Draft folder with Comcast POP acct

I use Comcast email (POP). I have tried to save draft copies of messages, but the draft folder is not displayed. Is this possible with a POP acct thru Comcast?

Checking out Pdf files to Local draft Folder option no longer works after office 2013 installed.
    Summary :
We are using SharePoint 2010 Ent edition and users were able to checkout Pdf files similar to local drafts folder like any other office file without any problem when they used office 2010.
    i.e
Unfortunately ever since their machines upgraded with office 2013 recently , this functionality completely stopped working for PDF files. This has now become a big problem for the users when it comes to check out and replace PDF files.
All browser plugins required for this functionality (i.e    SharePoint OpenDocuments Class ) are all available and active. All document libraries are configured to Checkout is required for editing files. Browser version
used at the moment is IE9 (32 bit) version with windows 7.
Can anyone please help with this issue and any help to get away with this problem is much appreciated.

    Hi,
Based on your description, my understanding is that the PDF files cannot be checked out to local drafts folder after Office 2013 is installed.
Did this issue occur with Office files?
I recommend to check if the Office files can be checked out to local drafts folder with Office 2013.
And it is recommended to use Office 2010 with SharePoint 2010 for best practice.
    Thanks,
    Victoria

  • Drafts are Disappearing from Apple Mail Drafts Folder

I am using Apple Mail wil my Mobile Me and an IMAP Gmail account.
I create, save and close a draft and it then disappears from my Drafts folder with no sign of it anywhere. To date I have lost many emails and countless hours of work rewriting emails. This is more than frustrating.
Is there a way to recover these missing drafts?
How can I stop this from happening in the future?

    Same issue.
    Any resulotion yet?
This is happening with my 4S - never was a problem with 3G.

  • Draft Folder in IMAP with Outlook 2010

    Hi.
I have three Outlook accounts (work related) that I recently converted to IMAP from POP.  Everything seems to be working fine with the exception that I can't find a way of having the "Drafts" folder appear in the Folders List.  There
doesn't seem to be a way of finding a draft either.
Today I composed quite a lengthy email and when I clicked on "send" Outlook stalled and gave the warning that it was "not responding" - this is very unusual.  After a few seconds the email just disappeared and now I cannot recover
it.  It has been my experience in a POP account environment that if a composed email fails to "send" for any reason, it automatically saves a copy in the "drafts" folder - this doesn't seem to be the case in IMAP.
Any suggestions as to how I can get access to a "Drafts" folder and have it displayed in a MAPI environment?
    Thanks

  • How can I save a reply email to drafts folder when using hotmail on my ipad2 with safari ??

It appears that the iPad mail app cannot push drafts so I can access them on a pc.     If there is a way to do this, I would like to know
If the above is not possible, I'd like to know how to save a reply email to the drafts folder when accessing hotmail on my iPad from safari.   I can't seem to find a button on the hotmail pag, or any help instructions anywhere.     I hav done this for years using a pc with Firefox or explorer with no problem.  This has to be so easy that it will seem like I asked q stupid Ustinov when I get the answer!

I am still waiting for an answer.    If you don't know the answer, but know who to ask or where to look to find an answer, I'd really appreciate it.

  • An Email in progress leaves me with 5-8-10 drafts of the same email in my draft folder

Now, when i am working on an email for awhile, and then finally send it, I find 5-8-10 drafts of the email in my draft folder. Previously it saved periodically and once the em was sent, the draft disappeared. Now I have to cintinually clean out the draft folder of useless duplicates. And the delete is slow.
I STILL can't find anything with the search command. And f I try to search- I can not see emails in ANY folder until I ave logged out and logged back in. If I log in too quickly - I still can;t see emails.- just felt like whining.....
Icloud email is unbelievably dis-appointing. I would think we would see improvements everyday- but its like they have given this to us and gone out to lunch.
    Thx

This has rendered my account unusable.  Leaving mail open for any time can create hundreds of duplicates.  There is no problem with duplicate downloads on my iPhone.

  • Msn email "drafts" folder lost in IOS update; did not reappear with "restore".  Any clues?

msn email "drafts" folder disappeared in IOS update; did not reappear with "restore".
    Any clues?
    Thanks in advance!

I thought I would voice my opinion as well.
I have an iPhone 3G and whilst I would like to say that it is excellent and that I enjoy using it the reality is that in its current state (2.02 software) it is unusable. I really had to hold my tongue there - I feel really mad at present and feel that apple should try to release software that has been through at least one decent test cycle.
I am on my second phone - the first being returned at the suggestion of apple care who suggested it may be a hardware fault - there was no fault with the hardware - again software issues but I exchanged it to cover both bases.
I have never found that the backup to work and simply do a full restore - which at present I perform on a daily basis as the phone locks at the apple screen on a daily basis and it then takes over 5 hours to restore - it is unusable.
I suspect the underlying issue in my case relates to the volume of applications that I load onto the device - but hey it should be fit for purpose!
What I am looking for here is honest recongnition and report of the issues and problems with the device from apple - and releases that give a clearer indication of their intended purpose i.e. a little more detail than "Bug Fix". Is that too much to ask?

I get an error stating cc cookies dir: cannot make folder / cookies: Permission denied (error 13) when I attempted to download the creative cloud installer on my Mac. Can anyone help with similar pop up window?  I'm trying to get a trial version of CS5.

You do not need to involve Creative Cloud to install/try the trial version of CS5...
You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

  • I created a folder from my camera roll and shared with my icloud acct, can't figure out how to access it from my computer?

