DPS App Builder - "custom-icon-disabled-png" not found

Hi,
just tried to upgrade one of our Amazon/Android Apps to v26.  After pressing "Create App" (but in German), I go this pesky little error message
After re-assigning all icon images still the same error message.
Anybody who can shed some light on the issue?
Regards
Benjamin

I have had the same problem.
After reassigning all icons splash screens and zip files I got the same message.
I quitted the DPS App Builder and have updated the App again without reassigning the icons, ... again.
After that everything went fine.
Maybe you try to do the same.

  • DPS APP Builder - Custom Storefront

    Hello,
durig the last days, there must have been some changes for the app settings in the DPS APP Builder.
We can no longer lock the orientation für an iPhone storefront/library.
IMHO it even makes no sense, to have a landscape storefront on an iPhone.
On the iPad settings the orientation lock is still present.
    APP Builder version: 2.3.2.70.60038
    hybrid APP iPad/iPhone
    kind regards
    Michael

You should definitely fix this, it's such a waste to spend hours of our time to figure out what's wrong with the custom store not working.
Also maybe this should go on with another thread, there were quite a few additional DPS App Builder bugs I've discouvered over the last few days.
For instance, when you update the existing build by toggle between "Use legacy Store API" the previous version of custom store stored on the server actually dispeared. But it did not remove the icon on the bottom of the navigation, this cause an illusion that the custom store still exists but in fact it's overlaying the "viewer" icon. Since the viewer has no such thing about customization, it causes confusion to the end user think the custom store are no longer avaiable.

  • DPS App Builder Custom HTML Store & Library

    Hi there,
It was possible to hide DPS navigation toolbar while using custom app library by unchecking "Show navigation toolbar" checkbox.
But now, with last update of the DPS App Builder, this doesn't work any more.
Now if I uncheck this checkbox my application always shows me standard DPS library tab.
Is there any way to use custom HTML Tab without DPS navigation toolbar?
The reason why I want to hide standard DPS navigation toolbar is that I want to realize my own navigation toolbar with extra functionality.
And it worked perfect with DPS v24, v25 (using previous version of the DPS App Builder ).
    Please help.
    Thank you!
    Best regards,

I mean enable the navigation toolbar. Mistyped

  • Problems downloading in the DPS App builder

I am having problems creating my test app in the DPS App builder.
I can create and send app from (InDesign CS6) the folio builder–to the DPS App builder, but when I reach the final screen nothing appears listed under the "Downloads" area. The app type only appears as "built-in single edition app" and directs me to 'activate app' and purchase a serial number, which is not what i want to do. I just want to download it to iTunes to test it on my personal iPad.
It's the same issue from this thread..
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4786587
I followed the steps closely (installing updates to InDesign, reinstalling the DPS App builder) but it is still not working.
    I'm really stuck, help!!!
    Ryan

Any CC membership will do. You need to firtly go to InDesign and use the create app link from Folio builder Panel, that will launch your DPS App Builder, sign in with your CCM id and create an app. You should be able to download the build, if not then we may need to delete your previous build, send me a PM with your Viewer Builder id.

  • V2.6.0 DPS App Builder Break Custom Storefront API no long accessible ?

It appears that the new DPS App Builder breaks custom store API ...
try "adobe" in mobile safari web inspector console says "ReferenceError: Can't find variable: adobe"
My older IPA created by previous version of DPS App Builder works just fine ...
anyone else have the same issue ?

  • Updating my .ipa in DPS App Builder for testing is not working

    Hi there,
I've build my .ipa file in DPS App Builder for testing on my iPad before I publish it to the app store. No problem. I tested it and saw some modifications to make. I made the changes on my folio, updated it in the folio builder of indesign (on the cloud). Then I get back to DPS App Builder and rebuild an .ipa file from the "Manage" and "Modify" windows, it download and test my certifates, seems to work ok. Then I've created the new .ipa file (after erasing the old one on my desktop and iTunes) but when I synch it back on my iPad it's not updated. It's still the first version of my folio without the changes.
I tried to create a new app from the beginning but the single edition serial number does not work anymore. So my only solution is to update my folio, right? But what is the right way to do it? Am I missing something? I didn't find any answer in the step by step guide about that.
Or is it possible to delete completly the first version in DPS App Builder to recreate it without losing my single edition serial number as I didn't submit it to Apple yet?
Do I have something to do in the Folio Producer?
    Thanks for your help.
    Julien.

