Downpayment on a Asset PO not top update actual asset

Hi,
I have created a PO with account assignment category as "A".
Now while making a downpayment using F-48, I am entering PO in the PO field.
This is making a posting in the asset as well.
How can I avoid making a posting in the asset in such a case?

Hi Nitish,
You are absolutely correct that when the P.O. is as Asset P.O., the Asset should get updated.. BUT, the issue is that.. when you post a down payment to an Asset, Asset Master get populated with the Values even at the time of Advance Payment and if you run Depreciation for the month, the depreciation will get posted on the Asset, even though the Asset is not commissioned..So, in order to avoid this scenario, we do not post it to the Asset.
As per Indian regulations, the Depreciation on as Assset is started only when it is installed and put to use..

As per my knowledge goes you can change the assignment to the group asset in the asset master record as long as the asset is not capitalised.Once the asset is capitalised you can no longer change the assignment to the group asset.If you need to do it any way, you have to tranfer the complete asset into a new asset master record and do the necessary change in the assignment of the group asset there in the new asset master record.

Asset acquisition value is not updating in Asset history sheet & AW01N

The issue is the asset acquisition values are not updated in AW01N & Asset history sheet report for particular asset acquisition transaction only.
it`s showing in asset history sheet but its nt added in the current APC value in the asset history report & also its showing in AW01N transaction but in acquisition change column its not updating.
I have also checked the below link but still i am persisting the same problem.

Hi Amit,
check note 366848.
Implement reports RACORR110_B and the report RACORR55 from the note 366848 in your system.
At first run the report RACORR110_B. Check the field ANLC-ANSWL bevor and after running the report.
The report RACORR110_B accumulates the values of the asset line items and writes the result in the field ANLC-ANSWL.
After this, please start the report RACORR55. This report forwards the values in the following year.
(If this is not the reason (ANLC is correct), the report makes nothing.)

Acquisition value not updated in Asset Accounting... however updated in GL

Please provide me a solution for the following problem.
In asset 220000144 of Co.Code B403 , acquisition value is not updated with asset transaction for Rs.279352.00 , and as a result it shows difference in AA/FI reconciliation .
Could anyone suggest a solution to resolve this mismatch?

WBS not updated during asset invoice

Dear all,
I post an invoice through MIRO for an asset and i enter a WBS element. However, the line item of the asset is not updated and the WBS element is also not updated with the actual posting.
On the other hand, if i enter an expenses account everything works perfectly.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
Usually you should not assign Cost objects to balance sheet accounts. It has to be assigned only for Profit and Loss accounts.
For assets you can maintain the WBS element in Asset Master creation AS01 and that WBS will be taken for accounting for any depreciation or expenses posted for that particular assets.

Quantity not updated in Asset master after Good Receipts

Hi,
Can someone tell me is it SAP bug after Good Receipts done, base on the following scenarios, if PO specify with Quantity 1 and unit of measurement PC:
1) Asset created without specifiying the quantity and unit of measurement
2) Asset created with specifiying the quantity and unit of measurement, ie Quantity : 1, Unit of measurement: PC
3) Asset created with specifiying the quantity and wrong unit of measurement, ie Quantity : 1, Unit of measurement: Unit
The result:
Item1: No quantity and unit of measurement in Asset Master was updated.
Item2: Quantity was added by 1, ie total is 2 in Asset Master
Item3: No changed in Asset Master, since wrong unit of measurement.
Is it bug for the item1 & Item2?

Asset Qty not updated when positng a pourchase

Hello,
since our upgrade to ECC 6 we experience a problem that the quantity of an Asset is not incremented when posting a purchase order on it.
the difference lies in the definition of the Asset. When the field ANLA-MEINS is left empty, the PO has no effect on the quantity. When a value is given in unit field ANLA-MEINS (pce,kg,etc), the field ANLA-MENGE is properly incremented.
This was working in ECC5 no matter how the Asset was defined.
Ok, the unit should be provided in Asset definition (tr.AS01), but as in ECC 5 it was working we didn't bother and ECC6 should be working just as same.
Any ideas?

