DP Cube for Generating CVCs

I have a Sales History Cube in APO. This Cube is used to generate Characteristics Value Combinations. We have a planning object Structure with BOM relevant characteristics. Since the Cube doesnt have BOM Characteristics I am not able to generate CVCs in APO DP. I have had a cube with out BOM and Planning Object Structure with BOM relevant characteristics and was able to generate the CVCs before. The version I am working on is SCM 4.1.
Can someone help me overcome this.

Prakash,
I dont think this is related to the version! I hope you are on BW 3.5.
To create a CVC you need to assign some valid value to every characteristic in the planning object structure.
If you need to create your CVCs from an infoprovider, it should include all of the characteristics that are present in the POS. You may have more characteristics in the cube but should have all that are in the POS.
Alternatively you can create the CVCs via a CSV file or manually.

I'm trying to use the PS2013's capability for generate SSAS Cubes; but after I execute
the steps described on “Configure OLAP cubes for Project Web App (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj943761.asp)” the only thing
achieved is that the state being "Processing…" and the log:

When I check the jobs, the one who is associated with the cube creation is on "Succeeded" state but the OLAP database is never created. There is no evidence I think on the Sharepoint log.

Seems like an error occurred during site collection provisioning with the project server features. The provisioning process was interrupted from a system error and doesn't recovered after system restart.
I just created and provisioned a new site collection and everything is working now.

Name is not in the namespace for generated BW Metaobjects

I am facing errors while loading data from ods to cube, thru init run,
1."Name is not in the namespace for generated BW Metaobjects"
2.Also "Error 18 in the update "
Can anyone help me out in resolving this issue.

How to find rows in F table of a cube for a given request ID

Can someone tell me how to find the rows in the F table of a cube for a given request id?

Copy the Request ID number of that cube and go to manage of the cube and select contents tab, select Infocube content,
select list of objects to be displayed with results and in that screen give Request ID at Request ID row and at bottom Max no. of Hits keep blank and execute at the top.
this will display all the data rows loaded with that request. this is records from cube.
from Fact table, go to SE11, give /BIC/FXXXX "XXXX" is cube name for custom cube.
get the SID of that cube from the Cube contents as mentioned above, for field select for output along with Request ID select Request SID also.
from SE11 give table /BIC/DXXXXXP "XXXX" is cube name for custom cube. P for Packet Dimension. here pass reqest SID in 'SID_0REQUID' and get value for DIMID.
pass this DIMID into KEY_XXXXP, this give the fact table rows for that request DIM ID.

Workbook Displays Data Not Present in the Cube for Non-Cumulative KF

Hi All,
I have a user that is reporting using noncumulative info object 0TOTALSTCK. If I look in the cube, the data starts in October and goes from there. When viewing the data, there are figures that display for the months prior to October even though there is no data in the cube.
The interesting thing is that when viewed in excel using the analyser, these figures display using square brackets. This is then throwing out the total values of the prior months as they are being added in.
Does anyone have an idea why this value would display even though there is no data in the cube for it?

Just thought I would share the solution to this.
It looks like the validity date for the cube was not set up properly. I fixed it using transaction RSDV.

Can anybody send me a simple FD for generating ALV as well as interactive report for purchase order and sales order

On the both the Sales Pricing Condition type and the Purchase Pricing condition type there is a field called Ref.condit.type.
For example you have a sales pricing condition PR00 with value $10. In your pricing condition in MM for example PB00 you enter PR00 in the Ref.condit.type. The value for PB00 will now be $10.
Apart from this i do not think there is any standard configuration available in SAP for this. Please refer to SAP Note-95024. You may also consider to write your own logic in the PO Exit to derive the sales order pricing in PO.

For the multi-cube;
you can create a reports out of different infoprovider...let's say you have infocube for actual and another for plan...you can create a report to see actual and plan both...

Inbound IDOC error (Name MARA is not in the namespace for generated BW Metaobjects)

Hi everybody,
we are currently having some issues with importing idocs into our ERP DEV System and i cannot figure out what the problem could be.
I am trying to import an IDOC Type ARTMAS (5) but i keep getting the following error "Name MARA is not in the namespace for generated BW Metaobjects"
The system is a ERP only system with no BI content activated at all.
I don´t find any more errors nor any dumps or SLG1 entries related to this issue.
Did someone already experienced that kind of problem, or do some of you maybe have an idea where to have a deeper look.

Long time for generating spool request for smartforms

I'm have designed a smartforms for printing a Receipt form. It takes about 1 minute for generating spool request after pressing the PRINT button in PRODUCTION Server only.
The Code i used is below

Hi Rameshkumar,
you may look at the code sections of your smartform: If you have a lot more data in production than you have in development, it is especially important to use a fully specified primary key for any SELECTs.
You may also ask your basis people to check if any performance warnings have been recorded with database system. This happens quite frequently that growing database tables cause problems when table spaces are not properly assigned or table sizes are not maintained adequately.

Name TCURC is not in the namespace for generated BI meta objects

Hi,
When I try to load data into infocube, I get a short dump during the DTP load with the below message
UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
Exception: CX_RSR_X_MESSAGE
Upon analysing the dump analysis I found the below system fields
SY-MSGTY E
SY-MSGID R7
SY-MSGNO 019
SY-MSGV1 TCURC
which gives the message text "Name TCURC is not in the namespace for generated BI meta objects"
If I remove the mapping with Amount KF in the TRFN and load data it works fine without error but on mapping the KF with currency unit I get this error.It is something related to Currency but I'm unable to figure out the problem.
Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

Please, can you check the currency conversion with the function module CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY?
Have you customize the currency-tables? Use the functions RSA1 -> source system -> context menu -> global settings + exchange rate

My Client wants to build a cube for their HR Analysis. They have data in Peoplesoft and Kronos systems.
I have never worked on any cubes for HR. I needed some guidance regarding that.
If somebody has done any such implementation,some document or presentation which can be used as a base,then please forward it to me [email protected]
Please guide me about what kind of analysis we can perform using cubes and in general how it looks like.Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

My guess is you would want to be in the Essbase or Planning forums. But It more sounds like you need to bring in a consultant that understands Essbase and HR reporting. The cube design will rely on the data and reporting and analysis needs

We built our Repository on Materialized views we were using with Discoverer so I'm not sure if we have to do the part that creates an Opaque view in our integration of EBS 11i with OBIEE.
