happening?
I had this problem too after i upgdatd to OS X Mavericks... only the songs on my iphone 5s that i purchased from itunes would play.
i read something about it being a syncing issue. when you plug your phone into your computer with the usb cable, the person said to switch from automatic syncing of itunes to the "manual" option. mine was already set to manual so i wasn't sure anything would work. BUT, when i plugged my phone into my computer, it started to sync all of my music on my phone again (top of itunes bar where song playing/time is listed said "now syncing 123/534 songs to x's iphone"). once that was completed, i checked the music app on my iphone and everything was back to normal!
so, i would suggest setting your music syncing settings to manual if you haven't tried that yet!
