Downloading the Service pack 4

It used to be a very simple thing to download service packs. Not anymore. I download the Xcelsius SP4 Enterprise, extract it and get a file which cannot be opened by any software I have. Why complicate things?
Does anyone know how to do this? My expertise lies in a different field than messing with software.
Thanks for any help.

There are two ways to download software:
Either download single files by clicking on the hyperlinked name of the file ("Download Object")
Or use Download Manager to download multiple files at once or to schedule downloads for a later time.
Goto service market place -->softwared downloads -->Collect files  and add to download basket .
Open Download Manager on your PC and schedule the download.
If You donot have access to service market place contact you basis team and ask them to install the software.

    Hi experts,
I have one doubt about upgration of the service packs. How to upgrate one sevice pack to another one . Is there any  process to this.

    hi
You need to first download the service packs for the particular product from the service market place. Service packs offer solution to the bugs in the product which was released earlier. So each version may have inturn have many service packs released.
First of all before upgrade you need to know which version and service pack you are right now. Then accordingly you can download the desired files by giving the target SP and current SP. There are suitable upgradation documents available in market place reading upon which you can install Portal or WAS.

  • Could you please confirm that the Service Pack 3 will install on SQL Express 2008 R2 SP2 With Advanced Services.

We are using SQL server  Express 2008 R2 SP2 With Advanced Services. Its a 64 bit server. We want to Patch Service Pack 3 On express edition. Could you please
tell us whether  the Service Pack 3 will install on SQL Express 2008 R2 SP2 With Advanced Services or not
Could you please suggest me on this.
    Sainath Kompelly

No, you cannot install SP3 on Express edition as Microsoft did not release it for Express Edition as noted here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlreleaseservices/archive/2014/09/26/sql-server-2008-r2-service-pack-3-has-released.aspx.
You can see that Express edition is missing from the list of supported editions in the details section here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44271

  • How to have clients download a service pack to local machine but delay install until management gives approval for install.

I am looking to update all of our office products to the latest service pack. The service packs have to be pushed out to roughly 6000 machines. I am still waiting on approval for the installation which I know is coming but
it has to be routed through the proper channels.   What I am trying to do push  the service pack out ahead of time but not install it until I get the green light from management. Is this possible?

Sure. two things come to mind...
    1. Create a package that contains the SP files and a bat file that would copy the SP files to a temp folder. Run that package. When you get the green light run a second package that has no source files, it simply runs the install command from the prestaged
    location.
    2. Using software updates... This will be a bit more tricky because users may see notifications about the update. Just be careful to hide those. Updates begin downloading at the avaiable time.

You need to make sure you have associated your websupport login with the
e-support login. This is a one time process. Once you do that you should
see the link on the main page when you login to e-support.

  • Authentification when I want to download the driver pack for Equium L40

I already registered my laptop for the warranty, and i have a user name and password, but it seems that i need to register at that specific site from which I'm trying to download and that is a different page on which I didn't found any registration button. The driver pack I'm talking about it's for an Equium L40 10Z laptop. Any ideas ?
    Message was edited by: mnemonik

No panic dude... it looks like a driver server issue.
I have read in this forum that some routine maintenance must be done.
I would recommend checking the driver page in next few days.

  • To know the Service Pack???

    Hi Experts,
How do we know that on which service pack the portal server is running?
I mean to say, i would like to know my portal server is running on which service pack whether it is SP 10 or SP 12?
    Thanks,
    Satya

    Hi,
Go to: http://<server>:<port>/index.html and Select "System Information".
Alternatively you can go directly to: http://<server>:<port>/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo
    Login with an admin user.
Under Software Components section look for:
    sap.com/SAP-JEECOR
    sap.com/SAP-JEE
It will look something like that: 7.00 SP9 (1000.7.00.9.10.20070109115800)
Meaning: Version 7.0, SP9, Patch level 10, Build number 20070109115800 in this case.
    Hope it helps,
    Roy

  • Where can i download the jam packs?

i really need to find these jam packs.

You need to buy them; they cannot be downloaded for free.
The cheapest way to get the JamPacks is to buy MainStage 2 from the App Store ($30). This will install all JamPacks for GarageBand as well - much more economic than buying them separately as boxed retail version - they used to be sold for  ($500).

  • Check the service pack applied

I am new to WebLogic stuff. For our application running, I heard that it has Weblogic SP5 applied but I don't know if it is the case.
Would there be any methods to check if such SP has been applied? If not, just if I need to upgrade the SP from a lower version, would there be any documentation I can take as reference? Thanks in advance!

Log into the "Weblogic Admin Console" using username/passwd and Click the "Console" located on the Top left side of the screen and then click the "Versions" tab to check the WebLogic version u are using. There are several methods to find out what version of WebLogic u are using. This is one of them.
