Downloading two-page InDesign doc in PDF format

Hi all,
I created a document in the latest version of InDesign on my home computer and uploaded it to the cloud. I am trying to access it on my computer at work (which is significantly older) and it will only allow me to download the CS4 version of InDesign.
This being the case, I can't download that particular file in .indd, but I am okay with just downloading it in .pdf or .jpg.
The problem I am having is that it is a two-page document, but for some reason when I download it in .pdf or .jpg it only downloads the first page.
What am I doing wrong? Or is there a way to even do this? I don't understand why it wouldn't bring down both pages since they are part of the same document.
Help!?

and it is not allowing me to do the things it promised, e.g. saving portions of one pdf to another, combining pages or entire docuements to create, even typing into a document (editing)! I am so frustrated - can someone please help!?

But I jut paid $89.00 for the adobe pack - if I subscribe to Acrobat Plus, will that be credited?

Hi,
Thank you for your subscription. If you are Acrobat Plus subscriber then you can extract the pages from the PDF file using Tools> Pages> Extract pages.
You can find "Tools" at right top once you open your PDF file in Acroat.
If you are subscriber to PDF Pack then please download Acrobat XI Plus from www.adobe.com.
PDF Pack service offers "Convert to PDF", "Export from PDF"(to Word/PowerPoint/Excel/RTF formats so that you can edit the exported files) and "Combine Files" (combine your files into a single PDF file).
Please let me know if you have any quesitons.

How to archive billing docs in PDF format on the application server?

Hi,
I want to archive billing docs in PDF format on the application server.
Formerly on our SAP system, Archivelink was set up to archive these documents to an HTTP content server. Since we no longer have this server, I want to adapt it to simply output the PDFs to a filesystem on the application server. I have tried to reconfigure the content repository (tcode OAC0) without success.
Am I on the right track?
If so, which document area, storage type, etc should I use?

from DMS point of view you may use the storage category 'DMS_C1_ST' and the content repository 'DMS_C1' as a kind of template. The document area for DMS storage categories has to be maintained as 'DMS'.

Istore quote page should show in pdf format when I click on a custom button

Hi everyone,
I have a strange requirment, After I logged into Istore I have added some items to my cart and I am able to see the total quote, here instead of clicking on place order button I have requested for a new button when the user clicks on the button each item and respected price, total details of the quote page should open in pdf format
Can any one help me regarding this ? Did anybody worked on this kind of stuff? any suggestions will be helpful

Use the iText API .Its free.
1.Create another jsp and pass all the values to that jsp. iText will create pdf. Let me know if you need further help.

New problem. Just purchased Docs Go Pro for iPad word processor and there are buttons missing. Then when I go back to the App Store I clicked on app support and up comes server/webpage gone (basically). I Binged and there is not a direct site for support. How or who can be a help?

Layer problem with exporting nested Indesign Doc in indesign doc to PDF

Hi folks,
I managed to create a PDF with very strange layer behavior... even with content that shows when ALL layers are turned off...
Here's how I did it:
- I placed our two page company letterhead indesign document in another Indesign document.
- Both documents have several layers (our company use up to 8 different languages for their corporate papers)
- The document that I exported to PDF, has itself two layers, and the nested Indesign document is exclusively on masterpages in the second layer.
- The nested Document has 4 layers visible, but consists of around 27 layers.
- Turning on the layer that contains the letterhead doc, correctly shows the corporate identity on all pages that are based on the master layers. Turning the layer off hides it. So far, so good.
- I use a PDF preset which renders a PDF with following settings:
- When opening the resulting PDF, the layers of the main document are all there, as one would expect. However, toggling the layers visibility renders a weird result... The document is 4 pages, a usage contract. You can download it from our server via this link. Now if you would toggle the layer visibility of the "letterhead_def actual" layer that is supposed to hold only the corporate identity, you will find that all works correctly for the first two pages... but on the 3rd, all contents seems to have been combined onto the second layer... and on the 4th page, the contents landed on a layer that isn't even listed in the layers panel, as turning ALL the layers off, still leaves the Terms and conditions visible...
This looks like a bug to me... I'm going to try and flatten the nested indesign document first, before I export to PDF to see what that brings, but that is of course quite the hassle.
Would be interested to see if more people have run into this thing...

