Downloads list bug when Toolbar is hidden
When I hide the Toolbar (to conserve space) I can't open the Downloads list neither from menu nor with a keyboard shortcut. When I temporarily show the Toolbar by pressing cmd + l and press the downloads button, the list pops up but then hides and scrolls the window up.
When I show the Toolbar permanently and click on the Downloads icon, the list appears partially in my screen's bottom left corner. This is definitely a bug but I don't know where to submit it.

From your Safari menu bar top of your screen (not in full scree mode) click Safari > Submit Bugs to Apple
BTW, as a workaround you can view the contents of the Downloads folder in a Finder window.

I may be a bit behind the times: I am used to tabbed browsing showing all the tabs it possibly can, instead of just the last one. Sometimes it won't even show the last tab: I can have 15 tabs open, and not see a single tab. I've been confused by this into closing a window with lots of tabs open, because it looks like a single page-window.
My main problem with the tab-bar flashing to the end of the row is that it means a great deal more mouse-clicking around to browse.
I haven't tried installing the latest beta. Maybe that would fix the problem.

Crash iTunes when moving files in downloads list?
Twice in a row now I've been able to crash iTunes when moving files in the Downloads list (trying to change the priority).
This happened twice when I tried to drag a file up above the list to get the list to scroll. iTunes would thrash the disk for about ten seconds, and then crash with no error.
Is this a known issue?Just to clarify, this only happened when the view was down near the bottom of the list, and I wanted to move a file up to the top. Moving files around in the list worked fine if I moved the file within the viewable area of the screen.

so i downloaded itunessetup but when i open it it asks what program to run it with. but none of the programs listed would be a program to run a .exe program? what should i do?
Maybe it didn't get the EXE extension. If it does not have the extension, put one on it and see if that helps.
If it has a DMG extension, it is the Mac version of the software. -
Firefox 10. On Windows 7. Adobe PDF will not download or show up in the download list. I tried same files with IE. Download worked fine. Have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times

How can I add the download arrow to the toolbar? I cleared it by mistake when I was trying to cancel a download.
The downloads button disappears when the list is cleared. To get back you just have to download something.

TOM. VELVETTOUCHDo you have the "Green Arrow" icon on one of your toolbars? That usually will list your most recent downloads with a button to open the folder where they are saved.
If you don't have that, you can open the full download list using either:
* Ctrl+j
* Tools > Downloads
* History > Show All History, then click Downloads in the left column
Can you find the download listed there and click the "Open Containing Folder" button?
Are you downloading Flash or Acrobat/Reader?
For Flash try: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
For Acrobat/Reader, you may not need an update.
Firefox's plugin check site only recognizes the Adobe XI (11) series as current, but if you have checked for updates in your Adobe Reader X or Adobe Acrobat X product (Help > Check for Updates) then you do not need to update the plugin. For this older Reader/Acrobat version, please rely on Adobe for information on available updates and not the plugin check site. -
Adding Download link in Main toolbar
Hi,
I had created a merged project in Robohelp 8.0.2 and I wish to include a button in the main toolbar along with Contents, Search, Index, Glossary for downloading the help file in PDF format. Though I had created a custom button using the Skin editor in Robohelp, I want to know how to link the PDF file to it, so that when the user clicks the link, it has to prompt for download. I have attached a screenshot below to define the same.
I had included the PDF file in Baggage files and generated the output
When I click the link in generated output, it opens the PDF rather than prompting to download.
When I close the PDF, the contents screen goes blank/black as shown below:
Is there a way to prompt for downloading the help when the user clicks the download pdf link in help?
Let me know your thoughts on this

In IE you may be seeing a behavior imposed when working locally and you are using Mark Of The Web. (MOTW)
MOTW will inhibit links to PDF in these cases and is unique to IE. The true test is to place the content on a server. Once on a server the MOTW has no meaning and things should work.

Mailing lists - behavior when pulling down "rest of Digest" emails
I subscribe to several mailing lists. Given the volume of emails, I prefer Digest mode. This way I get one large email per list per day. When I scroll through a Digest email, I hit the bottom where I'm asked if I want to download the rest of the Digest email. I click YES and the Digest begins to download.
Surprisingly, when the Digest is downloaded, I'm taken back to the TOP of the email! So now I have to scroll down....and down...and down....to get to the point where I left off (if I remember where I was).
Is this a problem everyone else is running into? If so, I hope Apple fixes this. Yes, I submitted a bug report.

Interesting, thanks for confirming. When I told an iPhone developer, he shook his head in disbelief. I'm sure this was a simple oversight. I submitted feedback at the URL you provided, and at the dev center. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Unable to delete a file from the downloads list of...
i am an e7 user. I was recently downloading a couple of videos at the same time when my phone hanged and had to be restarted. When it did restart, most of the files had to be redownloaded. All except one. The downloads list claims that the file has been saved. The video plays bt isnt completely downloaded.
The problem now is that i cant delete the video through the file manager. The error msg says web:already in use.. When i tried deleting the file from the downloads list of the web browser, there was a similar msg.
So how do i remove this file from my phone??
I tried downloading a couple of file managing softwares bt that didnt really help....

