Downloads fail, redirected to Product Selector? -- SOLUT

Have you found the download/driver you need, but when you try to download it, you get bounced to the Product Selector ( <http://support.creative.com/welcome.aspx?Referer=~/welcome.aspx?Referer=/Downloads/welcome.aspx> )?
Turns out that until you select a product from the visual selector -- ANY product, doesn't matter if it's related to yours or now -- many download links won't work. Once you do select a product, they will. (The fact that you'll be shown your selected/wrong product above the download is irrelevant, you'll still get the right file.)
Also, note that if you bounce to the product selector, after you select a product, you may wind up at the product-categories selector again. NEVER MIND THIS, just try the EXACT SAME DOWNLOAD URL THAT FAILED BEFORE and you should now get a working page.
Example:

(2) Try visiting: <http://support.creative.com/downloads/download.aspx?nDownloadId=9487> -- you are bounced to <http://support.creative.com/welcome.aspx?Referer=~/welcome.aspx?Referer=/Downloads/welcome.aspx>
(3)? Select any product at all, for example 'Headphones & Headsets'>'HQ-40'. You get bounced back to <http://support.creative.com/welcome.aspx?Referer=~/welcome.aspx?Referer=/Downloads/welcome.aspx>
(4) Visit <http://support.creative.com/downloads/download.aspx?nDownloadId=9487> again. You will now get an agree/disagree page and 'agree' will start a real download.

Not Configured it to see if the issue still exists.
This policy sets the maximum size of each roaming user profile and determines the system’s response when a roaming user profile reaches the maximum size.

    Hi I am facing a really annoying issue, everytime I try to download something via the internet browser, music, pictures, podcats or pdf files, it says "download failed", I've cleared the cache everytime before a download, and didn't work, I've rebooted the phone before a download, didn't work.     The software version installed on your BlackBerry is not supported. BlackBerry 6 has not been officially released by Research In Motion.
    Only software officially released by your carrier is supported for application functionality.
    You can go to your carrier's download site for supported software by visiting here.
    One you are running supported software, try the download again.

    hello i have a problem deploying a OS( win 7 sp1 ), always error Download() failed. 80072efe. SendWinHttpRequest failed. 80072efe. my SCCM ( 2012 r2 cu2 ) is in miami and the clients/pc are in the  El salvador. i have two local DP and the same problem
    with both, the OS image are replicated sucessfully and i have the network access account, i can ping the MP, DP, SCCM from machine , i have added the two variables :SMSTS Download RetryCount and SMSTS DownloadRetryDelay and the same problem . i have tested
    with a phisical machine and a virtual machine ( workstation ) and  both failed, the sccm is a virtual machine running in a hyper-v server, i created a vm in the same hyper-v in miami and finished sucessfully , i checked the firewall , antivirus they are
    disabled . the DP has  allow clients to connect anonymously checked . please help me.

    80072efe = "The connection with the server was terminated abnormally"
    This is a winhttp error meaning it was issued by the client because of a failure to communicate with IIS. Ultimately, this means that "something" interrupted the session. What that "something" is is outside the control or visibility of
    ConfigMgr and is most likely network related.
    Setting the two task sequence variables is a possible solution (of course make sure you are using SMSTSDownloadRetryCount and SMSTSDownloadRetryDelay with no spaces) for a known timing issue in the task sequence engine.
    FInally, allowing anonymous client connections is not recommended and is not needed.

    thanks for reply yes the variables that i am using are with no space,   when you state a "failure to communicate with the IIS " you are talking about the IIS of the local DP or the SCCM ? also i going to double check the network .

    Having trouble downloading your product? Here are a couple of things to try if you're having trouble downloading a product you purchased on Adobe.com (abstracted from here):
    Q: I can't find the product I downloaded, where is it?
    A: The following steps will help locate your software for download:
    Go to Adobe.com.
    Click Sign In (in the upper right corner).
    Enter your Adobe ID and password, and then click Sign In. 
    Click My Orders and then Order History.
    Locate the order number, and click the Download link in the Downloads column.
    Start the download by choosing one of the following:
    Click Download and follow the onscreen instructions.
    Click Akamai Download Manager and follow the onscreen instructions.
    If you prefer downloading directly in a browser, click Alternate Download Method. Then click the .7z and .exe files (Windows) or the .dmg file (Mac OS) to download the software to your computer.