CS5 library HTML instances not getting updated (and font options are limited)

Having the following problems using FW CS5/Mac:
1. Heading1 instances (created from Common Library -> HTML) are not reflecting updates to library item in Document Library.
To replicate: Drag a Heading1 element from the common library to document. Create a few more instances of it in the document, using the one in your Document Library. Now edit the library version. The instances on the page stay the same, they don't reflect updates.
2. Symbol Properties for HTML elements has very limited options for Font. 'Heading1' has only Arial or Arial Black. 'Link' has those, plus Comic Sans (and Arial is listed twice). There is nowhere else to customize symbols.
3. Also, my Layers panel randomly disappears, even though Window->Layers is still checked. I have to restart to get it back. Cursor also sometimes disappears and requires restart. Seems to happen whenever I add a Link (from Common Library).
Are there workarounds for these? If they are documented bugs, is there a patch?

You can try editing the JSF file for the symbol - that's what controls the symbol properties. I'm not a coder, but I found that putting your preferred font at the beginning of the font list in the JSF list will solve the problem.
For example, I first saved a copy of the original script, then moved the Times Roman family to the beginning of the list and saved this version as the original script name. These scripts are found in the Fireworks application folder, inside Configuration > Common Library > HTML.
I restarted FW and when I dragged the H1 instance onto the canvas, it displayed Times immeditately.
Unfortunately, it deleted that family from the combo list, simply renaming it Arial - Helvetica - san-serif and placing it at the top of the list. So now I have 3 Arials - lol. The first one indicates the current font chosen (or it's supposed to) and the other two list my true Arial font family and the Times font family (renamed as Arial) Haven't figure out how to fix that yet.
This change doesn't affect the preview image either, but there must be a way to alter it by editing the true symbol.

Equipment master record updation in Asset master record

Dear Friends,
I have a query with regard to Equipment master record updation in asset master record. Here we have created equipment in Plant maintenance module and we have created asset in AS01 tcode. When we give the asset number to PM module guys, they can easily update the asset number in their equipment master by changing the equipment master record.
But when we enter the same in asset master record in 3rd tab allocations tab, initially it is accepting the equipment details like equipment number, category, object and tech description, but the same is not available after saving.
Please let me know whether I have to do any customization in asset settings inorder to get the equipment number populated in asset master record.

HT201413 HELP! I was updating my iphone 4S to the new IOS6 via itunes when in the in the middle of the process of actually updating the iphone OS, it suddenly returned an error - "The iPhone could not be updated. An unknown error occurred (1602)" PLEAS

I am using an HP DV9 laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium and the latest iTunes software.
I regularly synch my iphone 4S with my laptop & Outlook.
I recently got the message that an IOS6 upgrade is available & so I scheduled to apply the update.
Everything was running normally when, after the download of the update, backup of my iphone, & applying the update began when
suddenly, iTunes returned with an ERROR MESSAGE as follows:
The iPhone "Ramon's iPhone" could not be updated. An unknown error occurred (1602)
Now, my iphone is stuck with the iTunes icon and the USB image with an arrow pointing to the iTunes
icon.
WHAT DO I DO NOW?????!!!!!

I actually tried the steps below due to the error -5000 I had encountered during the previous tries updating my IOS to 5.1.1
"Perform a normal sync and check your iTunes to make sure everything was synced in the right places like the tabs at the top of your "summary" when you plug in your iPhone to iTunes. If everything is there and all the right boxes are checked for the stuff you want to save, then put your phone into recovery mode by keeping it plugged into your computer with iTunes still up and running. Next you want hold down the power button AND the home key button (the big button on the bottom part of your screen) AT THE SAME TIME. Your phone will go thru 4 different screens before you

U will see your normal power off slider screen, then a black screen, then a black screen with an apple logo, then finally a screen with the iTunes logo and a picture of a sync cable below it. Once you see this screen LET BOTH BUTTONS GO but not before you see this screen. Your computer will tell you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode, say ok. Then hit the restore button on your iTunes summary screen, it should then ask you if you want to restore from a backup and update, say yes.... And at the end of its restoring and uploading you should have iOS 5!!"
Then it proceeded to a reactivation process... =(

Purchase order date updating in asset master

Dear Experts
When we are creating the Purchase order With reference to the Asset, my client wants to Update the PO date automatically in asset master
I have maintained the PO date as an optional field in asset master and created PR and Po with reference to the PR but in asset master data PO date not updating automatically.
In above case what are the settings I have done in FI and MM?

