DPS App Builder - Can't create ipa or zip files

Hello,
I'm following this guide : http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ppcompdoc/Step_by_step_guide_to_dps_se.pdf
But I'm stack on page 55 between number 6 and 7.
The program download my files, and change for this message (FR sorry) :
So it look like it finnishs to download successfully and I think try to compute files.
But quickly, I get this error (where I'm currently stack) :
If I try to translate it, it should be somethink like :
-> Not enough ressources for the "sheet" (?) of thisapplication. To fix it, delete the "sheet" and create a new one in the Folio Builder Panel, and then try to rebuild your application.
I spend half day to fix links and update all the project as I was guessing this error will be a wrong indesign file link.
I can also try to recreate an application, but the error message is (for me) more that you don't know what to do and do not want to lost another half (or full) day just to pop the same error message.
I was already make kind of the same app on a friend account and do not show this error, so if someone already seen it or know how to fix it, it will be really nice.
In the wait time, I start to rebuild all the app from start and let you know if something change.
Thank you.

Sorry, look like my post number 4 was for my second thread.
Anyway I fix it by log out Folio Builder in Indesign and log in again.
BUT I'm still stack on the picture on main post.
AND it is for sure with my new app, made from start, add page per page.
On this new app, the Adobe Content Viewer works fine on Desktop and iPad 3.
To help a bit, I make a Google translate of the massage :
Resources are insufficient for the sheet of this application. To solve this problem, remove the sheet and create a new one using the Folio Builder panel, and try to rebuild your application.
As I now understand, it is maybe just one indesign file to doesn't works, but which one ?
And my book is a translation of an other one (my first one) that work perfectly without trouble. I just change some page as it was French specific.
If someone can help me and save my deadline
So desesperate.
Thank you for reading.

  • Updating my .ipa in DPS App Builder for testing is not working

    Hi there,
I've build my .ipa file in DPS App Builder for testing on my iPad before I publish it to the app store. No problem. I tested it and saw some modifications to make. I made the changes on my folio, updated it in the folio builder of indesign (on the cloud). Then I get back to DPS App Builder and rebuild an .ipa file from the "Manage" and "Modify" windows, it download and test my certifates, seems to work ok. Then I've created the new .ipa file (after erasing the old one on my desktop and iTunes) but when I synch it back on my iPad it's not updated. It's still the first version of my folio without the changes.
I tried to create a new app from the beginning but the single edition serial number does not work anymore. So my only solution is to update my folio, right? But what is the right way to do it? Am I missing something? I didn't find any answer in the step by step guide about that.
Or is it possible to delete completly the first version in DPS App Builder to recreate it without losing my single edition serial number as I didn't submit it to Apple yet?
Do I have something to do in the Folio Producer?
    Thanks for your help.
    Julien.

Single Edition Serial is one time use thus modification is not possible from your end directly in case you wish to use the same serial number. For such cases you need to contact DPS Support, who can get an approval on a serial number reset after reviewing the need.
In this case, I'll take this offline with you in reference to forum post # http://forums.adobe.com/message/5597607.

  • Cannot download developer app (.ipa) in DPS App Builder

I built my articles in InDesign CC 9.2.1, previewed the folio on my desktop and iPad. No problems.
I followed the instructions in the Step-by-Step Guide to Publishing iPad apps. Created the p12 certificates and mobile provisioning files. No problems.
Built the app following the steps on page 49. Select folio... Create app... Signed in... App Details panel... Icons and splash screens... Selected mobile provision files... Create app...
    Everything worked....
But now I've hit a brick wall.
In the DPS App Builder I cannot download the developer app (.ipa) to test on my iPad...
I get a red outline around the developer p12 input field.
I've checked and re-output the developer p12 file and the password... tried again and again...
How can I fix this and move forward?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    OK it worked... fifth try...
I exported a new p12 development certificate from Keychain access (as described on pages 19-20).
Then I logged back into the DPS App Builder... Manage... download developer app (.ipa)... selected the new developer p12... and password....
... after getting a "server error"... tried again and it worked...
For the record I did not do anything different in each of my five attempts... but this time it worked and I was able to download the .ipa file to my desktop...

  • Creating an iPhone app in DPS app builder?

I'm trying to create a test Iphone (Newstand) app before publishing but when I go to 'create app' in Indesign the DPS app builder loads up but doesn't give me the option to create an Iphone app, just a Ipad one?
I've noticed my version of the DPS app builder is on single edition but I have a developers licence now so I assumed that would have changed?
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
    best regards
    Spencer

    Hi Bob,
    Thanks for the info.
So basically I can't create any Iphone apps with what looks like the single edition I have.
I'm trying to create some apps for the Newstand so I've already created a Ipad version but was also hopeing to have a Iphone version too
It says you can create unlimited Ipad apps with the single edition but would that include multiple editions of a magazine rather than an update of an existing one?

