DPS(PDF) on Content Viewer V24 for iPad

Hi all,
I created DPS Magazine Decmber issue (1024 x 768: Image = PDF),
and checked it(not published folo) on Content viewer v24(2.9.0.0.63929) for iPad.
I set Folio version: v22 on Folio Builder menu, because of my released viewer app is v22.
On iPad1, pinch-zoom works well, but text rendering doesn't work.
On iPad2, New iPad, pinch-zoom and text rendering work well.
My DPS Magazine Novermber issue, text rendering also doesn't work on v24 iPad1.
It worked well on v23 iPad1.
Is this a just problem of Content viewer v24(2.9.0.0.63929) for iPad?

I was able to replicate the issue and have reported this as a Bug. I'll update you directly when this is resolved.

  • Help on adobe content viewer ? for ipad/pc combo

I loaded the adobe content viewer on my Ipad and it says my authentiction is not valid, but when I sign in on the computer P/C I get in.. Any suggestions or ideas as to why I cant get in on the Ipad??

Apple hasn't rejected the viewer. They're just taking a longer time than usual for whatever reason.
The current version of the iPad viewer works with the 1.0.x version of the tools. If you need to view folios on the iPad, you can uninstall the 1.1.x tools and install the 1.0.x tools (or use the v11 tools from prerelease). Or, if you're a paying customer, you can use the Viewer Builder to create a custom viewer that lets you preview content on the iPad.

  • Content Viewer app for iPad not logging in?

I've checked all the boxes in troubleshooting this, they don't apply. Log in first via website, check, on both Windows Chrome and iPad Safari, still get Authentication Failed error with identical logon info from the Content Viewer app.
Online chat help could only suggest that an Adobe server was having issues. The DPS portal currently reports no issues with the web Content Viewer, not sure that is the same thing as the iPad app. Maybe DPS folks just don't know about this one yet, and they've left the building for a week on holiday.
Anyone here have any ideas? I'm not a DPS subscriber, and the app does not seem to require that, only an Adobe ID, which I created years ago and which is still working through the web. I need the content viewer for iPad to review work by people who are subscribers to DPS.
Thanks for any help or perspective you can provide.

On a computer, sign in to http://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com and follow the prompts to verify your email account with DPS. You should then be able to sign in.

  • When is the 'Adobe Content Viewer app' for iPad going to be updated?

I really need this app to view my content and to meet my deadlines! Adobe have told me it's Apple that is holding the approval up?

Sorry, no idea. We're all just fellow users here and have no insight into the processes within the iTunes Store, and you'll never get a response from Apple in these forums.
Speaking strictly for me (I'm the only one I can speak for), I'm not sure how Bob Levine would know that Apple is sitting on an update unless he works for Adobe (as he may, though I would think his profile there would say so). But his statement that the version of Adobe Content Viewer is the "original version" is incorrect, if that's what he really meant to say. The version in the iTunes Store is by no means the original, it's up to 1.7.0, and was last updated on May 16th of this year. There may indeed be a new version awaiting approval, though; I have no way of knowing. If there is, though, it would not seem that Apple has been sitting on it for all that long.
    Regards.

  • How to I get my Edge animations to work in Content viewer on the ipad?

I've created several animation in Animate, they preview fine in the browser. I have placed them into InDesign, they preview fine on the desktop. I upload the to view via the ADobe Content Viewer on my ipad - nothing. I have tried using the Web Content route and placing the html file, still nothing. I've checked for updates of everything and appear to be up to date. Need help!

On an iOS device, or on a computer without iTunes installed on it, you can view your last 90 days purchases (and optionally contact iTunes Supportif you have a problem with a purchase) via http://reportaproblem.apple.com
You can only view your full purchase history (not just the last 90 days) via a computer's iTunes : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it, click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases

  • Cannot log in to The Adobe Content Viewer on my iPad - Says Authentication Failed?

Cannot login to the Adobe Content Viewer on my ipad.
    Says: Authentication Failed...

    Check two things:
    1) Make sure your device is connected to the Internet.
    2) Make sure that the Adobe ID you're using is verified to work with DPS. On a computer, sign in to https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com, and follow the prompts.
Let us know if you have a valid Adobe ID and you're still getting this error.

