DPS Tools for InDesign CS5 / CS5.5

Hi everyone.
Can't find download link of DPS Tools for InDesign CS5 / CS5.5. on Adobe site.
We plan to use CS5/CS5.5, cause we use  WoodWing Enterprise in production.
Anyone can help us to download latest builds for CS5/CS5.5?
Thanks
Thanks

Hi Tomek
I know about that, but WoodWing customer can still use InDesign CS5/CS5.5.
Quote from dps-faq-indesign5and5.5:
>>>
How did this product change impact me if I am a WoodWing or vjoon K4 customer?
WoodWing and vjoon K4 pure EWS customers see no impact. WoodWing and vjoon continues to work for InDesign CS5 and CS5.5, however the creation of folios will be capped at v31. Pure refers to the vjoon customers using only the vjoon K4 user interface that do not also use the folio builder panel.
Hybrid WoodWing and K4 customers (those that do not disable Folio Builder panel and those using the Overlay Creator panel) are impacted. The Folio Builder Panel no longer functions in CS5 and CS5.5. v31 will be the last release for Overlay Creator panel and the Digital Publishing plugin for CS5 and CS5.5. There will be no updates or bug fixes to the Overlay Creator panel or Digital Publishing plugin for InDesign CS5 and CS5.5.
<<<
So we  need to download  v.31 tolls.
Could you help me  with that?

    Hi,
I'm trying to install DPS-tools for CC, while CS 6 is still on our Macs (School with CS6-students @home) and I get the error, your administrator is blokking upgrades.
While i'm logged in as admin on my computer.
Though Folio Builder works on CS6 but i can't update (the folio builder tools) it either.
We would prefer to teach folios etc. in CC.

Chatted with an Adobe-support-guy, its a print related issue, here's there number. 800 .....

Sam then it is likely the packages were modified to prevent this functionality.  Please utilize the Creative Cloud Packager to create new deployment packages.  You can find more details at http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/packager.html.
If you have any inquiries regarding the process I would recommend posting to the Enterprise Deployment for Creative Cloud, Creative Suite forum - http://forums.adobe.com/community/download_install_setup/creative_suite_enterprise_deploym ent.

  • How to package DPS Tools for InDesign CC

    Hi,
We are using the creative cloud packager to deploy Adobe CC at my College. I tried integrating the DPS tools version 32 for Indesign CC 2014 :
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=182&platform=Macintosh
But it doesn't work. Here's what I tried
Start Indesign and go in Help > updates. Doesn't work because it is greyed out
Building a new package and give it the path to the patch folder (AdobeDigitalPublishingCC2014)
Simply double click on the patch on one of the computers. Doesn't work, it says that the updates are disabled.
Is there a way to enable software updates once Adobe CC is deployed? If not, how can we package the updates in our installer.
    Thank you!

  • Issue in setting Load balancing for Indesign Server CS5.5

    Hi All,
I need to set up load balancing mechanism for Indesign Server CS5.5 on Windows Server 2008 R2(64 bit version).
I have dutifully following all steps defined in "WORKING WITH LOAD BALANCING AND QUEUEING FOR ADOBE INDESIGN CS5 SERVER.pdf"
After running Indesign server using batch file "startup-indesign-server-CORBA-4instances.bat" from "<ID_SDK>\samples\load-balancing-and-queuing-clients\indesignserver-startup-scripts", I get only one instance of Indesign Server running. How to run multiple instances of the INDD server ? Is running multiple instance has something to do with type of licensing ?
Now I run Clover.cmd script, I get this screen. I have no idea why its not working. Please help. Please let me know, if the scenario is not clear and more information is required.
    Thnx,

  • Visual Studio compiling 64 Bit Plugin for InDesign Server CS5

    Hello guys,
Again I have a problem compiling 64 bit plugins, but this time in windows environments, the 32 bit compiling works fine (also on 64 bit machines). The first thing I've done was creating a new project configuration for 64 bit environments copying the 32 bit settings. Now I changed the precompiled libraries to use the 64 bit ones and changed the output directories. After that the compilation process completed without errors, but the resource files have not been copied to the output directory (the directory for them has been created, but it remains empty). Adding the created plugin into the servers directory ends up with a server message that the plugin could not be recognized. Have I missed something that is necessary for compiling 64 bit plugins?
I'm using the 64 Bit Developer Version of the indesign server CS5. The operating system is a Windows Server 2008 x64 R2 with Visual Studio 2008.
    Thanks!
P.S. a plugin compiled with 32 bit settings (including 32 bit libraries) also works for the 64 bit version of the server, so does it make any difference if I'm using 32 bit or 64 bit libraries?