  • I'm subscribe creative cloud membership, but the individual membership limits to produce iPad only app. How can I solve this problem? DPS app builder is not showing ipad iphone option, and membership is requiring enterprise subscription.

    Hi,
I'm operating digital publishing company, and I'm an individual subscriber of CC.
When I use DPS app builder for making ipad+iphone app, the DPS is only showing iPad option as default.
And it's not possible to enroll Newsstand app either.
How can I make ipad+iphone app which is fully supporting newsstand?
Is it possible upgrading from individual to professional/enterprise subscriber?

You will need at least a professional DPS account. Creative Cloud allows only single edition iPad apps.

  • I have a problem, i can't generate with DPS App Builder "App distribuzione.zip" to be sent to Apple to publish APP, this is the error message: is not a valid distribution certificate Apple. What do I do?

I have a problem, i can't generate with DPS App Builder "App distribuzione.zip" to be sent to Apple to publish APP, this is the error message: is not a valid distribution certificate Apple. What do I do?

As Bern510 says, you'll need to recreate certificates that are valid. I suggest following our step-by-step publishing guide, which walks through how to obtain certificates correctly.

  • Use the desktop DPS App Builder to create a legacy (AIR-based) app for Android devices.

It looks like this option has been stripped off the DPS dashboard for me to access. Can anyone confirm this? Is there another way to access the Air-based android app?

There is a link to download DPS App Builder on this page:

  • Can anyone help with this error code# 2038. I can't install the DPS App Builder?

I keep trying to install this Adobe Air file and it will not install. Any help?
    Thanks,

    Neil,
Funny... I don't seem to have the DPS App Builder in my Applications folder. Is there somewhere else it might exist?

  • Can't download the current version of DPS App Builder

It keeps going in a loop. I download it it installs, I sign in and it says the same thing "This version of DPS App Builder has expired. Please remove your existing version and download the latest release from http://www.adobe.com/go/digpubsuite_vb_mac"
I have followed all the instructions and removed the app… just keeps going in a loop to no where.

Clear your browser cache and then download it again. That'll do the trick.

  • Can't advance in DPS App Builder

Hello, I am in DPS App Builder at the App Details stage. I have filed in App Name and Title, but cannot advance to next screen. Have updated Indesign 2014, restarted - still have same result. The 'Next' button highlights, but won't active. Thanks! James

Neil - I've followed the suggestions you've made, but I'm still experiencing this issue. I've contacted adobe support, Case # 0186577346, but they have not yet been able to provide a solution. I'm a single edition user anxiously trying to beat the May 1st deadline and get this app published. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • DPS App Builder Alert

I'm trying to build a single edition app like I have in the past. This time I get the alert below. I've clicked on the “Create App” option in the Folio Builder panel in InDesign, but when the DPS App Builder launches I get this message and no option to manage the app I'm trying to create. I can see my folio in the Folio Producer panel in the browser, but I can't find a way to continue to create my .zip and .ipa files.

I tried the non-techie trick of restarting my computer. that worked.

  • V2.6.0 DPS App Builder Break Custom Storefront API no long accessible ?

It appears that the new DPS App Builder breaks custom store API ...
try "adobe" in mobile safari web inspector console says "ReferenceError: Can't find variable: adobe"
My older IPA created by previous version of DPS App Builder works just fine ...
anyone else have the same issue ?

You should definitely fix this, it's such a waste to spend hours of our time to figure out what's wrong with the custom store not working.
Also maybe this should go on with another thread, there were quite a few additional DPS App Builder bugs I've discouvered over the last few days.
For instance, when you update the existing build by toggle between "Use legacy Store API" the previous version of custom store stored on the server actually dispeared. But it did not remove the icon on the bottom of the navigation, this cause an illusion that the custom store still exists but in fact it's overlaying the "viewer" icon. Since the viewer has no such thing about customization, it causes confusion to the end user think the custom store are no longer avaiable.

  • How to move an App from one mac to DPS App builder on another mac

When I try to download the Developer app, after adding new UDIDs to the provisioning certificate, I get an error stating the app was built on a different machine. Everything works great when completed from the original Mac that I did the build on. (this was created on a "freelance design" machine and now needs to move to the company machine. I have tried to delete the app and start over, howeve the "Delete" option is grayed out. Using the single edition app.

If you are a Creative Cloud subscriber, you would need to have InDesign Installed on the new Mac. Then you need to click on 'Create App' from Folio Builder Panel in InDesign on the new Mac. That will launch DPS App Builder and embedd the folio in your App. So bottomline is that you need to do this process on the new Mac.
If you however purchased DPS Single Edition ($395) you may export the Folio from Folio Producer and then import the folio in DPS App Builder and continue buliding the App.
I can delete the app for you, send me your DPS App Builder id and App name via Private Message.