  • DPS and the content viewer

So I am new to the DPS world and I would like to know if when sharing the Folio that I made, the person that I shared it with can view it. Can they view it without the content viewer on the ipad, and can they view it without Indesign, and the DPS tools?

They will need to use the Adobe Content Viewer on their iPad.
The DPS help system has answers to many beginner and advanced questions.

I have downloaded and istalled Adobe Content Viewer to my iPad. When I try to sign in with my Adobe ID, I keep getting Authentication Failure, what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks for the quick reply.
Do you have any examples of system extensions or accessibility features that might be the culprit?  I have actually never heard of those terms before.

  • Adobe DPS Folio and Content Viewer Query

    Hello,
I am currently creating folios using the Foilo Overlays and Folio Builder and then previewing them on the Content Viewer on the iPad. My question is after the 1st May will I still have the ability to do this? I don't create app just preview them on my iPad to see how they work. If anyone can give me an answer it would be much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Alan

Yes, after May 1, you'll still be able to create, edit, and share folios, and you can use Adobe Content Viewer to view folios. You just won't be able to build single-folio apps using a Single Edition or Creative Cloud license.

  • Problems w Adobe Content Viewer on my iPad

    Hello
Adobe Content Viewer on my iPad is not recognizing my ID and pass, i sign in online but the app is not working.
I already deleted it and re-downloaded it and nothing.

Did you go to digitalpublishing.acrobat.com, log in with that Adobe ID and accept the terms of use? If not, do so using a computer. You cannot do it from a mobile device.

  • Adobe DPS and web content viewer issues

Having an issue with the tablet and web content viewer version of this particular article. I've create two separate documents one for iPad and one for iPhone, reuploaded the article and recreate the entire article all in the hopes that it would resolve the issue. Any ideas as to how I can remedy this problem? Thanks.

This is a known issue with smooth scrolling articles in the web viewer: From Digital Publishing Suite Help | DPS Bug Fix Release Notes:
"Smooth Scrolling articles in web viewer may not display properly on the last page if the length of the smooth scrolling article is not an exact multiple of the folio height. For example, the last page of a 1024x2000 article may be cropped, but a 1024x1536 (2 times the height) or a 1024x2304 (3 times the height) should display fine. The issue is especially common in portrait orientation. One workaround is to make the height of the smooth scrolling page height an exact multiple of the folio height. Another workaround is to use PNG image format for the Smooth Scrolling article instead of PDF."

  • Viewing DPS folio on Content Viewer on PC

I am developing a DPS folio on a Mac for publication on iOS devices. I have a co-worker who needs to review my content on a PC. He is not using Adobe apps but has downloaded the Content Viewer on his PC. I have shared my folio with him and he can read it on an iPad. But we have not found a way for him to access my folio on a PC. Is this possible?

    Thanks Bob,
Actually, the content viewer on a PC can be downloaded at http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/help/installing-digital-publishing-tools.h tml and since it's a standalone executable, it does not require InDesign, etc., to be installed.
Yes, this person has an Adobe ID (but not Creative Suite) and yes, I have successfully shared this folio.
He and others would like to use Adobe Connect to review this app with me. The group I work within are mostly developers using PCs and I am developing documentation on a Mac/Creative Suite.

  • Folio not appearing in Adobe Content Viewer on some iPads

I have been working on developing an app for iPad in InDesign CS6 using Adobe DPS. For the most part, the process was working smoothly until recently. Once signed into Adobe Content Viewer on my third generation iPad, the folio shows up fine and downloads as expected. However, when others with older iPads download Content Viewer and sign in, they do not see the folio as an option. For example, a person with a second generation iPad, who has the latest iOS, was unable to see the folio in the viewer. I have stripped the app down to about 40megs, thinking size might have been an issue, but after multiple users have experience identical results, I don't think that is it. Has anyone had a similar issue, and is there anything I can do on my end to make the app compatible with a wider range of iPads?

Is it a single-folio app or a multi-folio app? If you set up renditions for a multi-folio app, only the appropriate rendition is available for a device. See this article about renditions:
