Downloads download OK but immediately disappear from download window

Only happened on one computer . . . all others fine.
Can't find a setting to retain the downloads in the download window.

See Tools > Options > Privacy > History: "Remember download history"

I recently bought a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition and downloaded Verizon Messages. All of my conversations synced with my laptop and phone, but whenever I send a message from my tablet it immediately disappears from the conversation on all of my devices. On your iPhone go to Settings > iCloud.
Turn Calendars off for over the air syncing. If you are provided a prompt to save any calendar events locally on the iPhone, decline.
Wait 5 minutes or so followed by turning Calendars back on for over the air syncing.

Adobe Applications disappeared from my Windows 8 start screen

Hi,
After a recent update to my creative cloud all my adobe apps have disappeared from my windows 8 start screen. And when I search from them from the start screen it can't find them.
If I use file explorer I can navigate to them, and the apps are still pinned to my task bar.
Any ideas?
Oh, and another issue I've just noticed, my creative cloud app won't log me in. Everytime I login it immediatly says "you have been signed out, please login in to continue.

For Windows 7, in short, you need to delete a file in the local files folder - basically resets linkages or something to the creative cloud. Then restart the CC desktop app.

CD immediately disappears from iTunes

After inserting a CD iTunes will recognize the CD then it will be removed from iTunes and it also disappears from my list of devices in my finder window. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had this same problem, very infuriating, but it is solved due to someone else's answer.
Quit iTunes
go the following folder: username/library/preferences
look for a file named Info.cidb
delete Info.cidb, it is corrupted (it is your computer's file containing information from the CD Database and will renew itself when you relaunch iTunes)
Restart your computer

Airport Express connected but keeps disappearing from itunes

HI,
I have an airport express which is connected to some speakers and I'm using Airplay to stream music from Itunes to the speakers.
However the speakers keep disappearing from itunes. If I reboot the Airport Express they reappear, then have a few hours will disappear again!
In all cases I can connect to the Airport using the configuration utility and I can ping the device, so I don't think it's a problem with the Wifi, just with Airplay. Also the Airport express is only 4 meters from the Access Point.
I have two windows 7 machines, both using itunes (latest version) and a MAC - all machines have the same difficulty with the speakers intermittently disappearing.
Also on the network I have 2 x TVs and a Bowers and Wilkins Zeppelin - all working fine with Airplay.
The Airport Express is on version 7.5.2 and is using a static IP address.
Any Thoughts anyone?

Did you disconnect the cable modem's power supply before re-connecting it and then attaching the AirPort Express device? Be sure to pull the power spike—don't just use an on/off switch.
On some older cable modems, it's necessary to leave the power cable unplugged for up to 12 hours or so.

Photoshop CS5 64 bit tools window, why Crop tool disappeared from tools window?

I am using the above version of Photoshop in windows 7 64 bit. A few week ago the crop tool just disappeared from the Tools window. The crop tool is just below move tool and just above the rectangular marquis tool. I have been using various versions of photoshop for over 15 years and have never had a tool disappear from the preset tools window. Does anyone have any idea how to restore the crop tool to it's original location? I have tried the help file, and I guess I don't know how to phrase the question properly to get any useful answers. Also, is there any way to add additional tools to the tools window? This windows installation is on a computer that is usually not conected to the internet for security reasons. If anyone has a solution, an email to [email protected] would really be appreciated.

I suspect the crop tool is not missing but just not selected. In cs4/cs5 the crop tool is grouped with the slice tools in the toolbox, much
like older versions such as ps4 had the crop tool grouped with the marquee selection tools in the toolbox.

I don't think you can add any tools that aren't already there, but you can use configurator to make your own panel having
the tools arranged the way you see fit.

HT1657 I had downloaded a rental but it disappeared from my iPad and isn't on my laptop. The time to watch it has not expired. What am I to do?

I originally put the rental on my ipad. While on vacation I decided to view it on my laptop (with a bigger screen). At the time, I had no internet access. When I attached my ipad to my laptop (wired) I clicked to view on computer and a sign poped up and said I could not connect to the itune store so it could not be transfered. It was then my movie disappeared! I'm back home and have internet connection but there is no record of my rental anywhere I can find. What can I do to retrieve my movie? THe time to view it has not expired yet.

Everything should be on your computer. Sync it back.
You should ahve been syncing contacts and calendars to your computer all along.
Did you fail to make sure that everything was on your computer before updating?

What you describe seems to be related to the cached licensing information not being accessible or it being corrupted. Adobe has a help page about what to do to fix it:

My newly-installed TB disappeared from my Windows 8.1 64bit laptop. How can I prevent this happening again?

When I installed the new TB "portable" a few minutes ago, all seemed to be going well. I downloaded an accumulation of messages from my server and began setting up archive folders and filters. Suddenly, TB froze and then disappeared! When I clicked on the icon, I was presented with an empty, new, TB, and asked whether I wanted a new email address, etc, as I had been before (and refused). I've gone ahead and am downloading my messages into the "empty" TB, but how do I keep the content from disappearing again?
I wonder if this is a glitch associated with the evil Windows 8.1. Any ideas?

The compatibility problem has been solved (the security setting needed to be changed to SSL/TLS, which changed the port to 995, and the message no longer appears. Thanks. Meanwhile, I am just hoping that content of TB doesn't up and disappear again without any warning or message. Have you any ideas about that problem?
