Downloads keep going into trash

Despite having set the correct download folder within my safari settings but all downloads are going straight to my trash - how can I fix this?

You can try reinstalling Safari from your Snow Leopard disk.
Insert the Snow Leopard install disk. Open the Optional Installs folder, then open Optional Installs.mpkg
An Installer will start... click Continue. When you get to the Installation Type in the window on the right you will see: Applications. Click the Disclosure triangle so it faces down. Select Safari then click Continue. When you are finished with the installation, repair disk permissions.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Try to start Firefox in [[Safe mode|Safe mode]]. This mode disables all extensions, user customizations, hardware acceleration, etc. temporarily for diagnostic and troubleshooting. If Firefox works find in Safe Mode, then this is likely an add-on issue. Restart Firefox in normal mode, then type "About:addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions one by one, restarting Firefox between each one, until you find the trouble maker. Once you do, you can disable that add-on and report the issue to that add-on's developer.
A few other basic trouble shooting things you can try is this:
Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers].

Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. you can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.

On my ipad mini, when I delete an email from the inbox (and it goes into Trash), it immediately deletes that email from the server (ATT/Yahoo). I've called support for both ATT and Apple and can't find a way to have the emails remain on the server.

Appreciate suggestions.
[The curious thing is, if I "move" the deleted emails from Trash on my iPad Mini into the Inbox, I can go to my notebook, open my online email and they are back in my ATT/Yahoo Inbox.]

hi i have a problem with my ipod touch 2nd generation firmware 3.1.2. it keeps going into restore mode randomly when i play with ir or use it. i upgraded and downgrade and nothing seems to work. i think there is a problem with the hardware!
oh and when i bought it there was a problem with the headphone jack(brand new)
and nobody would help. i had warranty to. we live in a cruel world. =(

My phone keeps going into a zoom or huge text mode and I cannot get it back to normal. I also have an iPad that I send and receive messages on so not sure if that is causing a problem, it never was a problem before this upgrade.

OS X Yosemite is for Macs, not iPhones. Perhaps you meant iOS 8.
Try tapping twice on the screen with three fingers.
And/or go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom OFF.
It has been this way since iOS 5.

This is usually a sign that your iPod's headphones are not plugged in all the way. Make sure that you cannot see any of the silver still showing from the headphone's plug. You should hear a sort of popping/clicking noise when inserting the headphones letting you know that they have been fully seated.

Just reset your phone:
Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.
This should let you use the phone normally, no restore needed.

Who told you that?
Is the phone jailbroken? Was it hacked to unlock it? Has it been physically damaged? Did you get it wet?

I Recently had my T-Mobile blackberry unlocked for my wife to use. It is now on Virgin. I have upgraded the software and everything is working well with the exception that the phone keeps going into some kind of stand by. It isn't the normal keypad lock, the unlock button wont unlock it, you have to press the red power button for a few seconds to wake it up.
It appears to be on a timer as it locks after about 2 minutes and goes to a black screen. It will happen in the middle of typing a text or whatever you are doing and when you press the power button to unlock it, it then takes you back to the home screen.. Very annoying!
I have gone through all the options and cant find anything to stop it. The auto on/off if off. Password is disabled with security time out set to 30 mins.
Any help would be appreciated

I understand you are using a cellular iPad 2 and since upgrading to iOS 8 (and 8.0.2) your iPad drops the cellular connection and says, "No Service".
So you have done step 5 in this list, but please test the other steps.
If you see No Service in the status bar of your iPhone or iPad
If you're in your carrier's coverage area
Follow these steps, testing after each.
Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
Restart your device.
Remove the SIM card. If the SIM card is damaged, worn, or bent, or if it's too big or small for the SIM tray, contact your carrier for a new one. Then reinsert the SIM card.
Check for a carrier-settings update: Connect to a Wi-Fi network, tap Settings > General > About, and install any available carrier-settings updates. If you can't connect to Wi-Fi, connect your device to a computer that has iTunes.
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Contact your carrier to check for any network or account issues.
Restore your iPhone.

IPhone restarts and keeps going into searching....

My iPhone 4S keeps going into searching.... mode, sometimes every couple of minutes or so, but mostly constantly throughout the day, it often does it when I'm talking on the phone which is really annoying. It has been doing this since I bought it and took a long time to search for the network when I bought it at the shop and the sim card was first put in.
It also keeps restarting itself when I'm using it, the screen distorts then the Apple sign comes up and I have to wait for it. Yesterday it did it for ages and despite rebooting it wouldn't turn back on, so I pluged it into my netbook, which is where I sync and back it up and it finally started up again. I can't use the camera at all at the moment as every time I open the app it just restarts. It started doing this about a month ago and has got steadily worse since.
I only bought it a couple of months ago. I have restored it a couple of times and have the latest iOS version.
Is there anything else I can try?

Iphone keeps going into reboot loop

Hey guys, i dropped my iphone from 1 month ago and since it, the signal went away sometimes while it was charging and when i took the stick out my iphone went into reboot loop, then i just waited some time and it went back.
Now suddenly 2 days ago, my iphone keeps going into reboot loop everytime and when i get it out then around 9hours later, it comes again..
I really need help since it affects my school, when the alarm don't work in the morning.
TLDR; Iphone keeps going into reboot loop, need help!

You should ask your email service provider for support. Firefox rarely has any kind of influence over this matters.