I created a folder from my camera roll and shared with my icloud acct, can't figure out how to access it from my computer? I log onto icloud and can't find anywhere where "shared" photos are..

You need Mountain Lion (10.8.2 or higher) and iPhoto '11 (9.4 or higher) or Aperture 3.4 to get shared photo streams on Mac.
Another option to transfer them is to either import them to iPhoto using your usb cable, as explained here:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, or to us an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your Mac over your wifi.  (PhotoSync will also transfer albums, not just photos from the camera roll.)

  • HT1338 I have a Leopard desktop 10.5.8 and I have trouble with MAIL. My draft folder does not work and my draft messages will not delete.        delete

I have a Leopard desktop 10.5.8 and I have trouble with my Email Apple MAIL draft folder. First of all after I typed my draft and sent to draft, the folder would not open at a later date to send. In all I have 10 messages, mainly test which I cannot delete from my Draft folder.
My draft system is now working but I cannot get rid of the  10 messages which sit in my INBOX and DRAFT folders.
These messages appear in Application - Mail but they will not go.
How do I delete, or is it best to use My Disc 1# and delete all my software and replace with the Disc in order to have a new MAIL program?
    Any advice would be welcome.

    HI,
Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup),  it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
    Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup
Note, in 10.5 & up /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/ may or may not exist.

  • Powershell to create pop box which then creates a folder (with entered value) and sub folder with specific security

    Hi All,
Complete novice to powershell would love some help to assist a new windows storage workflow I am implementing.
I have a windows server 2012 file server (\\FS01) and projects share \\fs01\projects.
We use job numbers to create a project and name the folders with the job num (eg Job Num XX12345 , \\fs01\projects\XX12345)
Then after each project folder is created we will create 4 subfolders underneath and specify the following rights to the following AD groups.
Folder Name - AD Group- Permission
    Scoping - Project_Management -RW
    Delivery - Project_Management -R
    Finance - Finance- RW
    Assets - Creative - R
I would like to create a script that lives in the route of \\FS01\Projects and when clicked a pop up box appears, the end users enters the job code  and then the script sets up the folder with the entered value and creates sub folders with the referenced
    AD groups and security.
    Any help would be awesome!
    Sammy

Start by learning how to write PowerShell scripts.  What you are asking is a whole complex list of requirements.  This is a forum and not free consulting or training.
Workflows are complex beasts that require a good knowledge of PowerShell.  Now is the time to start your training.  I recommend starting with a good book and taking your time learning PowerShell step-by-step.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Rules for migrating a Comcast POP mail acct to IMAP

when creating an IMAP version of my pre-existing Comcast, what happens to the mail stored when the same account that was set up as a Comcast POP account

Nothing should happen to it, except you would now be able to see all the local folders in IMAP.  You can re-create the same account using IMAP and it will have no effect on the POP3 account in your client.  You can run both in paralell if you like, but most people will delete the POP account once it's also set up as IMAP.  Go ahead and do the IMAP and leave the POP account alone.  You will see what I mean when you do.  You can use the same password and user ID.
The difference is this-----POP only works on the Inbox.  IMAP syncs everything, including local folders on any device/computer you have the account enabled on.  POP is fine for those who only check their email on one computer.  IMAP is ideal for those who check it on more than one device.  And whatever you do to an email on one device is reflected on all others with that account enabled on them.

  • Problems sending & problems with my Draft folder

What is going on with mail? Ever since I updated to SL, my MB's mail has been acting up. Two things in particular are happening. One, mail doesn't get sent right away. Whether I have a large file with attachments or a small one line file, the 'spinning disk' sits by the Sent folder for 30 seconds to 1 minute. I look at the Activity window (though I don't know what I am looking for) and see that it is doing its 'thing,' whatever that is. My wireless connection is fine; full bars.
The other thing that is happening is I am getting all sorts of messages in my Drafts folder. I recently sent one email to a friend - and he received it - but now I have two copies of the same message in my Draft folder. Prior to logging on the the Discussion Board just now, I checked my email and see I have 15 copies of an email I sent (and it was received) a couple of hours ago. I have a total of 17 files in my Draft folder and 13 of them are the same.
    I'm using SL 10.6.1 and Mail 4.1
Any thoughts on what is happening?
    Thanks.
    Chip

Someone at the Apple Store told me that these so-called drafts are actually just multiple versions of messages I was writing. But now I am up to 1,246 drafts- it is getting a little out of hand.

  • Problem with Drafts folder

I'm back on the x2 BT Yahoo mail but it still acts up like a Beta version.
Last week I input a lengthy email but had to save it in my Drafts folder pending further info that I needed. That came today so I looged in to my mail, saw that the Drafts folder had a '1' next to it but when I click on it to open it its says that there are no emails in my Drafts folder.
If I log out than back in, it again says shows the '1'. I wait until thge page has loaded but still get the blasted 'no emails in your Drafts folder'.
I can't find any previous threads on this - has anyone else had the same problem please?
    Thanks

    Taff078,
    Glad it worked.
Regarding Advanced Search, you first need to use the Mail Search facility.
When you get your results, on the left hand side  you get a section headed "Refine Results"
Below this you get "Advanced Search" and "Search Tips"
Clicking on "Advanced Search" you get all sorts of options one of which is selecting the folders to search.
This is based on BT Yahoo Mail Classic, I cannot guarantee that it is the same on the later versions that I do not recommend.
