What are its release notes, improvements?
to my knowledge the 140D firmware - make this drive to 8+ 8- instead 8+ by 4- (original speed). with HD burn enable.there is 140I - without HD burn features.
after flashing to 140D firmware through pri master IDE last night, the drive is working fine with me.
Now testing it with That's 8x dvd-r media ... etc
Details at here soon

How does it perform?  I have no 8x -R media to test :(

  • System dead after flashing BIOS

I posted the note about my system hanging in the post screen for a few minutes before windows kicks in. It was in relation to hooking up a USB keyboard.  Anyway a simple problem turned into a nightmare.    After doing and checking some of the things some of the guys recomended, I decided to check my version of BIOS through live update. Low and behold a newer version 1.9 was availible, I had 1.5.
The new version also had some USB fixes including....Great just what I was looking for.    Well, everything went fine until it was time to reboot....then my system never came back. The screen was blank and black. I can't even get the recovery floppy to work?    Any suggestions as it was late last night and Im at work now.   Is my BIOS chip fubar?   Is it time to replace this motherboard already?

Well gentlemen, I had to laugh when I read the troubleshooting sticky.  It seems the windows booting delay problem with the saitek usb keyboard hooked up  was caused by USB support being enabled instead of disabled.   I will always read the sticky's first from now on.  Sooooo !
Here I am with this beautiful  looking paper weight with lights !
After flashing BIOS from live update  (  I know  now )   my system never came back to me.   I reset CMOS with the button, and I also removed the battery and put it back in.  No help !                                   I made the Bios recovery floppy, for the award bios recovery, but when I power up the floppy never kicks in .    I 'll try and pick up a new CMOS battery tomorrow.  Interesting though that the D bracket lights to  "  initializing Video Interface "  and there she stays.     I'm wondering now If I should just get me a new bios chip. Which to me would be the easiest way to go.  I keep my board intact and everything  stays put.   No loading all the software all over again.  I'm not without, I have my Vaio, but pczilla was my baby........ya know the feeling right.   I don't know of any other course to take unless somebody out there has a better idea, I'm all ears   ............

As i understand he couldn't get the result when using Windows 7. That's why he has changed the operating system to Windows 8. Then he installed the driver which the arrow shows in the picture. After the process he was able to flash same rom with SP Flash tool v3.1304.0.sn119.

  • Dead after flashing -

I just finished flashing to the new 2.1 version for the 875P.  Every thing looked fine and after the reboot NOTHING
I read in the MSI book on how to revive the bios by renaming the AMI bios file to AMIBOOT.ROM and put in on the floppy and press CTRL and HOME when Powering on...  IT DOESN"T WORK.. I get no activity from the floppy.
Do I have to use the orginal Bios that came with the system or will the newest bios work..???????
ANY SUGGESTION.......  Has anyone been able to recover from a bad flash??
Any MSI Tech people around that can help???
I've never had so much trouble with a mother board... This is beyond ridiculos, I can't belive MSI won't step up to the plate and Fix this mother board...  I doubt if MSI will get my business again.

No luck at all..   Whats with these stupid key combinations anyways..  why not put a  button on the mother board that does the job....
for 6 months I've had nothing but problems with this board, and I read that others are having the same issues and nothing is being done to solve them...   and this board wasn't cheap... 245.00 cdn... is a lot too pay for crap.
I guess I'm going to have to RMA this board...     I've been in contact with MSI tech support for other issues with this board.
Would have been nice to get it going again....  I hate that now I have to fork out money for a new board while I wait for this one to be replaced.    I doubt if MSI will ship me a replacement and then allow me to send this one back.

