Downloading Trial Version of Adobe Acrobat XI

I downloaded my trial version of Adobe Acrobat xi and cannot run it because it keeps asking for a serial number.  What do I do? Where can I get a serial number?

Is there a "continue trial" type of option provided anywhere?
You only need a serial number to activate it after purchasing it, not for the trial version.  If it is indicating that the trial has already been used and you never installed the trial before, there are circumstancxes when that can happen and there is no way to fix it.

    There is no serial number and you don't need one. What you need for a subscription is to SIGN IN within Acrobat, so it knows the subscriptions you own.

    Unfortunately, what you describe isn't a common problem. It is pretty surprising, but hopefully it's a simple as clicking or pressing the wrong thing. So, to find this out we need to know, step by step, at the most basic level, what you click or type EXACTLY and what you see. That should let us get to the cause.

    What each trial version would continue to do, if I'm not mistaken, is that the popup of the trial version information offering a purchase option of the full version would continue to appear at scheduled intervals.

  • Cannot completely uninstalled trial version of Adobe Acrobat Professional 9

    Hi,
    I've downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 as a 30-day trial. When 15 days or so have passed, I've decided to discontinue my use and uninstalled the trial version via Control Panel - Programs and Features. However the program refuses to go away. When I install Acrobat Reader 9 it tells me that I already have Adobe Acrobat Pro and should decide to choose one as the default PDF file-handler. Now once in a while when I open a PDF file the Pro trial window would pop-up and ask me to enter a key or choose the trial version. When I choose the trial version it then says that an error has occurred when loading the trial information, or something like that.
    I've looked for the Pro folder/files throughout my computer and found nothing. I've tried Microsoft's Windows Install Clean Up utility and removed Pro from the program list there, however that did not change anything. I still get the trial pop-up and the error message that follows (see attachments).
    Any thoughts?

    If the executable is removed, then it is not possible to run it anymore.  Therefore the uninstall did not really remove everything.
    Can you check if there is anything left in Program Files\Common Files\Adobe?
    If you really cannot find what's running, try Process Monitor from Sysinternals to see what's running when you open a PDF file.

    By mistake, I downloaded the trail version of regular Adobe Acrobat XI Pro not the student rate.  I tried to download the student trial Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and it is telling me that the same versin already exists. I ask to replace it, but give me an eroor again. how could I install the student trial version since I already paid for it and would like to use it immediately?

    Would you mind providing more detail? You mention the 'Trial' version of Acrobat XI Pro. It is free for 30 days and does not ask you to pay anything unless you decide to after the end of 30 days.
    At the end of the trial period you are welcome to purchase the student version.

    I installed a trial version Adobe Acrobat Pro from the Creative Cloud list on my Mac Pro 10.7.5. First, although I was supposed to have a 30 day free trial, it expired immediately. Worse, every time I try to open my former Adober Acrobat, I get prompted to buy a yearly subscription to Acrobat pro and cannot use my older version. I have tried various ways to uninstall the Acrobat Pro version and to get back to normal, with no success. Anyone out there to help or must I spend money on an international call to ask Adobe what to do? It seems that they have shut down their "chat" service. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.     I have installed Adobe Acrobst Pro V9 a total of 3 times now, being careful to ensure that I select "Install Trial Version" each time.
    However, every time I open the programme it requests a serial number and I cannot get past this stage.
    I did also download a trial version in 2008/2009 but deleted it within the 30 day period.

    You can always print the form and then use your word processor to place the information where it needs to go. It is an iterative process, but it is the way I used to fill out monthly reports in a DOS world. It was faster than using a typewriter back then, at least after I setup the template. It may be they expect the form to be filled out by typewriter (few have one any more - just folks like me) or by hand. In the latter case, be careful to print clearly.

Since the download of the trial, my printer will print any other types of files (Word, excel, etc.), but not anything that has to do with Adobe. Please help!
