Downloading timeout when installing flash player 11? I have a new MacBook Pro. I have OS 10.8.2. I cannot get FlashPlayer to download. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Flash Player 11 from the Adobe website. Doesn't work. Every time I try to download, I get an error message that says "downloading timeout at 47%" Can someone PLEASE help? I've spent hours with this and am very frustrated.Check if Flash Player is installed on your computer on adobe website: blocked plug-in

Error message when installing Flash Player : List of actions not found
I get an error message when trying to install Flash Player.
I use Windows 64 bit with Internet Explorer 64x.
I'm able to download, the installation starts but it stops before completing.
I get this error message (loosely transalated) :

How can I fix this ?

The network security at work prevented me from completing installation.

This is a security setting on your system that is resulting in this behaviour, not Flash Player installer itself, or anything with the installer. There are many Google search results on this. The first hit I got, was the following from the Microsoft forums:
To unblock a software publisher:
1. In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
2. Go to the Content tab, Look under the Certificates section.
3. Click on Publishers button.
4. Select the Untrusted Publishers tab.
5. Select the Publisher you wish to unblock and click the Remove button.

Hello everyone. We are trying to deploy Flash Player 11.5.502.149 and are receiving 2 error messages and are not able to figure out why this is happening. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated:
Error 2753.The File 'InstallAX.exe' is not marked for installation.
Error 1722.There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action NewCustomAction1, location: C:\Windows\TEMP\InstallAX_11_5_502_149.exe, command: -install -msi

Adobe Download Manager will not install when installing Flash Player
I recieve the following error after selecting to install the Active X ADM install.
I am running Windows XP Professional and Internet Explorer 7.
Any thoughts?Hi J, Unless you think there is some reason you need the DLM or GetPlus, I would suggest you Remove them from Add/Remove. Both of those are causing problems. You don't need them to uninstall/install Flash Player. Reboot after
removing them and then use the following links to Uninstall/Install.
Download and put the Uninstaller on your Desktop http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Download and SAVE this Installer to your Desktop http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
Read over the Uninstall instructions and be sure to follow the last 2 NOTES. Check your security settings and the Anti-Virus info-Norton. You don't want any Flash programs running while Uninstalling, so this would be your Anti-Virus/Spyware that runs in realtime; also check the system tray. Since you don't want to Disable your Security while online, disconnect from the Internet after you have the Uninstaller and Installer on your Desktop. When you are off line
then Disable the Firewall as well as any Anti-Virus/Spyware. Then Run the Uninstaller, Reboot & follow that last NOTE per the Uninstall instructions. Then Run the Installer, Reboot. You'll need to install Flash Player 10.3.183.90, the last version supported for OS X 10.5.8. Download the archive zip file, http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp_10.3.183.90_archive.z ip, and extract the contents. Then navigate inside the 10_3_r183_90 directory and use the file named flashplayer_10_3r183_90_mac_intel.dmg.

I keep getting the "getPlus R has stopped working" message when trying to install Flash Player 10. I use Vista and the anti virus software is Panda. I ve already closed the anti vius protection. I tried to install the Flash player for IE and Firefox but both are not working.

now close all browser windows and run the downloaded uninstaller;
reboot Windows;

Registry problems when installing Flash Player
Hi, first of all, sorry for any misspelling, I'm Argentinian . I'm writing here because I've tried a LOT of ways and solutions to install Flash Player for IE, here some facts:
I mostly use Google Chrome, that has the FP already installed, but i have a problem with the ActiveX control, I can install Flash player 11 for windows but Not ActiveX... i read that that's a tool for IE, so i thought i wouldn't be needing it, but when i tried to execute a program (Game Ranger) it said that i needed ActiveX control and that i didn't have it in my computer.. So i started to check for solutions, etc etc. and finally give it up because i just couldn't do it, but well now I started again because I want to know if it's something important to have..
The problem when installing is this: It starts to download Flash Player.. then install it and when it's in 51% it stops and a message appears saying: registry error. this is what happens when I try to install ActiveX, not Flash Player itself because as I said earlier I can install it...
All I want to know is if there's some way to allow Flash Player installation to change registry values.. because i think that's the main problem.. i think. Thank you for reading.

NPSWF32.dll error when installing flash player
I've been trying to install flash player but I keep getting the same error when I try:
Error opening file for writing C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\NPSWF32.dll
When I ignore that one I get another error
Error opening file for writing C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe
and then when I ignore this it 'finishes downloading', but it's basically useless and does not work. I went to the location above to see if I could find the file- NPSWF32.dll, but it's not there. There is a macromed and Flash folder but it is empty inside. I downloaded the NPSWF32.dll and tried to put it in the flash folder but the system wouldn't let me. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I keep getting the same error. it is driving me insane, please help me if you are familiar with this problem. i googled this and saw that a lot of people had this problem as well but i've yet to find a working solution. I'm on windows vista and im using 3.6 firefox.Hi , The files you are speaking of are removed with the Adobe Uninstaller and then the Installer will install the needed

Since I don't know what add ons, extensions or plugins you have, Just disable them all for now.
Follow the instructions for the Uninstaller, close all browsers, check the system tray. No programs that use Flash should
be running.
Disconnect from the Internet
Disable any and all Anti-Virus/Spyware programs that run in realtime.
Disable any Firewall that you use, except Windows Firewall
Run the Uninstaller from your Desktop, then Reboot. Wait until fully Rebooted, then Reboot again
Run the Installer from your Desktop, then Reboot
Enable your Firewall and your Anti-Virus/Spyware programs
Connect back to the Internet
Go to this Adobe test site to confirm you have the FP vs 10.0.42.34 installed http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about
Go to your plugins and make sure you have SWF(Shockwave Flash) vs 10.0.42.34 there and it is Enabled
Enable Java-the latest is JRE 6 update 18.
Then check your Flash folder and post back with the files that are now installed.
Now if you have old versions of Java installed(check the Add/Remove) you would need to Remove them via Add/Remove
and install the latest Java. NOTE: You can do this prior to the Uninstall/Install process. Post back and I'll give you the Java install procedure.

Error 0x6BA when installing Flash Player 11.4.402.287
I am deploying Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.287 via an .msi file to a number of computers running Windows XP, Vista, and 7.
In all cases, Flash Player installs properly on the PCs. In a few cases, the installation reports an error 0x6BA.
I have already tried running SubInACL to reset permissions. This does not appear to have resolved the issue.
Here are my questions:
1) What does error 0x6BA mean?
2) Why am I receiving this error, even when Adobe Flash Player has installed successfully?
3) Why do I not see the 0x6BA error in the FlashInstall.log file? Is this error logged in some other file?I do not see any error or warning in the FlashInstall.log files on my PC. Here is the output for you to review:

Error 0x6BA when installing Flash Player 11.3.300.270
I am deploying Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.270 via an .msi file to a number of computers running Windows XP, Vista, and 7.
In all cases, Flash Player installs properly on the PCs. In a few cases, the installation reports an error 0x6BA.