    3. What "dead usb port"?

I plugged my USB keyboard/mouse in the back and it didn't work, but I plugged it into any of the other 4 USB ports and it worked.
Assemble user's error. Check for properly connections here: >>If you are having problems with USB ports, read this topic.<<

Additional Notes: It does boot into my old installation of Windows just fine. Do I just need to install the new drivers/utilities to make sure the motherboard works? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

  • N73 dead after updating from nokia online firmware...

ok guys, please be advised that upgrading N73 is not something everyone can do! Please view the software upgrade page completely before upgrading your phones. It is all stated there already.
Here is a quote from the page:
Please note that not all N73 models have new software available. Nokia produces many different variants of each product (for different countries and languages) and not all variants have updated software. It is our priority to update all variants as quickly as possible and we apologize for the delay. We will let you know as soon as new variants do become available. (24-Nov-06)
Nokia N93 updates are temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. You can still download and install the Nokia Software Updater application to your computer for use with other compatible Nokia products. (16-Nov-06)

  • Satellite A500-1DN (PSAR3E) - Dead BIOS after flashing

    Hi all.
At first, sorry for my english.
My problem is simple I have a dead bios after flashing from toshiba service station (or something like that).
How does it happened? :4 days ago it was asking me for update. It was for me totaly normal because it is asking for some updates every day. I enablished that update and after some cliks on button next I noticed that it was BIOS update and it was nearly at half. I wanted to wait to end (because i know if I stop bios uptade I end up with dead bios(corrupted bios)) but it stoped nearly at end and it showed me some errors. After that my laptop made a restart and i could not stop it. It turned off.
Now if i push power button i get black screen (like it is turned off) som leds lights and Cpu fan at 10% maybe.
What i did 3 last days? : I searched all the interned about what to do with it. I tried maybe 10 types off crisdisks with usb and CD(with floppy not becose Bios for my laptop is too big for 1 floopy).
I tried to boot with FN+B it worked for me CD drive started to search for CD, USB drive showed activity but to dead end happened nothing. I tried to make Boot usb with newer minidos.sys and phlash16.exe. I tried to combinate it but still nothing.
I tried all what i found on forums everywhere on internet. nothing helped.
Another thing is that only one bios i found was 1.90. If somebody has a older bios for my laptop pls give me link. I am losing hope becose i cant find anithing on google.
I am a advenced user I did nearly everithing with pc but i never worked with dead bios.
Pls help me somebody and give me a correct crisdisk for my model. Or different sugestion.

    hi,
sorry, mate but you should contact the Asp http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/
Unfortunately, the warranty doesn't cover bios failure and you will have to pay about 50-60 Us dollars (Anyway, it costs like this in my service center)

  • Mid-2010 battery dead after 629 cycles?!?

    Hi,
My mid-2010 Macbook Pro 15" battery is seemingly dead after only 629 cycles. It says that the condition is "replace now" and the green indicator lights flash when I press the button on the side. It was working fine, and then I didn't use the computer for a little while, and now the battery doesn't charge and it has to be plugged in.
I'm hesitant to think the battery has just failed, because like I mentioned, there are only 629 cycles on it, and it was working prefectly before, and it seems very sudden.
    Any help/thoughts/suggestions are appreciated!
    Thanks!

Make an appointment at the genius bar.  Have you fully discharged and recharge fully over the battery's 2 yr life?  This is good to do a few times a year.

  • KT6V 7021 - OnBoard NIC "dead" after BIOS 2.00 update ... any thoughts?

    Hi!
Just flashed KT6V BIOS 2.00 and now my onboard nic suddenly stopped working.
The network adapter gets recognized by Windows as usual, but although I do get a dhcp lease from my server I'm unable to connect to any share on it. It's also impossible to surf the web or to simply ping any local/remote host. If I try to connect to the system from any other workstation on the lan it doesn't work either.
The network status only shows a great amount of sent packages - caused by AVAST! as it tries to look for an update on boot - but only "0" received.
I flashed the BIOS from the emergency diskette and did a CMOS clear (Jumper) afterwards. And yes, I did disconnect my PSU from the wall socket.
Since I need network access to the system I tried stepping back to BIOS 1.90 but with no avail - the onboard nic doesn't receive a single paket after it has got it's dhcp lease.
Any clue what might be wrong and how I'm able to get my nic back to work?
Thank you in advance for any useful help.

