DOWNLOADING TROUBLE FROM HVX2OO TO FCP6

Hi there!!!
I am trying to connect my HVX200(NTSC) to FCP 6.0(IMAC 2.8 4GBRAM) and it won't recognize it. iMovie didn't recognize it either, but iChat did.
I am connecting it through firewire to download the footage from the mini-dv tape.
Help is needed A.S.A.P.!!!

Shut everything off, and unplug the firewire cable from both the camera and the Mac; let everything sit for a few minutes.
Now, connect the firewire cable at both ends, and turn on your camera first; make sure it is set to play out your tape in the proper format.
Turn on the Mac, and launch FCP. Close any projects that open with it.
Next, go to Easy Setups in the FCP menu; choose the one that matches the footage you shot.
Next, open a new project.
Now, hit command/8 to open Log and Capture (and scratch disk, if you haven't already done that).
Your capture and device control settings should be correct, from the Easy Setup you just did.
You should now be able to control your camera from FCP, and begin to capture your tape.

What type of file? From what site? What Apps have you downloaded for it?

Looking up your camera online, I found it is capable of 1920 x 1080 Full HD 60p Recording. It's the 60p (60 frames per second Progressive) that's the problem I think. iMovie '11 will do 60i (Interlaced). You might need to convert it from the format the camera currently uses into another format to get it into iMovie. Use ClipWrap to rewrap to QuickTime. Import the files. Edit in either 59.94 or 29.97. The latter if you want to use the high frame rate for slomo

Can anyone help with this?

If you have not done so already, I recommend updating Final Cut Pro X to 10.0.5.
And if that doesn't work, download the following applicaton (FREE) and use it to convert your footage to Apple ProRes, or another compatible video coded/format...

What is the detail format of the non-syncing songs?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

What is your connection via speedtest.net ?
Check istumbler or netstumbler to verify network interference
Make sure DNS is set correctly (settings - general - network - configure DNS - automatic)

Trouble downloading dw from creative cloud

I am administrator and keep getting an error message that I need administrative priviledges to download Dreamweaver from Creative Cloud. And then I have to close the error message window. ?????? Does anyone know what is going on here?

Where are you trying to save the download too? Do you have adminstrative privelages? Which operating system are you using? Finally are you on a Managed network?

Trouble downloading anything from Safari!

OK, so here's my problem. Whenever I try to download something from a webpage using Safari or any other web browser, I get an error message in the download window that reads for example: "Safari can't show the file "iPodUpdate2006-01-10.dmg" in the Finder. Safari can't show the file "iPodUpdate2006-01-10.dmg" in the Finder because the file hasn't been created yet." That's just an example, but anything I click that uses that download window comes up with that same message. Please help.

Do you have problems regardless of website or just with specific ones? If the problems only occur with specific pages, could you paste the address in a reply so we can take a look?
What happens if you Option-Click on a file to download it directly?
What other browsers have you tried besides Safari?
What happens if you try downloading from a new user account? To create a new account, open System Preferences and click on Accounts. You may have to click on the padlock and give your admin name and password to create an account. Click on the plus sign in the lower right corner to create the new account. I see no reason to give it a password. You can delete this account later using using the minus key, although I have kept my second account to use for testing (the user folder only takes up 32 kb).

You are in a very dangerous situation and you need to fix it now.
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.

Trouble downloading ebooks from vendor

I am having problems downloading ebooks from a vendor. The problem is the window after I press download button does not come on.
It is a ADE download window that is the last step from the vendor to your computer. When I press download to get the ebook, the download window does not come on from ADE.

I researched this issue and discovered that some library downloads are wma and iPad doesn't use wma.
In my library's website, they actually provide users with a category that specifically lists books that are all iPad-friendly, eliminating the need for me to have to make sure I'm not choosing a wma book.
Also, the library's website should give you the directions on how to do the downloads specifically for iPads - at least it seemed pretty straightforward to me.

Anyone having trouble conisistenly downloading email from comcast server with IOS 5?

My Iphone 4 with IOS 5 just started having issues downloading email from comcast server consistently. It is working, but there is SOMETIMES a delay in download and then it works perfectly other times. Sometimes it tries to download the same 200 emails over and over. Anyone have any ideas? I have already deleted and re-added my email account, reset phone and still not working properly. Apple genius bar thinks it is a comcast issue IOS 5.

Please follow the steps provided here to properly configure your iPhone. This is a quide from another user. I you follow this exactly, the Comcast e-mail account will verify properly, and you will be able to send and receive all of your e-mail without having to create a Gmail account, as previously discussed. You can ignore their comment.

After a few months i connected mi ipod mini to my pc, i downloaded the latest i tunes and the latest firmware for the mini.
Then itunes asked me to restore the mini because of a problem, i did and from then on i had a lot of problems downloading music from i tunes to the mini, the few songs i could transfer were downloaded at a sluggish speed and sometimes a windows message appears saying that there was an error transfering data, maybe because of an hardware or connection error.
And also if i disconnect the mini and then i reconnect it again, itunes prompts me to restore it, givin'me no other options.
The mini worked just fine until now.
Help me please i'm clueless now...

How can i get the downloaded book from another user to my ipad

Hard Drive: The Hard Drive is on my camera (Sony Handycam)
Just needed some info on what is going on with your particular system.
Knowing the exact camera model will also assist us.
If this camera is standard AVCHD you should be able to connect with USB to Mac with FCE open and use Log and Transfer without all the fiddling around converting etc.
What FCE does during ingest is convert files to AIC. (Apple Intermediate Codec)
FCE cannot read the individual files in the BDMV folder, that's why all the converting is required when you use that method.
BTW: regards formatting drives/cards/memory on cameras; it is wise to use the actual device to format rather than a computer. This is a prime cause of read/write goof ups with solid state media. This applies to still or video cameras.
Keeping the COMPLETE card/memory structure in tact is vital for successful transfers.
