Downloading xCode interrupted - Now marked as Installed!!

Hi, All. My internet connection interrupted when downloading xCode. Now App Store shows it as Installed with a red mark "An error has occurred". And xCode is not in my application list. How can I redownload it or remove this mark "installed: in App Store so that I could be able to download it again and install it?
Any help would be appreciated.

  • OSX 10.5.8: Should I download Xcode 3.1.4 or install it from the 10.5 DVD?

Hi there. My Hard Drive recently failed and now I need to reinstall Xcode. (Yes, my important data was backed up, thanks for asking!). I have upgraded OSX back to 10.5.8. Should I download and install Xcode 3.1.4 or install Xcode 3.0 from my 10.5 Install DVD?
Just want to be sure before I wait for that 1GB download
    Thanks!

What version xcode were you running before?
Apple’s dev center only links to the latest version of Xcode, which requires Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6.x).
Since you’re running an older OS, you need to go to this alternative developer website:
    http://connect.apple.com/
Log in with your ADC credentials, click “Downloads”, then click “Developer Tools” in the right sidebar, and then search the page for “3.1.4″. You might also want to check the wikipedia list of xcode versions to see if 3.1.4 is still the latest version.

  • Patchadd interrupted - now failing to install patch correctly

I had started a patch installation when one of my kind users compromised the system by filling all available swapspace.
I tried tto get into the system but failed. After about 10 minutes I did - what I should have avoided to do - a control C on the
    unresponsive patchadd command.
The result is that the patch is not committed, but also not removed. The system's response to a patchrm is
    beron# patchrm 127144-03

Loading patches installed on the system...

Checking patches that you specified for removal.

The installation of patch 127144-03 was interrupted.
Patchadd needs to be re-invoked to ensure proper installation of the patch.
    Patchrm is terminating.

And if I intend to do a re-install on the patch itself I get

Any suggestion on what I could do to tidy the system up, would be very welcome.

    The following do not work:
    Apple Bluetooth
    Apple Trackpad
    Apple Keyboard
    Apple Remote (IR Receiver)
I still cannot use the F keys.
Also, OS X does not seem to recognize that I have bootcamp: I cannot select it in the start up disk area. VMWare cannot prepare my Boot Camp partition as a virtual machine. Why am I encountering so many problems?
Edit: Oh and the Built in iSight doesn't work either. Awesome.
You should solve one problem at a time.
If your system does not recognize Windows, don't start playing with VM ware or Parallels. You don't fix something by bypassing it.
If you cannot boot into your Windows partition using bootcamp, that that's the first thing to fix.

  • I've paid $ 3,99 for Xcode for Snow Leopard. Now there is a new Xcode for Lion, so I downloaded the new one but the installed continued to be the old one. Now App Store says "Installed" and don't allow me to re-download Xcode. How can I proceed?

I've paid $ 3,99 for Xcode for Snow Leopard 12 days ago. After installing Lion I saw there is a new FREE Xcode for it, so I downloaded the new one but after installing automatically Xcode for Lion the Developer folder contained the old one. I deleted the old Xcode but the App Store says "Installed" and don't allow me re-download Xcode.
How can I proceed? I'm guessing whether this problem will occur each time I buy an application from App Store.

Yes, that's righ, Xcode installer was in the Apps folder. I assumed it had been automatically installed and the installer deleted after installation (the same way as Lion is installed).
I tried also the procedure for redownloding applications, and MAS showed both Xcodes (Lion and Snow Leopard) and OS X Lion. We see that buttons for Lion and Xcode for Snow Leopard say 'Install' but Xcode for Lion says 'installed' because there is an Install Scode in the Apps folder.
    Thank you.

  • HT202159 how long should an upgrade to Mountain Lion take? Our original download was interrupted by power outage and now seems to be taking forever.

How long should an upgrade to Mountain Lion take? Our original download was interrupted by power outage, it seems to be taking forever.

Update2: There is something very wrong with wireless on mountain lion recovery. I don't know what the problem is, but this link may explain:
    http://osxdaily.com/2012/08/10/os-x-mountain-lion-10-8-1-beta-released-for-dev-t esting-may-include-wi-fi-fix/
Wireless recovery would start out with over 25 hours estimated and kept on failing. It turns out to be a two step process of downloading a few Mbytes then a 4Gbyte .dmg file, but I couldn't even download the Mbyte file. I bought the thunderbolt to gigabit ethernet adapter, plugged it in, restarted recovery and download of a little more than 4Gbytes took less than an hour. My limiting factor was probably comcast home internet rate of 12Mbps. The wi-fi wireless connection should be able to do over 100Mbps, so wireless shouldn't be much slower than wired, except wi-fi wireless is broken. Now that ML is installed and updated, wi-fi seems fine now, as I am using it right now, but I haven't tried downloading a big file yet.
Don't use wi-fi wireless for Mountain Lion recovery.

What upgrade are you trying to install? Your profile shows iOS 5.1.1, which is the current max iOS.

  • Now Mavericks is installed, I cannot access my downloads folder.

Now Mavericks is installed, I cannot access my downloads folder. How do I click on items in the folder and get them to open? When I attempt to click on the items, nothing happens. Before Mavericks, I could click and get the folders to open.  Yes, I have used three different devices to try to click on them, so it is not my mouse/treackpad/Wacom pen. I am getting very frustrated with this new OS - this is not the only thing bothering me.

My OS X 7 Mountain Lion download was interrupted and now I have a Mountain Lion shadow on my doc saying "paused" but I can't seem to restart the download

If the download does not resume, then Quit the App Store app and delete the partial download in your Applications folder. Then you will have to start the download all over again from the "Purchases" section of the App store.

I'm using OS Extended 10.9.5.  I don't know what the original version of iPhoto was.

Have you run the iPhoto Library Upgrader? You need to direct it to the location of your old iPhoto Library by clicking the "Choose Library" button in the lower right corner of the panel you are seeing when the upgrade starts.

    Hi Terri,
I am assuming that you are using a Mac. Update for 17.0.1 have been pulled off the server for Mac(see this - https://blogs.adobe.com/adobeillustrator/2013/11/illustrator-cc-updates-now-available.html
Please uninstall AI CC 17.0.1 & re-install again. You will be back on to the 17.0.0 version. This is MAC only change.
Please let us know if you are facing this issue on Win.

Thanks. Short of the sort of "generic" suggestions of restaring your system, if you haven't, and repairing disk permissions and verifying the disk, I don't have any advice right now. I'll do some research and see if I can come across anything. Meanwhile, someone else may have an idea.
