Downloads window list is reverse order

Safari has a reverse order for the downloads window list. Any way to get it normal (last thing downloaded should be at the top).

No, it has never been correct on any of my three Macs. It is correct in Firefox (Mac and Window), Opera, iCab, and Internet Explorer 7 and 8. I haven't tried Chrome yet, but I'd be willing to bet it shows latest top like all the others. Don't tell me Safari is "thinking different". If it has a reverse order to display downloads, it should at least have a way to change it to normal (normal like my email list-- latest at the top).
I don't use Safari much, but I might use it more if it made sense. Maybe there is a plugin that can reverse this thing. Safari doesn't have a config window like Firefox does it?

  • Printing Linked List in reverse

    Hi
    Im trying to print a linked list in reverse order.. ive tried to put the objects into an array stack and then start printing form the top of the stack.
    any ideas?

    You don't want to be making it more complicated with Queues or Stacks.
    you can get a ListIterator from LinkedList
    This Iterator not only has the next() method of normal Iterators, it also has a previous() method.
    good enough hint?

  • Can a Collection be traversed in reverse order?

    Hi..
    I am using a List of Objects to display..
    When I click a Link, it has to be displayed in the reverse order..
    Is there any way to do this..
    Please help me..
    Thanks in advance..

    here is the code by which you can traverse a List in
    reverse order without modifying contents of the list
    import java.util.*;
    public class ReverseList {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    List first = new ArrayList();
    first.add("Java");
    first.add("Is");
    first.add("Easy");
    ListIterator iterator = first.listIterator();
    //now traverse a list in forward direction so that
    you can reach at the end of the list
    while(iterator.hasNext()) {
    iterator.next();
    //now traverse a list in reverse direction
    while(iterator.hasPrevious()) {
    System.out.println(iterator.previous());
    For a random access list, such as ArrayList, the above is very inefficient. Instead try:
    List<String> l = new ArrayList<String>();
    l.add( "Java" );
    l.add( "Is" );
    l.add( "Easy" );
    // Jump straight to the end
    ListIterator<String> iterator = l.listIterator( list.size() );
    // Start iterating
    while( iterator.hasPrevious() ) {
        System.out.println( iterator.previous() );
    }

  • When downloading updates from iTunes to my iPhone my playlists appear in reverse order with least played at the top. I just want the playlist to appear in the same order as my iTunes library. This seems to have changed after downloading iCloud

    When dowloading updates from my iTunes library onto my iPhone
    my playlists appear in reverse order with the least played at the top of the list
    and most played at the end on the playlist.
    Therefore I cant play my favourites in the order that I like to hear them.
    This all changed when I recently downloaded the iCloud application.

    Hi Jim,
    Is this temporary cache accessing my data when I play songs from it? As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm still able to listen to these songs even when my phone is in airplane mode and the download icon is still present next to said songs. This implies that the songs are already downloaded onto my phone even if I didn't opt to download them directly from the cloud -- they're on my phone because my phone was shuffling my library on a wifi network.

  • Can I chnge the context menu "open in new tab / window" options back to the previous version (reverse order)?

    In Firefox 4, the context menu "open in new tab / open in new window" options are in reverse order compared to 3.6. Can this be "fixed," i.e. change the menu item order? I use this feature constantly and it's a matter of habit, also still use some 3.6 machines.

    You can use the Menu Editor extension to re-arrange the menus - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/menu-editor

    Has anyone downloaded Yosemite and found that there are no ore scroll bars? I have to move the window (of any window, Skype window, browser window etc.) in order to find the scroll bar and then it disappears so fast I can't even use it.

    Not sure why that was unchecked but good to know!
    Apple's new default (since at least a couple of OS releases back) is to have it off so OS X matches the behavior of an iPhone or iPad.
    I almost never need a scroll bar, and when I do, I just move over to the edge of the window when scrolling and a larger scroll bar appears.
    Yes, for the most part, users don't really need the scroll bar. That's what the scroll wheel on almost all mice is for. Saves the trip over to bar to physically grab and move it. But, I do like it on all the time regardless. That way (especially with a long article) I can just take a quick glance over to the bar to see about where I am on the page (a third of the way down? halfway?). Otherwise, I have to move the page just to make it appear to give me the same information.

  • Sort list reverse order

    I want to sort a list of files in reverse order e.g.  oldest to newest instead of newest to oldest I seems the ony options are date, name etc.

    Right click (Control click) on the column headings and make sure you have the right 'Date' term select that you want to sort.
    Then click on the column heading ('Date Modified' in the case below) to change from oldest to newest and newest to oldest. The triangle will flip upside down as you do so.

  • Firefox 3.6.6 not listing my downloads in the Downloads window.

    Firefox 3.6.6 not listing my downloads in the Downloads window. It's blank--but the file DO download.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == When I downloaded 3.6.6

    This same thing is happening with v3.6.6 -- can someone PLEASE fix this CRITICAL bug.
    It makes Firefox USELESS for developers if we can't resolve names.
    I just don't understand why this would break. Why doesn't Firefox use the DNS that the operating system clearly knows about (ping, IE, hosts, etc.)
    THIS WORKED IN 3.6.3 -- YOU BROKE IT IN 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 !!!

  • Can I keep a visible list of downloads in the download window?

    I recently upgraded from FF 3 to FF5. In FF3, the download window would remain 'populated' unless and until I cleared it. In FF5, the file being currently downloaded remains visible in the download window until it finishes downloading, then disappears from the download window. Is there some way to keep a visible list in the download window?

    There is a folder somewhere in ~/Library that stores the local copies of iWork documents, so if you are not connected to iCloud, you can still open the files and edit them.  They will sync with icloud when it can.  This works like dropbox, except Apple is trying to hide the details by making everything transparent.  Users don't have to understand how this work in the background, they're just supposed to work.  So far that's been true for me.

  • Podcast audiobook episodes in reverse order

    I upgraded my iPod Touch software to 2.2, and all of the chapters in my audiobook podcasts are now in reverse order. (They are downloaded from Librivox.)
    All of the chapters are in correct order on iTunes and when my iPod is hooked up to iTunes, the sidebar shows that the chapters should be in correct order. But on the iPod itself, the chapters are reversed.
    I have tried both Syncing and Restoring.

    I had a similar thing happen, not to an audio book, but a sequence of MP3s of a concert staged reading of a show of mine. I tried all kinds of tricks in re: interpolating sequenve numbers at the start of filenames, putting files in manually, etc. -- everything except syncing, because I'm not keen on relinquishing even partial manual control of contents. Then rather by accident I found the solution. Or at any rate MY solution. And it's ridiculously easy.
    (1) Make sure all the playlist's MP3 files are in a folder on your desktop, named so that when you view them as a list, you see them in chronological order.
    (2) Attach your iPod to your Mac and boot iTunes.
    (3) in iTunes select your iPod and create a new playlist.
    (4) Drag the playlist folder -- not its contents, but the folder ITSELF -- to the new playlist window; the files will be copied in order.
    That's it. When you remove your iPod from the Mac, the correct order of the previously troublesome playlist should be retained and not reversed. Or at least that's what worked for me.
