Dr who season 6

I purchased Dr Who Season 6 pt 1 and I ma unable to download episode 7 without paying another 2.99 for it. This episode is supposed to be part of the season pass. Please help..

The following layout should fix things:
Show = Doctor Who
Season = 6
Episode ID = s06e01 - s06e08
Episode No. = 1 - 8
Album = Doctor Who (as Show)
Disc No. = 6 (as Season No.)
Track No. = 1 - 8 (as Episode No.)
If you want all your Doctor Who seasons listed under a single icon just set:
Season = <Blank>
For all episodes from all seasons.
It may also help to set Artist & Album Artist to something like "Doctor Who Cast" if the order is still somewhat random after the changes above.

    Tell iTunes store support if ithis is an isolated problem - they may need to re-encode the file if it's wrong.

    Where is Doctor Who season 6 ep. 5? Its available on Amazon, why not itunes?

    Who knows.  I'm very disappointed with Apple for this one.  I mean I've been loving the season pass, but if I don't even get a email soon I will not be buying season 6 part 2.
    Yeah, same here, ignoring people and hoping they'll go away isn't the best customer service strategy.
    Between this and one other channel nobody else but DirecTV has the US rights to (and I'm getting tired of these "rights holders" and their BS), I broke down and ordered the basic Direct package.
    I doubt I'll be bothering with "season passes" anymore. iTunes simply isn't reliable. Though it wouldn't be nearly so bad if they'd *say* something. A simple "we're sorry, here's why it's delayed" would help.

  • Season Pass Dr. Who Season 7 Part 1 AND 2

    I have purchased a "season pass" for Dr. Who Season 7.  I purchased BOTH part 1 and part 2, but for some reason not all the episodes are available.  I know the new ones take a few days... but what happened to the Snowmen Christmas Special.It doesn't make sense to watch the episodes of part 2 if you haven't seen the Snowmen episode.  We watch three of season 7 and kept thinking something was wrong... we missed something.  Finally figured out the Snowmen episode is missing.    It certainly should be part of season 7... either part 1 OR part 2, but it appears I have to pay additional to watch it.  Are we doing something wrong? or is there some reason this is being held out for a separate fee?
    In September I bought the season pass with the understanding it was for a SEASON.  I purchased part 2 begrudgingly, but thought I would be getting the rest of the season.  Seriously $30+ wasn't enough for a single season???  If there are going to be episodes "held out" of the season pass, there should certainly be a disclaimer letting the customer know.  I would have waited to by a DVD set if I'd known what this would cost me by the end of the season.  I am a big Apple fan, but unless I am doing something wrong to get the FULL season, this certainly seems like a scam.
    Anyone know if this is supposed to be this way?

    We are all just fellow users here and have no more idea than you do why any given item is not available. It's almost certainly an issue of rights, since the iTunes Store can sell only what they can license, but why ABC cannot or will not grant the rights is something no one here will know.
    Regards.

  • When will the Doctor Who series 6 soundtrack be available in the US?

    It's available on the iTunes UK site, as well as on AmazonUK, but I'd like to purchase the soundtrack of the latest Doctor Who season on iTunes' US page. Any details on when it'll be available?

    I've been wondering the same thing. Comparing the release dates for the Series 5 soundtrack, it was released in the UK November 8, 2010 but wasn't released until February 8, 2011 in the US. Seeing that it's exactly three months later, I'd be willing to venture that there's some rule governing the release of media in the US that originates in the UK. So that could mean waiting till March for the new soundtrack, which I certainly hope is not the case. :\

  • Why did the price for Doctor Who double in less then a week?

    Last week the price for Doctor Who (Seasons 1-4) were $10 each. Now they are $24-27 each.
    I know they are trying to make a profit- but did it have to be such a drastic price change? i find it very frustrating.
    i'm only sixteen and i could justify for buying ALL the Doctor Who seasons for like $78 but now its almost double that price.
    just one question Why?

    It was likely a sale price that you saw last week and this week, it's back to the regular price.

  • How to view videos stored in home imac on iPod or iPad over wifi

    hello;
    Using the web server on the iMac there is a easy way
    to view stored videos on the iPod or iPad. When I say 'easy'
    I consider it easy, you may not find it 'easy'.
    The most low tech way is to create a symbolic link from the video file
    to the /Library/WebServer/Documents/ directory.
    example:
    open a terminal window.
    create a symbolic link from the video file on the iMac to the /Library/WebServer/Documents/
    sudo ln -s <iTunes Library Directory>/TV Shows/<TV Show Name>/<TV Season>/<TV Episode> video-link-01
    To view the video on either an iPod, iPad, or another computer in Safari
    you would enter the following:
    http://<computer-name.local>/video-link-01
    The video will be shown by QuickTime plugin in Safari...
    I have written a perl script which I use to create the necessary html files
    to view all the TV Shows that I have stored on my iMac. You could also
    create these using a text editor like vim or textedit.
    The index.html lists the TV Shows in alphabetical order.
    For each TV Show there is a corresponding html file which list the seasons.
    For each TV Show Season there is a corresponding html file which lists the episodes.
    Below is a short example.
    sudo cd /Library/WebServer/Documents
    sudo ln -s /Users/me/Music/iTunes/iTunes\ Music/TV\ Shows ./TV\ Shows
    the index.html file contains:

    The same may be done for movies and music.
    I am working on coming up with a way to play an entire musical album and playlist.
    Right now it is single songs only which tends to limit its usefulness.
    For videos it does work extremely well. Even though I have a 64GB iPad, a 64GB iPod touch, a 32GB iPod touch, a 32GB iPod touch( 1st generation), and an 16GB iPod nano I do not have to sync a video to them in order to be able to view the video.
    I am able to sit in my favorite Caribou Coffee Shop and watch the latest TV shows I have purchased on iTunes
    over the wifi network.
    Suggestions are to use the Standard Definition file and not the High Definition file.
    I personally cannot tell the difference between the Standard Definition file and the High Definition file
    on the iPods or the iPad.
    I hope that helps you to enjoy your iPods, iPhones, and iPads.

  • ITunes (AppleTV) TV Show Episode Sort Order

    I have purchased Dr Who Season 6 but it comes in two parts. Part One and Part Two.
    When these settle into iTunes in the TV series section they combine into one season but the sort (play) order is wrong.
    When viewing from within iTunes or through Apple TV they appear out of order.
    The order they appear is:
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 1      Episode 1
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 2      Episode 1
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 1      Episode 2
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 2      Episode 2
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 1      Episode 3
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 2      Episode 3
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 1      Episode 4
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 2      Episode 4
    I want them to be listed in the correct 'original air date' order so I can watch them in sequence.
    I want them to appear as follows:
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 1      Episode 1
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 1      Episode 2
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 1      Episode 3
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 1      Episode 4
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 2      Episode 1
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 2      Episode 2
    Doctor Who, Season 6, Part 2      Episode 3
    Docrot Who, Season 6, Part 2      Episode 4
    I have fiddled around with all of the settings below and now they appear OK in iTunes (because I have manually edited the 'Episode ID' and also the Edisode Number) but not on Apple TV they still appear in the original (incorrect order). AppleYV does not seem to recognise the manual changes
    What do I need to edit to get them to show in 'original air date' order on AppleTV so I can watch Season 6 in the right order?
    Video Screen:
    Season Number
    Episode Number
    Episode ID
    Info Screen:
    Track XX of XX
    Disc Number XX of XX
    Sorting Screen:

    The following layout should fix things:
    Show = Doctor Who
    Season = 6
    Episode ID = s06e01 - s06e08
    Episode No. = 1 - 8
    Album = Doctor Who (as Show)
    Disc No. = 6 (as Season No.)
    Track No. = 1 - 8 (as Episode No.)
    If you want all your Doctor Who seasons listed under a single icon just set:
    Season = <Blank>
    For all episodes from all seasons.
    It may also help to set Artist & Album Artist to something like "Doctor Who Cast" if the order is still somewhat random after the changes above.

    it's not just videos from the "outside" - i'm having this issue with brand new material downloaded from itunes.  specifically, doctor who season 6 part 2 and futurama season 8.

  • Can you restore specific items from an itunes back-up disc?

    When I back up purchases made only since my previous back-up, how does restoring work if I want to bring back things from my previous back-up as well as my current one? Can I restore certain items only, rather than the whole disc? For example, I'm backing up two seasons of Doctor Who and want to delete from itunes on my computer to save space. It I've done a back-up disc, can I reload only the Doctor Who files and not all the music files, etc? Or do I need to save individual items, such as Dr Who seasons, as data on a separate DVD?
    Hope my questions make sense! Thanks in advance for any help on this!
    Dawn

    As far as I'm aware iTunes does an all or nothing restore, but then I've never relied upon it so I might be mistaken.
    Fast backup for iTunes library  (Windows)
    Grab SyncToy  2.1, a free tool from MS. This can be used to copy your entire iTunes library (& other important data folders) onto another hard drive or network share. You can then use SyncToy periodically to synchronise or echo your library to the backup. A preview will show which files need to be updated giving you a chance to spot unexpected changes and during the run only the new or updated files will be copied saving lots of time.
    If your media is all organised below the main iTunes folder then you should also be able to open the backup library on any system running the same version of iTunes, regardless of the drive letter or path it appears on.
    With this method you get a file for file clone so if you accidentally delete/corrupt a single file you can just go and copy that back from the backup.
    It's never a good idea to rely on only having one copy of a file, and even worse if that copy is buried inside an archive format. A single error can render the entire archive inaccessible.

  • HT201272 None of my previously purchased TV shows show up in the Library. This is new computer. I have deauthorized previous computers and authorized this one. Why aren't TV shows that I purchased showing up?

    No previously purchaesd TV shows are shown in the library. This is new computer, old one bit the dust. De-authorized all old computers. Authorized new one. Music shows up but not TV Shows I already bought. Any help?

    I should have mentined that none of my previous TV Show purchases show up in the purchased sub heading. The Music is there but no TV Shows. I am most interested in recovering Doctor Who Season 7.1, 7.2 and Christmas Specials. The rest I am not as concerned about.