Go to Solution.Retry after clearing the Browser Cache.. If that does not solve.. Reboot the phone and try again...

App will not download to iPad when purchased from App Store - stuck with Cloud icon
Device : iPad Air 32gb wi-fi model (not cellular data)
OS version : 7.1.1 (up to date)

Problem : App will not download to iPad when purchased from App Store - stuck with Cloud icon
Last night I tried to download an app over wi-fi onto my iPad Air, but the app did not install.
I have plenty of space (the app is 24.1mb, I have 3.4gb free space) and there are no restrictions whatsoever on my iPad - no blocks on App store purchases, no age-related restrictions, no country restrictions etc.
Normally from the App Store page you would tap the price (in this case the app was free), enter your iTunes password, and the app would download.
Also a new icon appears on the home screen and a circle shows the progress of the download.
However this did not happen.
Instead I have the Cloud icon (the one that shows when you have bought an app but it is not currently installed on your device) and a message that says "You've already purchased this, so it will be downloaded now at no additional cost".
If I press OK I am then prompted to enter my iTunes password, the Cloud symbol briefly changes to a circle (and I mean for a split-second, like the blink of an eye) and then the Cloud symbol appears again.
The app does not download - in fact it does not even *attempt* to download.
I have tried this >20 times now and it always occurs excatly like this.
After Googling this problem (which seems common) and reading over a dozen threads on this forum plus Apple's own official support pages, this is what I've tried:
I can re-download other apps that I have previously purchased on this iPad, with no problems.
I purchased another app on my iPhone 5 and was then able to download onto my iPad with no problems.
I have reset my iPad >5 times - both by pressing/holding the home/power buttons, and also a full switch off and restart.
I have logged out of my iTunes account on the iPad, and logged back in.
The wi-fi is Virgin Media fibre optic broadband with a verified speed of 20 meg (confirmed by Speedtest) plus an 802.11-n Belkin router and my iPad will happily load web pages, stream videos on YouTube, download other apps etc.
I have reset/rebooted my internet connection
In an attempt to eliminate by broadband connection from the possible causes, I have switched off my router, linked my iPad to the hotspot feature on my iPhone and tried to download the app over cellular data, but still cannot download the app.
I have tried on 2 other wi-fi networks but still cannot download this one app.
My iTunes account has a cerdit balance from an iTunes card, but the app was free anyway
Nothing I try will download the app in question.
The app is iPad only, so I cannot install on my iPhone to try and kick-start the process.
I guess I could install the app on my computer and then sync the iPad, but that's *working around* the problem - it's not *fixing* the problem.
(Since getting the iPad I use almost never use my computer. And anyway what if I did not have a computer? Didn't iOS go "PC-free" with version 5?)
I would like to call Apple but my 90-day telephone support has expired (the iPad is around 6 months old) and I don't want to buy Apple Care for this one problem.
I can't make it to an Apple Store to speak to a Genius.
Bearing in mind the list of things I've already tried, what do I do next?

No need to apologize, I actually found the phrase "If your iPad ever craps the bed" amusing under the circumstances
I checked the list of installed apps like you suggested (Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Show all apps) but this problem app is not in the list. I have also swiped down on the home screen to search for it, but again it does not show.
While it has not let me download the app (and I just tried it again) it has helped me to eliminate a few things from the list of what to try, and I can definitely conclude that it has not downloaded.
I guess I need to fire up my PC and download it / sync my iPad.

Bug: when fetching arrays of rows with null data values
Using Oracle ODBC Driver 8.01.73.00 or 8.01.74.00 (called
8.1.7.3.0 and 8.1.7.4.0 on the Oracle downloads page).
When fetching multiple rows, and where some of the data is null,
the the indicator variable quite often (but not always) has
incorrect values.
Is this a known bug? This seems like something that lots of
people would encounter so I find it hard to understand why it
hasn't already been fixed.
Also, how do I report this as a bug to Oracle? I couldn't find
the place on the site to do this.

Hi - I have a file where I store my downloaded music. When I plug in my ipod and click on "add music" my file appears. Rather than drag one song at a time, how can I download the entire list at once? - steve
I am not doing it in ITunes, but i did down load the song from ITunes. I loaded the song on to my Nano, but in my menu selections it doesn't show the song or the artist in any search format. However, when i plug in my nano to my PC I see the Nano library on my PC drive listings and that song and artist are there. I can click on the song and it will play in Windows media on my work PC. I did notice that the format for most all the songs in my library on my Nano are MPEG - 4 audio Files.