As far as I know, this is not updated automatically.. Asset Master is created earlier than PO... The PO date does not update automatically in asset master
The capitalization date in asset master will be the date on which you do the GR....hence, PO date cant be the capitalization date...
If you want to update the PO date in asset master for information sake, create a Z program which calls As02 in the background and updates the info on daily basis at day end

Smart playlists not live updating on ipod touch (2nd gen)

Scenario:
I have a smartplaylist with live updating ticked in itunes. this playlists looks for tracks with a star rating between 4 and 5 stars and places them in the playlist. in itunes when i listen to new music with no rating and i give it a rating that meets this rule it works and places that said track in the playlist.
I then sync my ipod and the updated playlist with the new tracks that i have just rated goes on there. all good so far.
But when i rate a track on my ipod when i am away from my computer and i give it 4 or 5 stars it does not "live update" and place it on the said playlist. I have to wait untill i get home and synce with my itunes library for the newly rated tracks to go on my desired playlist.
isnt that the point of "live updating" playlists?
I should be able to rate a track and for it to go onto this playlist whilst i am "on the go"
This way of working always worked on my other ipods. just not with my touch.
any help or advice? is this a known software bug to do with the touch?

Yes, I've had this problem several times. There seem to be certain criteria you can't use in a playlist and expect it to work on you iPod. I don't know if this will solve your problem but here's what I've figured out:
I have a 5G ipod classic. Any playlists that I've created using the criteria 'podcast is true/false' won't live update on the iPod. I've solved this by changing the criteria to 'genre contains podcast' and that works just fine.
The playlists that I've created using the 'playlist is' AND selecting one of (oh how to put this) iTunes library playlists that appear at the top of itunes (in my case "Music" and "TV Shows") (the ones with the icons), also do not live update on the ipod. For whatever reason, these default playlists seem to break live updating on the iPod, but not in iTunes. I got around it by using a whole list of genres to include/exclude to create my music playlist (there's probably a better way to do it). For my playlists that contain TV shows, I set all the TV shows I've ripped from my DVD's to have a genre of 'music and television' and use that to create a playlist. That also works.
You stated that you use the rating criteria to create your playlist, but might you also be using the default lists at the top too? of course, i'm not using an ipod touch so maybe this isn't helpful. I hope it is, because i know how crazy this was making me... good luck...

Document from last posting run in 2007 are not yet updated

Hi Guru's,
When I run the AJRW fiscal year change 2009, it was not successful because a system message says" fiscal year change in company code XXX, possible only after year end closing 2007.
So I execute AJAB-Year End closing in 2007, in Tab " Closed Carried Out - it say "NO", when i double click it says: "Document from last posting run in 2007 are not yet updated"
So i check it in SM35 to see when did this error started, i found out it started at around mid 2007, July, status is In background instead of Processed. Out of 15 thousand transaction, 14 of which got an error.
Please help how we are able to post asset accounting for 2009.

check the error log why the transactions are not processed. Recreate the session with transaction code AFBD giving the year and fiscal period and check the error log. It will give the clue why the transactions are not processed.
Those might not have processed due to GL account assignment or cost center master data issues.

Not able to edit assets in Illustrator/Photoshop and save over existing assets in Edge animation to update image changes. Has Adobe changed this capability with new releases? Does this mean to update an asset on the Edge animation timeline, you have to copy and paste all the animations of that old asset over to the new imported asset?

You should be able to save over existing assets in the images/ folder, then close and reopen the file. The other option is to save your assets and then use the swap image option in the properties panel. Is this what you're talking about? Thanks,

Hi,
You need to pass some manual entries through OASV.
Values appear in asset reports are coming from AS91.
Entries passed through OASV are update in gl accounts.
Before passing the entries please check the values.