    Hi Fredrik.
    Quote
So if you were to downgrade BIOS problems would go away, right?
I have already downgraded to BIOS 1.90 and the problem stayed the same - the onboard nic is still dead beef.
    Quote
When clearing CMOS there can be no el. left in your system, so unplug power cable etc.
As mentioned in my first post I _have_ unplugged the power cord from the wall socket.
    Quote
If the new BIOS would affect NIC card... Hm, it is hard to see quite how.
I can't think of any reason either, however, the nic went dead after updating to BIOS v2.00. I assume that there must be some kind of "network code" inside the bios which has to do with the onboard nic - otherwise I'm unable to explain why the MAC address suddenly changed to "11:22:33:44:55:66". If I would only have a clue on how to access and/or flash the nic ... ???
    Quote
Is there any error marks for the nic in say Device Manager, if you get that far?
Nope, there is no question or exclamation mark on the network card in the device manager. Windows thinks the card is working, but in reality it isn't. As already stated: No traffic from/to the network.

  • Left USB-Port dead after wake from sleep. Just restart helps.

I hoped Apples keyboard-Update today would solve my biggest hate-bug in this buggy POS called Leopard. It didn't.
As usual on my Leopard-Macbook Pro, no device will work on the left USB-Port after I waked the computer from sleep. Just a restart helps. I hoped this update to solve this, because it replaced among others "IOUSBFamily.kext".
Terminal gives a timeout error for the internal USB-Hub after wake from sleep. I assumed this should be related.
    I'm really angry now.
When will Apple solve the most urgent problems in Leopard?
Was 10.5.1 just smoke and mirrors to make (fool people into...) people upgrade who intended to wait until the first maintenance-update?
Was Leopard Apples attempt to make Windows-Users more comfortable by putting in some heavy extra-bugs and blue screens?
FIX IT FINALLY! And f... don't wait for Macworld to release 10.5.2. It's desperately needed and the current state of Leopard will leave some people very sad at christmas after getting their first Mac. First impression counts and many more peoples first contact with the Mac will be at christmas...

Apple knows the problem and for some reason they are stumped on fixing it. this is so bad I can't believe it. On my macbook pro with Leopard installed, USB left port is dead after sleep. Only restarting can power it back up. I have to restart every day to use my external hard drive for time machine or when putting my flash drive in the port.
Come on already Apple. This is a SERIOUS, SERIOUS problem.
    Fix it.

  • BB z10 dead after bluescreen, how to copy or backup files?

My BB z10 went completly dead after bluescreen. It wont charge, connect to computer or anything only led is flashing twice all the time. Phone was running on 10.3 os and about two months ago started randomly shut down, even with battery on 60-70%. First i pulled out my phone from otterbox case cause I thought it was due to overheating it helped a little but afer few weeks it started again. Second I thought it was due to not connecting baterry pins so i put a little pice of paper for better connection. This helped for about a month. Yesterday phone again shut down without no reason so I pulled it out from otterbox as always and phone turned on normally. After few hours bluescreen appeared and phone went completly dead as I described. After connecting phone to computer it finds him for a few seconds and on BB link i can reset the phone, or cant I because when I try to do it phone connection is lost after few seconds. The thing is i cannot simply change the phone or OS due to important files i have. Is there any way to copy all the files or backup them from that dead bb? the files are encrypted but i can decrypt them later, i just want to copy all of the data. Please help

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
If the device will not stay powered up, there is no native way to extract the files from it. This, of course, is the reason that backups are a pro-active, not a reactive thing to be done.
Further, if you used the device encryption for those files, then no you can't "decrypt them later"...they can only be decrypted on that specific device. If you used a different encryption method, then of course you can use whatever it supports.
Based on all you describe, I suggest you obtain access to an identical device that does not have problems. Trade batteries and see what happens. The result will narrow down if your battery or device itself is the root of the problem.
    Good luck!

  • P1i dead after running Update Service - any suggestions

    Hi
My P1i appears completly dead after running Update Service.  I've tried removing the battery, fully charging the battery etc.  When i run Update Service again it just says my phone is up-to-date.
    any suggestions?

