DPI Scaling in Windows 7 and how it affects Adobe apps (Retina 15" MBP)

I have a simple question I cannot find the answer for, I want to know if the DPI settings in windows ( http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Make-the-text-on-your-screen-larger-or-smaller) that scale text and icons only scale the UI elements in Adobe programs. For example if my Retina MBP on Windows 7 is set to 150% DPI and all the text and Icons appear bigger is that the ONLY thing affected? Does an app like Photoshop or Illustrator still allow me to work with the full 2880x1800 canvas size, only the UI elements get scaled?
I do not want to set the DPI to 150% and not be able to use the whole working space of the monitor, the whole reason I bought the Retina MBP was to do large poster designs and view them at 100%. Since Apple only allows 1900x1200 with 2x sampling for the Retina display, it's essentially useless as I don't need more detail when I zoom in, I want more working space overall at a 1:1 ratio.

Thats not true, absolutely not. You are right to ask here in the forum, but there is no solution for HiDPI scaling for photoshop. Please see the link below. Adobe is doing it´s best to get a solution. But this will take tiiiiiiime.

For example, where did you see this term mentioned? It confuses me because the Mac OS has a "Finder window", but I think you're saying that your operating system is Windows 7. And in Windows, the File Explorer is the equivalent of the Mac Finder.

You connect the iPad to the computer and use the Transfer Purchases function in iTunes to put them on the Mac's internal drive. They can't actually be run on a Mac.

Win 7 has given many people some 'issues'. There are postings to the forum
that point out you have to set your security so that it will allow
downloads from certain sites, and I seem to recall that these settings need
to recognize Adobe as a source and allow it through the firewall. Wish I

No, the serial number goes with the product. You should deactivate all your installed copies before selling it. Also, if you've used it qualify for upgrade pricing on a later version you can't sell it. Well, you could but the new owner won't be able to install it.

Thanks Jeff! So, it totally appears as if it was a network issue. The corporate network where I work is quite likely the culprit. Where I was thrown off is that since I have admin rights on my computer, I can install software. But using Adobe Application Manager to install Adobe software wasn't working. And to make matters worse, there didn't appear to be any way to install Acrobat Pro for Mac without using AAM. The workaround that I used previously was to install the trial versions of Adobe software, and then just register them using my username and password. But the workaround for being able to install everything using AAM was to bring my computer home and download from my home network.

Finally, I have a "clued in" boss who wanted a Macbook air. I have it, and I can get to the internet by supplying the correct proxy credentials. My issue is trying to connect him to windows shares on my network? I know how to do this cold for adding a PC, But need some 101 on how to take this awesome macbook air and add it to the domain and how to get connected to various shares within my DOMAIN. as well as use network printers (I assume that is pretty easy). . . I should add that I can ping the servers in question, I am just not familiar with how to connect to them via Mac. . .I am sure this is laughably easy, I am the king of making things difficult, I swear!

Window resizing and how to keep the window at that size.

Having trouble with the applications window not staying the same size after I resize it. I know that dragging the corner will resize as well as the green button, but after I close it, it reverts back the small window and not to the resized window after I have done the above. Went to an apple store and no one there knew how to fix it or maybe I didn't explain myself very well.

I assume you're opening the Applications folder in a separate window through an alias or a Dock icon... if so, just open it, move and resize it the way you want, then immediately close it again. That should do the trick.

Our plan is to pur server in an AD-Group to get Update Schedule, from the servers will be importet to an Collection for Automatic Update and reboot. If I understand Everything right SCOM can't read AD-Group and put then in an Schedule maintenance mode. SCOM
can read reg value as exempel.
IS there any smar way to make the SCOM Maintenance Mode Schedule dynamic?

You could use Orchestrator to put the servers from a specific collection, or AD group, in maintenance mode in SCOM. For an example see:

I know this is an old thread but i have to give it a try ( i am stuck with an almost identical problem but cant solve it since 5 days googling and reading.
I am developing an app for Unitech HT660e which has Win CE. THe app is complete but now i need some more control over the barcode scanner. In order to gain controll i need to use USI.dll which is explained in this documentation (chapter 2 has the link to
the SDK which contains the USI.dll ) :

But i also get : Cant find PInvoke DLL 'USI.dll'.
In chapter 4 is SysIOAPI.DLL mentioned which i cant fin.
Chapter 17 has USICF.dll which may be interesting bcos this one can be added as reference and "using USICF" . I am using compact framework 3.5 for this and the emulator is "usa windows mobile 5.0 pocket pc r2 emulator".
Reading your post i noticed i can use the "Pocket PC 2003 SE Emulator" but it gives me the same error.
Maybe i need to include a path in my code but i tried this as well...and get the same problem. Maybe i am missing something.