Single Edition Serial is one time use thus modification is not possible from your end directly in case you wish to use the same serial number. For such cases you need to contact DPS Support, who can get an approval on a serial number reset after reviewing the need.
In this case, I'll take this offline with you in reference to forum post # http://forums.adobe.com/message/5597607.

  • Error when starting DPS App Builder - Application not found

    WTF folks.
This morning I open my document (CS5) and it says I have to update my folio tools (needless to say i hate it to be forced to do an update before I can start working).
Well, I do an update, both tools (Folio Builder and Producer Tools).
Now there seem to be some changes, I cant refresh my folio via menu anymore. When choosing the new "build app"-option I get an error :
"An error occured while starting DPS App Builder. The DPS App-Builder Application was not found" (translated).
German original version: "Beim Starten von DPS App Builder ist ein Fehler aufgetreten. Die DPS App Builder-Anwendung wurde nicht gefunden."
Any Solutions? Where to get the mysterious "App-Builder Application?"
edit: refresh is now only possible inside the folio it seems.

App Builder is nothing but a new name to Viewer Builder. Download it from DPS Dashbaord.

  • I'm subscribe creative cloud membership, but the individual membership limits to produce iPad only app. How can I solve this problem? DPS app builder is not showing ipad iphone option, and membership is requiring enterprise subscription.

    Hi,
I'm operating digital publishing company, and I'm an individual subscriber of CC.
When I use DPS app builder for making ipad+iphone app, the DPS is only showing iPad option as default.
And it's not possible to enroll Newsstand app either.
How can I make ipad+iphone app which is fully supporting newsstand?
Is it possible upgrading from individual to professional/enterprise subscriber?

You will need at least a professional DPS account. Creative Cloud allows only single edition iPad apps.

  • I have a problem, i can't generate with DPS App Builder "App distribuzione.zip" to be sent to Apple to publish APP, this is the error message: is not a valid distribution certificate Apple. What do I do?

I have a problem, i can't generate with DPS App Builder "App distribuzione.zip" to be sent to Apple to publish APP, this is the error message: is not a valid distribution certificate Apple. What do I do?

As Bern510 says, you'll need to recreate certificates that are valid. I suggest following our step-by-step publishing guide, which walks through how to obtain certificates correctly.

  • App update with old icon (DPS App Builder)

Hi! we have a problem! we make an app with DPS APP Builder and we send it to Apple to approvation
When it was accepted we make some change in the icons and splash and we had reloaded teh app
But now we have some problems with the new and the old icon.
So in the ipad 1024x768 i see the old icon in App store, when i click the preview i see the new icon but when i download it, the icon and splash is right!
In the ipad 2048x1536 i see the new icon in App store but when i download it the icon and the splashes are wrong...
In the iphone i see the old icon in App store, when i click the preview i see the new icon, but when i download it i see the old one...
This is the first time we download the app on all devices (except for 2048x1536) so it can't be an issue tied to traces of previous versions on iCloud...
    The app name is: EASYKART&KGP
    Someone can help us pleaseeeeeee??

Yes we build also for Android device. I send you the
picture of DPS Menu where you can read the ID App for andriod and Apple.
Just a question, do you think we have to create two different Adobe account for android and apple.
    For example
    Apple: [email protected]
    android: [email protected]
Because at the moment we have the same account for both (as you can see from this second screeshot)
    thank you very much!!

    Then you either need to:
    1) Sign up for Creative Cloud so you can build a Single Edition app. Be warned though: this approach will no longer be valid as of May 1st when we retire support for Single Edition in Creative Cloud, and Single Edition apps are only on iPad devices.
    2) Sign up for a full DPS license. You can request pricing information by filling in Adobe | Request for consultation.

  • Cannot download developer app (.ipa) in DPS App Builder

I built my articles in InDesign CC 9.2.1, previewed the folio on my desktop and iPad. No problems.
I followed the instructions in the Step-by-Step Guide to Publishing iPad apps. Created the p12 certificates and mobile provisioning files. No problems.
Built the app following the steps on page 49. Select folio... Create app... Signed in... App Details panel... Icons and splash screens... Selected mobile provision files... Create app...
    Everything worked....
But now I've hit a brick wall.
In the DPS App Builder I cannot download the developer app (.ipa) to test on my iPad...
I get a red outline around the developer p12 input field.
I've checked and re-output the developer p12 file and the password... tried again and again...
How can I fix this and move forward?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    OK it worked... fifth try...
I exported a new p12 development certificate from Keychain access (as described on pages 19-20).
Then I logged back into the DPS App Builder... Manage... download developer app (.ipa)... selected the new developer p12... and password....
... after getting a "server error"... tried again and it worked...
For the record I did not do anything different in each of my five attempts... but this time it worked and I was able to download the .ipa file to my desktop...