Contrary to popular belief, I am not a complete moron However, since this problem could just as well be in Acrobat as in Indesign, I thought it best to post it in the Suite forum first.
Of course I could post in both the Indesign as well as the Acrobat forum, but then I'm sure there will be helpful readers suggesting me to put it in the other. One cannot win

Some Two-page Spreads export to PDF/Blurb with Errors

Hi,
I have created a Blurb book in default portrait format.
Some of the two page spreads (sample: first two images in portrait format, third image squared on the top right) do not export correctly. The second image, the one, which will be on both pages, will be slightly smaller on the left page, than on the right page (both on Blurb and PDF export). Sadly, those two page spreads are useless for now
LR4 release versions, no updates available as of now.
Took me just three hours to upload the book and see those same errors in the Blurb preview :/

You can use a multipage importer to import a single Page PDF into InDesign.
Create a single page PDF
Create a facing pages document the same size as your original file
Multi-page place the entire pdf into facing pages (automatically done by script)
Export entire book to PDF as spreads.

I say to do this with a singe pages PDF - because I don't think it will import multiple InDesign files, you'd have to place them individually - and with my experience it takes longer to import multiple indesign files - so I just use a single pages PDF.

How do I convert pages documents into a pdf format?

Many of the poster layouts do not save well as a ".doc" document. The formating gets all screwy. I have only the "pages" option or the ".doc" option for files under the "save as" dropdown. No professional printing services in my area offer the ability to print pages documents. They all recommended converting them to pdf. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Joe.

In OSX you can print anything to pdf ( see PDF button at bottom left of print dialog).
Pages also exports to pdf Menu > File > Export > PDF
However be aware that OSX will convert any transparent objects to low res 72 dpi bitmaps which are not suitable for commercial printers. Also it takes quite a bit of work to ensure that text is not in cmyk.

Safari on iOS only supports uploading of image files from the Photo app. However, there are other browsers available which include document mangement and storage. iCab Mobile is one I use frequently and have had good results with.

Or use the Share menu in Pages and select Word or PDF under the heading “Send via Mail.”
This opens a Mail compose window with the respective file attachment. You would also need to enable the check box for Send Windows-Friendly Attachments. This can be found in the drop down from selecting the paperclip icon in the Mail menubar.
As already stated, the PDF format is platform agnostic and best for cross-platform printing.

u can export the internal table to memory id.
Submit a zreport in background mode.
IN the zreport import the itab and display the itab.
It creates a spool.
Get the spool number and use the FM:
CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF.

Unable to convert DOC to PDF format(IBR)

I have Oracle UCM 11g...
I have configured file formats DOC to be converted to PDF
in file extensions of configuration manager applet.. i have made following changes
set extention doc as application/pdf
& in file format of configuration manager
selected format application/msword to conversion PDF Refinement
in IBR Ive uninstalled OpenOfficeConversion & PDFExportConverter enabled
After making this changes also i'm not able to convert to PDF format.
Any help highly appreciated.

You don't need Acrobat for this at all.
If you select "Print..." there is a "PDF..." button in the lower left corner of the dialog. Click the button and select "Save as PDF..." or you can do "Open in Preview..." and save from there.
OS X has had the ability to generate PDFs since the 10.0 days. The whole graphics infrastructure is based on PDFs. You have no need whatsoever for Acrobat on the machine to do this.

Trying to attach saved doc to email but it shows as greyed out and won't open. If I convert same doc to pdf format it attaches OK. What am I doing wrong?

I'm new Mac user and can't work out why a saved pages doc won't attach to an email. I can see it in Finder and open it in Pages but when I try to attach it shows up in grey and won't open. If I then convert the same doc to pdf it's OK. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your answer. You guess right. I have my personal mail in Apple Mail program but my business account is via Google Apps for work so operates like a gmail account and that's the one I need for attachments. The Pages version I have is 5.2(1860). It would be good to fix if I can without having to make the extra step of pdf conversion. I purchased the computer a week ago and it's OSX 10.9.5 which I guess is the latest version. Should I upgrade to Yosemite? Perhaps that has a later version of Pages? Thanks again. Barbara

Exporting a Pages document into a PDF format

When I export my pages document towards a PFD format, the arrows to my pictures are changing, change color or move. Anybody know why and how to solve this? I tried a the export qualitiy levels and this did not make a difference. The first one is the PDF version and the second one Pages version

How did you create the arrows?
Line with arrow head in Inspector > Graphic?
What color did you apply to the arrows that change color?
Have you applied a shadow to the arrows?