The libraries were all correct (all using 64-bit).  The problem was a pathing issue.  libxml2 needs iconv.dll, but it couldn't find the 64-bit version that I built.  Once it found it, everything worked correctly.
The funny thing about depends.exe is that it isn't right all the time.  For example, if you open one of the 64-bit .aip files that ships with Illustrator (rename it to .dll first), you'll see what I'm talking about.  It complains that you're mixing x86 and x64 CPU types, even though you're not.
The program I used to discover my issue is Process Monitor (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx).  I've been using it for years and love it.

  • DPS Desktop tools for InDesign?

The other day I saw this (link) about Adobe Digital Publishing Suite and was briefly interested in it.  I requested a demo to learn more about it, but somehow I was never able to learn much about it and soon I just forgot about it.   Later today I noticed I have two updates for Indesign (both CC and 2014)  but discovered it was actually to update them with DPS Desktop tools.  But, I have not updated them....just not yet!!   I don't know if it is because I had shown interested in Digital Publishing Suite that the tools are automatically added to InDesign in my account?  And does it cost extra if I have to use DPS Desktop tools?  (It never said anything about how much it cost to use Digital Publishing Suite anyhow.)
Honestly I don't really know about Digital Publishing Suite...not enough info...and I'm kinda concerned because I could unwittingly have done something I am not ready for, and could end up paying hidden costs I know nothing about.  :S
    Thanks.

    Hi Tadavi77,
Digital Publishing Suite is basically an addon to InDesign application and comes as an update.
Digital Publishing Suite is meant to create digital publication for different mobile devices e.g. iPhone, Android, Kindle etc.
Please refer the following overview article and video tutorial.
Digital publishing software, mobile apps | Adobe Digital Publishing Suite
Learn Digital Publishing Suite | Adobe TV
    Hope this helps.

  • Tools for converting Flash CS5 to recent version of Captivate

I need to convert several courses designed in Flash CS5 (using AS2) to Captivate, preferably Cap 8.  Are there any tools that can do a good job of this?

I've never seen "Protected Mode" for Flash Player on Mac or Windows.
FWIW I went to that link and the video had "buffering problems" on my Mac (Late 2012 Mini, Core i5 quad core 2.5ghz, with 8Gb RAM). That would tell me it's a bandwidth problem at the site an NOT on your (or my) Mac.
I had a terrible time with a reboot yesterday and (I haven't done  it since I had a G3 iMac way back in 2004) I reset my PRAM and it was like the whole thing got faster. I'd been having YouTube buffering issues, especially downloading videos. They were averaging about 35-50Kbps before I did the reset. 1.2Mbps after.
If you've never done that it's as simple (not really "simple") as shutting down completely, and then holding the Cmd, Shift, P and R keys (that's the hard part) when you press the power button. Listen for the "chime" three times and then release the keys. Your mac will boot and things should improve almost everywhere.

  • Bridge talk for InDesign CS4/CS5 js

    Hi,
Have this code that opens file in Ph and resaves it in different format. In this case I need to adjust it to open pdf file in photoshop and set crop to media box. It works with pdf files as is, but if there is white space around artwork, it gets removed. How can I set it to open with media box:
    function ResaveInPS(myImagePath, myNewPath) {
         try {
               var myPsDoc = app.open(new File(myImagePath));
                 if (myPsDoc.mode == DocumentMode.CMYK) {

              myPsDoc.saveAs(new File(myNewPath), myPNGSaveOptions, true);

  • Bridge talk for InDesign CS4/CS5

Hi, I am looking for any documentation I can find for Bridge talk scripting. So far nothing comes with the search. Does anyone know any sources.
    Thank you very much.
    Yulia

I wouldn't agree with Mark that the JavaScript Tools Guide contains all the necessary information. The description is scarce and obscure, the sample code contains typos which makes things more difficult.
I suggest you to download Bridge SDK which contains a few
excellent samples of using BridgeTalk. They all work and are well commented. So you can run these samples and read the JavaScript Tools Guide to understand how they work.
I also recommend you to read this post.
In my opinion BridgeTalk is a very powerful and useful feature but not many scripters venture to use it.