  • Title ID doesn't recognize DPS App builder user

I'm in the process of creating my first app with the Professional edition. I added a new user and set the user to DPS App Builder. When I try to use the DPS App Builder user email in the DPS App Builder, it's not recognized. I've tried signing out, reinstalling DPS App Builder. Not sure what else to do? Also should note that I don't have a user designated as an Application user. It seems like you only need any Application user if you are creating a custom viewer, which I'm not, since I'm using the Professional edition. Could this be the cause?
I also tried to set the DPS App Builder user as Account Administrator, but I get an error - "Sorry. An error occurred. Please try again."

App builder role : Used to login to App builder to create App
Application Role: Used as the "Title ID" in App builder when creating an app. This is the same email ID from which your folios are published for that particular app you are about to create
So, make sure you have two ID's, one with App builder role and another with application role to be able to create an app in a Pro account

  • DPS APP Builder Error Code 1

    Hello,
I'm getting an Error Code 1 message when trying to download the test APP from the DPS APP Builder. I've tried re-building the document (a process that takes almost 8 hours in my case as our APP features 110 articles including almost 1000 images), updating it, generating new certificates and any other workaround mentioned in a previous discussion about this same subject. Nothing worked for me.
The only workaround I haven't tried is deleting the folio from ~/Library/Preferences/StageManager.BD092818F67280F4B42B04877600987F01 11B594.1/Local Store/dmp.
Apparently, there's nothing called "StageManager" in my MacBook Pro. Not in this route neither in any other route.
Any idea about how to solve this? (if possible without re-building once again the whole document) We can't wait until the error code 1 bug is fixed in future Adobe updates as we need to submit the APP to Apple next week.
    Thanks for your time.

    Anyone can help??
    Update my latest experimental results.
I found that issue was folio package related.
Because when I use another folio package to the same app item in App Builder, this error message does not appear.
But the original package in exchange, this error information occurs.
Are there helpful to solve this problem?

  • I'm getting the "App Activate" error when I try to download my bundles from the DPS App Builder.

I have a Single-App subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud.
According to this FAQ (link: http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html#single-app) I should be able to publish unlimited single .folios with DPS with my Single-App subscription to the Creative Cloud. Here is the exact paragraph I'm refering to from that FAQ:
As a Creative Cloud member, do I have access to Digital Publishing Suite?
Digital Publishing Suite Single Edition is not available to free Creative Cloud members. Creative Cloud single-app and complete members have an unlimited Digital Publishing Suite Single Edition license. Creative Cloud for teams members also have an unlimited Digital Publishing Suite Single Edition license.
When I build the app in the DPS App Builder and reach the end of the process, I'm getting the error where it asks me to provide a Single Edition subscription serial to download the developer bundles for my app.
I have tried all the methods described on this forum to solve this problem, including deleting and reinstalling the DPS App Builder, deleting the old apps and creating new ones after redownloading the DPS App Builder, deleting the DPS App Builder, signing out of my Folio Builder in InDesign, redownloading the DPS App Builder, signing into my Folio Builder in InDesign again, etc., to no avail.
Can anyone help? This is a time-sensitive issue and I'm trying to get this app into the Apple submission process immediately. I can answer any questions if you all have troubleshooting advice for me.
    Thanks,
    David

Thank you for the information and the response. We will be upgrading to the full version of Creative Cloud to publish our single .folio.
I do want to remark on the issues created by Adobe's inconsistent explanation of how DPS can be used with the Creative Cloud. After reading that FAQ, I also spoke with an "Adobe Agent" through the chat system that pops up on various product pages and asked the agent as specifically as I could if the Single-app version of Creative Cloud would allow me to publish single .folios through DPS. In no uncertain terms the agent said the Single-app version would be fine, and referred me to the order page to begin the order process.
I spoke with another agent over chat in the morning on Saturday and they also said I should be able to publish single .folios with the Singe-app subscription to Creative Cloud. When I presented my App Activation problem to the agent, the agent said I should just wait 24-48 hours for my subscription to Creative Cloud to process so I could create my app.
This has been a very vexing process that has cost my team valuable app review time. If I had not encountered the FAQ and two agents who specifically told me that I could use the Single-app version of Creative Cloud to publish my .folio, I would have been happy to go straight to purchasing the full version of Creative Cloud.
    Thanks again for the assistance.