    Q:Trying to download my licensed copy of CS5.5 Master Collection (MasterCollection_CS5_5_LS1.dmg).  both the Akamai net session and the alternative direct download fail differently.  The Akamai net session download gets below 1% and then restarts.  It's done this 4 times now.   The alternative download (directly) completes and I get a 6.6GB dmg file, but when I try to mount it, it fails to validate with a checksum error.
    I've attempted to download from multiple systems, with and without Sophos Anti-virus on-access scanning enabled.
    The download is started from the "your downloads" page for my sales order.
    Any ideas?
    A: Sounds like there maybe an overall issue with the Internet Connection itself.  You can override the checksum feature by completing the following steps:
    Launch the Disk Utility located in Applications/Utilities
    Go under the Disk Utility menu and select Preferences
    De-select the option to verify checksums
    I would also recommend turning this feature back on after you have completed the install.  If you still have problems then you may want to try an alternate Internet connection.
    Q: We bought production premium CS5 Version 5.0, we got the Windows Binaries Media, where can we download a MAC Binary from?
    A: We offer the ability to swap platforms for the current version of the software.  So if you had requested to switch from Windows to Mac while Creative Suite 5 was the current product we could have done so for the price of the media and shipping cost.  Since CS5 though we have released Creative Suite 5.5 and now Creative Suite 6.  You can qualify though for the upgrade pricing to Creative Suite 6.

  • OSD package downloads fail after random percentage with error 80072EFE

    This is the most bizarre thing I've ever run into in SCCM and I've been banging my head against the wall for a week on it and it's making me want to switch back to WDS.
    The Problem
    The issue is when and OSD task sequence begins to download an image from the DP. Sometimes the image is downloaded without problems and sometimes the download just fails a random percentage multiple times before it is successful. For example:
    Sometimes the download fails a 9%, it'll retry from the same or different DP and fail at a different percentage, then fail again, then it'll finally download the package from a DP it originally failed from.

    What I've tested
    I don't think it's the DP because I have three DPs and this error happens with all the DPs
    I don't think it's the package because it happens to all OS packages and I've tried updating them, deleting, and recreating them
    I don't think it's the machines or NICs because I've tested it on multiple machines that all have different networks cards in different locations
    I've run out of ideas and I'm desperate for help. I'm starting to lean towards it possibly being a network issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Logs to check, things to test, anything.
    Please help!

    After doing much more testing I found some interesting things and possibly a solution. It turns out we weren't having this issue at other sites over our WANs when pulling images from the server in our NOC, only machines on site with the NOC. I had the network
    guys take a closer look at the logs on the core switch and there were a few devices causing excessive CRC/Alignment errors. These devices were unplugged and everything seems to be working fine now. They didn't do any configuration changes that I'm aware of.

    Hello, I recently had the same problem. I came by this topic looking for a solution. I was trying to download JDK Update 11
    Probably not a coincidence.
    I fixed by problem, by disabling verification.
    ============================
    Download Fails with Status of "Download failed. Unable to verify": SDM uses small "verification property files" (VPFs) that may be downloaded automatically by SDM to provide real-time checksum verification of files as they download. If your download fails and you see the Status message, "Download failed. Unable to verify. See Help for more info.", it is possible there is an accidental mismatch between the VPF file and the file being downloaded. You can try the download again with Verification turned off -- SDM can be used successfully without VPFs. To turn off verification:
    ***Select "File-->Options"
    *** In the Options window, uncheck "Use automatic file verification when available (recommended)".
    *** Click OK to close the Options window.
    *** In the SDM main window, click the file name, then "Retry", then "Start" to try the download again without verification.
    *** In general, it is much better to use verification when available. Please turn it back on after downloading the problematic file

    I deinstalled PSE9 from my Win XP,installed in Win 8 and get download failed messages when I update (to 9.0.3 & Camera Raw 6.5). Pressing the error message i get to a screen 'Error "This serial number is not for a qualifying product..." when installing an upgrade or upsell' Adobe support asked me some qusetions via Chat and then told me to come here as they do not support older versions....can anyone help please?

    I have since found out by googling that the two updates (9.0.3 & Camera Raw) can be applied as patches separately outside of PSE9, did that, worked fine and when I go into PSE9, help,updates it says I am upto date and more importantly I can now edit my Raw images.