Unfortunately, in this case, we would only be able to suggest sending the handset for service. Usually when running the Update Service, you should get the option for EXIT but also for INSTALL when you are advised that you have the latest software. If you do not have this, the handset may need to be flashed by an engineer.
If you wish to do this, I'd recommend contacting your local support team to be advised of your nearest service location. Contact details can be found here:

  • AC Adapter dead after firmware update

Just wondering if anyone else out there has had their AC adatpter fizzle out and die (with that wonderful electrical burning smell) immediately after updating to the lastest firmware?
I'd been using the Macbook for an hour or so with it plugged into a UPS battery backup (a bit of overkill I know, but I was really just using it as a powerboard at the time) then updated the firware and everything was fine...for about a minute then the power brick fizzled out and I noticed a flash of light through the cracks then it stopped working. The 'book is fine running off the battery, but that is only going to last another half an hour or so before running flat.
Hopefully it will be replaced straight away when I take it into the Apple store today - we'll seee

    Quick update:
Apple store are replacing the dead power supply on Monday - hooray!
On Saturday the battery ran dry in record time - boo!
I have several files on the Macbook that my GF needs for her thesis that is due on Monday - sigh!

  • Z68A-GD80(G3) Can no longer read external hd dock after flashing beta bios

I flashed E7672IMS.J31 Beta Bios because I was on a very old bios that was not compatible with my GTX 970 card I just bought.  Flashing the bios fixed my 970 compatibility but in the process made it so my 2 external hd docks no longer worked (at this time on windows 7).  self powered usb harddrives still worked though.  At this time my sata mode was IDE which I thought might have had to do with it since it doesnt have hotswap. I assumed it was an issue with some drivers I installed after flashing the beta bios and I was due for upgrading/reformatting anyways so I enabled AHCI and hot swap then did a clean install of windows 8.1.  The external hard drives still don't read!!   I've used multiple different hard drives and different usb ports including usb 2.0.  The docks are usb 3.0 and I use them daily to edit photos from my work.  Any ideas of things I could try?
    My pc:
    intel 2500k
    16gb Corsair vengeance ram
    MSI 970 GTX GPU
    Corsair 750w power supply
    Z68A-GD80(G3) motherboard
    E7672IMS.J31 Beta Bios

Could the issue be that I didn't download the Intel Management Driver after installing the beta bios I flashed?  Maybe I could try that first, which one from this list do I use with my pc setup?
    thanks for the help!

  • MSI 770T-C45 won't post after flashing BIOS with M-FLASH

After flashing AMIBIOS 8.3 to v8.7 with M-FLASH via USB stick I can't get any post.
Had I read this forum before I wouldn't have done it, but here I am.
Fan starts, LEDs are off, no beeps at all, power button does nothing. Black screen.
After force flashing (yes, I am THAT stupid) the prompt said it would reboot in 5 seconds and after that nothing.
    Here's my setup:
    Board: MSI 770T-C45
    Original Bios: v8.3
Flashed Bios:  v8.7 (flashed with M-FLASH)
VGA:   EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
    PSU:   Enermax FMAII EG465AX-VE 460W
    CPU: AMD Phenom x4 9650
    MEM: Kingston DDR2-667 4x2GB KVR667D2N5/2G
    HDD: SAMSUNG 840 SSD 250GB
    OS: Windows 8 Pro 64bit
I tried every CMOS clearing method found in previous posts and threads (including this and this.)
    1. Unplugged from power, waited 5 minutes, removed the battery (5mins), changed jumper position (5min), switched it back (5min), plugged it in (5min) and powered up with and without USB stick in the hub next to network hub with old BIOS (v8.3) inside. Pressed CTRL+HOME, anything, not a single message or beep or LED flashing.
Also I removed all RAMs and kept one in the first socket. Nothing.
I really don't know what to do next. What seems to differ from other users is LEDs non working, what does that mean?

The problem here is that after update 8.6 the m-flash module was updated, so yes your mobo is a brick, but there is still hope for it. I had the same situation a few days ago with the exact same model and was able to recover it by following the steps on listed on the below posts:
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=133578.0
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=129989.0
It may seem complicated at first, but trust me its not at all.
Anyways you probably already have another mobo, send it for RMA or used it as frisbee, but it may come handy for some other doing the same noob flashing as we did