  • Can't install DPS tools for CC 14?

I am currently trying to update the application so that I can integrate it with Indesign CC 2014  but I keep getting the same error when trying to install the Adobe update for CC 14.
It says that the updates could not be applied because the updates have been suppressed by the administrator? Does anyone know what this means and how can I fix it?

See Disable auto-updates | Application Manager | IT administrators. Check and see if you have an "AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat" file in the location listed on the page, and if you do rename it to something else (e.g. "AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat.old")

  • InDesign Server CS5.5 installation issue

I am developing solution using InDesign Servers via COM which is hosted on Windows Server 2008 R2. And I am experiencing problem utilizing CS 5.5 server:
When InDesign Server CS5.5 is installed on Windows Server 2008  (64bit) its COM component is registered with following parameters: CLSID = {96D10A00-63E3-423e-A223-DFC4BEA21206}, ProgId =  InDesignServer.Application.CS5.
The problem is that those are the same parameters that are used for InDesign Server CS5 COM component. And therefore I can't have CS5 and CS5.5 installed on the same server, which is required for solution I am deleloping.
Has anyone experienced that problem or maybe know some workaround for it?
Meanwhile, When InDesign Server CS5.5 is installed on Windows 7 (32bit) its COM component is registered with unique parameters: CLSID ={34701EBC-5975-411C-8A45-E78E0934AADD}  and ProgId = InDesignServer.Application.CS5.5

    Hi Alexey
I'm having trouble doing exactly what you say you have done.
I'm trying to run InDesign Server CS5 and InDesign Server CS5.5 on the same Windows 2008 r2 64bit installation. InDesign Servers are Single Instance.
I am only allowed to run one InDesign Server at once - not both.
Is this possible for you or any other in this forum?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Trouble updating InDesign CC 2014 so I can use DPS tools.

I am trying to update InDesign CC 2014 so I can use DPS tools. But "updates" is grayed out. I noticed that CC desktop says InDesign is up to date. Any suggestions?

You could try renaming your AdobeUpdateAdminPrefs.dat file. It looks like Adobe CS6 and CC have an automatic update mechanism that can sometimes prevent users from seeing available updates.
    - Locate the file:
    Mac OS
    <Startup Disk>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat
Windows 7.0 and Higher (32 bit)
    C:\Program files\common files\adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0\AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat
Windows 7.0 and higher (64 bit)
    C:\Program files(x86)\common files\adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0\AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat
    - Try renaming the file, such as AdobeUpdateAdminPrefs-old.dat
    - Restart InDesign
    - See if the update is now available

  • Are Multi-state Objects Supported in Version 11 DPS tools?

    Hello Everyone!
I was wondering if multi-state objects are supported in V11 of DPS tools for example if i create a multi state object and build it for an iPad,
Will the MSO work with V11?
    On Another note,
Horizontal Swipe won't work on V11 right?
    Thanks!

    Hi Bob,
I was given the green light to proceed with MSOs and on their spec sheet it said they supported multi state objects.
Here's a quick mock up of something similar we did.
The arrows are part of the state, as well as the image and text, so there's buttons within the states.
Something like that would not be possible?
The reason we did it this way was because they wanted everthing in one page, so the only way to fit multiple pages into one was to create MSOs, i originally had it as seperate pages were the user would click the arrow and it would take you to the next page instead of the next mso.
    Thanks bob!

  • Ann: World Tools for CS5 released

I believe we can now say with confidence that World Tools is the most complete solution for multilingual layout available!
World Tools CS5 comes in two versions. One adds ME support, and the second "World Tools Plus" adds CJK support as well!
We've done a lot of work to improve the UI and integrate it into the native dialogs of InDesign. We reworked it from the ground up, and I think you'll find it to be a much nicer experience.
The "Plus" version also has a composite font editor which has always existed in the CJK versions.
    Here's the announcement:
    http://in-tools.com/wordpress/indesign/plugins/world-tools-cs5-with-me-and-cjk-support
And there's more info, as well as screenshots on the product page:
    http://in-tools.com/worldtoolspluscs5.html
It's available for download on the product page as a 20 day trial.

    Thanks.
One interesting tidbit about World Tools:
If I'm not mistaken it's the first three-way hybrid plugin commercially available for InDesign.
It has (besides for APID): two C++ plugins, three different Flash applications, and quite a bit of ExtendScript code all seamlessly working together. It was quite a project...
